Huerta Belinda is a large secluded Manor House in the small urbanization of El Cuarton, 8km from bohemian Tarifa and its stunning beaches. It has a beautiful pool and lovely relaxing patios and magnificent views across to Morocco and is set in a rustic and natural secluded plot of 7500 m2. We acquired it 12 months ago, and have spent the last year refurbishing it.

The family areas are spacious and luxurious, and most bedrooms have been arranged so that they can be twin beds or king beds. WiFi is throughout the house and around the immediate garden area.

There is a large bbq area close to the pool which easily seats 20 people.

THE BEDROOMS AND SLEEPING AREAS

The house has 4 separate areas with bedrooms, which makes it ideal for large families or indeed three or four families to still holiday together but also have their own private areas and downtime.

Vista bedrooms
The Vista bedrooms are upstairs from the main family lounge and consist of two separate bedrooms, each has the twin room / double bed combination and both have en-suite bathrooms with a bath, and shower combination.

Between the two bedrooms there is a small cozy lounge with a sofa and coffee tables. This room has interconnecting doors with both bedrooms on each side of it. Alternatively, the sofa can be converted to a pull-out double bed with it’s own entrance into the hallway. If converted to a bedroom it would share the bathroom (Separate external entrance ) with the Left Vista room. The lounge also has double patio doors that open onto the large upstairs patio area.

The Left Vista room has wooden patio doors leading out onto the large upstairs patio.

The Right Vista room also has the twin /double bed combination, and has south facing windows that look across the Mediterranean.

Master suite and Garden Room
These two bedrooms can be found at the end of a short corridor that leads off from the formal lounge/ function room.

Master suite bedroom has a king-size wrought iron 4 poster bed, set on a beautiful black and white old marble floor. The room features wrought iron side tables, mirrors and accessories.

The room has a sliding door leads onto an en-suite bathroom. the bathroom has a stand-alone bath with views across to Africa, and a large open walk-in shower area, as well as a double sink and toilet.

The bedroom has a double patio door leading onto a small patio, with table and chairs.

Garden Room bedroom is next to the Master Suite and has a twin / double bed combination offering. It has an en-suite bathroom through a sliding door, which comprises a large open space shower as well as a large sink and toilet.

The bedroom is either accessed off the small corridor from the function room or it has a single door access from the walled garden, that comprises a small lawn and fruit trees.

The Patio rooms
This self-contained family suite is either accessed through the external kitchen door or from the patio that leads onto the small walled-garden area.

It has a separate entrance from the patio that opens into a small family area with a couple of comfy chairs and a coffee table. The family area leads to two bedrooms, the Right patio room has the twin / double bed combination, and a built in wardrobe. The Left patio room is the smaller of the two rooms and has a normal sized double bed, and again has a built in wardrobe.

Both bedrooms share a bathroom, that has a bath/shower combination, a large sink and toilet as well as bathroom cabinets for toiletries, etc.

Finally, in the central courtyard area by the entrance to the house are the Courtyard Rooms The Courtyard rooms are accessed from the courtyard by going up a few steps that have created a mezzanine level compared to the rest of the house.

The Left Courtyard room is a large bright and airy apartment style room. It has the twin / double bed combination, as well as a a couple of comfy chairs and coffee table. It has extensive built in wardrobes along one wall, with twin windows on another that look out across the Walled garden area. There is a large en-suite bathroom with a bath/shower combination.

The Right Courtyard room is more or less a mirror image of the Left Courtyard room, again with the twin/double bed possibility, but in addition it has an adjoining smaller room that accommodates two single beds.

REST OF THE HOUSE

Having driven through the gate into the private grounds and parking up, there is a large entrance that brings you into a beautiful tiled courtyard with a covered walkway and a three tier fountain, pillars and painted Andalusian pictorial tiles.

Looking straight ahead, framed through an archway is Gibralmussa, the African half of the pillar of Hercules, dominates the view. Turning to the right sits two large stand-alone rocks between which is set a patio area with bbq and the kidney shaped pool with plenty of sun loungers, small tables and shade.

Walking diagonally through the courtyard brings you to the understated front door of the house.

Family lounge area: The door opens into a large, very high ceilinged family lounged area. Decorated with Spanish wooden antique furniture. Central to the room is a large natural fireplace surrounded by comfy settees, ideal for watching a movie on the large screen TV, or Just relaxing. Opposite the main door is a patio door that leads to a further large patio on the “ African side of the house”..... perfect for watching the sunset or playing on the lawn in front of the house.

There are three stairways that lead off from the lounge, two down and one up. The one going upstairs leads to the the Upstairs bedrooms.

Dining area
There is a short staircase down to the open plan dining room, which looks out on to the lawn and across the straits via two patio doors. The table comfortably seats 14 people, with an easy extension to increase if more people are eating at the same time. The room is airy and has a high ceiling made of terra-cotta and wooden beams. Through the patio doors their is a covered patio that has several large wooden outdoor tables for al fresco dining.

Formal lounge / function room
This large formal room created by the previous owner has a beautiful marble tile floor which came from a Convent in Córdoba, and the far wall of the room is completely covered by a beautiful Belgium tapestry.

The patio doors in the middle of the room open on to another decorative marbled terrace and a few steps off the patio and you are on the front lawn.

The door at the far corner of the room leads off to two bedrooms, the Master Suite and The Garden bedroom.

The kitchen and prep room
The prep room is accessed from the dining room and holds all the crockery, glasses and cutlery needed and has dishwasher and sink and plenty of work surfaces for preparation.

From the prep room you can take a short staircase back up to the casual lounge near the door entrance, or through the arch in to the kitchen. The kitchen is fully fitted and newly installed. It has two ovens and two ceramic hob surfaces for up to 8 saucepans making cooking for large numbers easy. The kitchen has a a large American style fridge that has both refrigerator and freezer space. Under the butchers block working surface is a double wine cooler storage area. Within the kitchen area, there is an additional dishwasher as well as another double sink. The kitchen has a stable door which leads out onto the walled garden and a large terrace area with tables and chairs.

There is a separate utility room which has a washing machine, tumble drier, large catering fridge, a deep freeze and a shelved pantry area.

Fully restored duplex, in traditional house of casco antiguo. Very quiet neighbourhood yet very close to bars and restaurants, 10 mins walk to the beach and 3 mins to a public car park.

This is a recently renovated duplex. The living room and open plan kitchen are very bright and sunny with lovely views and open on to a private patio. There is a 120 cm sofa in the living room. On the lower floor, there is an ensuite bedroom with a double king size bed, a second room with 1 single bed and a 135 cm double bed and a bathroom with a walk in shower.

The entire house has 2 floors, the duplex holds the 1st and 2nd floor, there is a small apartment on the ground floor.

The apartment sleeps 4 people very comfortably, in 2 individual rooms. A sofa bed of 120 cm is available in the living room for 1 or 2 extra guests, with curtains to shut the bed off from the living room and kitchen, allowing for privacy. The rental is intended for 4 people. For each additional guest beyond 4, an additional 10 euros / night will be charged.

The upstairs living room, kitchen and patio are secured with a baby protection barrier.

You are very welcome in our home, but we ask you to respect the following rules:

Parties are not allowed. Fortunately the flat is located in a very calm area of the old town and the neighbourhood has a strong commitment to keep it this way.

A fee of 40 euros is paid for cleaning, but that does not include washing dishes or emptying the rubbish bags. Guests are required to dispose of their own rubbish. Failure to get rid of accumulated trash will result in a charge of 50 euros from the deposit.

Staying in this area has many charms, but also the discomfort of not having containers on the same street. You can find containers at the entrance of the Parking Municipal and also at the junction between c/ Cilla and c/ Amador de los Ríos. Not far.

- "The apartment met all our expectations- a truly calm relaxing oasis but within steps of a hub of shops & restaurants in the ‘old’ part of Tarifa. You wouldn’t know this as the immediate area is very quiet (barring some construction work during the day that never bothered us). We were worried about the lack of A/C but there was no need as the apartment is cool, aided by some fans. Leila & Edu ensured our needs were looked after (shampoo/body gel/conditioner & extra toilet rolls in both bathrooms). The one hitch at the start (the new keys cut for the apartment were sticky) was overcome with the help of the neighbours & then Cristina (local agent) showed up with the older keys - so we had two working sets. The best recommendation I can give is we would happily come back & stay again."

The urbanization is a gated community with lots of green area, has a large excellent adult pool overlooking the sea and another for children. Two paddle tennis courts with artificial grass and night lighting and recreational swing area for children as well as rest areas with umbrellas.

House with ONLY kite and surf people staying. Nice light sunny house on a very nice location. Far more quiet than in town but 2 minutes away from the center. Rooms get not really hot in summer and almost no mosquitos. House on 1st and 2nd floor and downstairs there is a big courtyard. There are only 3 private rooms in the house and 2 bathrooms (one with hot tub and one with shower), a kitchen / living room, books and magazines. We have a sweet kite/surf dog staying who makes every guest feel welcome. She makes everyone fall in love with her!

The house is spacious and in a quiet residential area. It is distributed on three floors:

- **Ground Floor**: It has two terraces. The rear terrace features a table with chairs and a garden space with a barbecue. This floor also includes a living/dining room, a single bathroom and a kitchen, all very spacious.

- **Second Floor**: It has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The shared bathroom is equipped with a tub/shower, wc, washbasin and bidet. Also, there is a shared kitchen. All of these spaces are shared except an en-suite bathroom and of course the private bedrooms.

- **Third Floor**: Private area, not included in rental.

The rented room has a shared bathroom (shower/bathtub, WC) with the guests from the other private room. There is also a separate WC downstairs.

- You share the house with me and with my small, clean, quiet and family friendly puppy. I practice kitesurfing from time to time and I also like to go out. I always respect the silence of my neighbors and ask you to do the same.

You can reach the Floating House by car via an access road.From the house itself, a footpath leads directly to the center of Tarifa, which is only a 15-minute walk away.

Free wifi is available throughout the indoor and outdoor areas of the house. The large area of the house invites you to work quietly, whether for groups in the conference room, relaxed in one of the hammocks or secluded in one of the private rooms.

The house has a stunning rooftop terrace that provides space for many kinds of activities, such as yoga.

Both the private kitchens and the shared kitchen are fully equipped.

Each room at Floating House Tarifa is equipped with bed linen and towels.

In our house we put a lot of emphasis on sustainability. It is one of the few guesthouses in the area that is 100% powered by sustainable energy.

The house also offers a conference room, for groups up to 20 people. This room is equipped with a stable Wi-Fi connection, a large-screen multimedia TV and tools such as a whiteboard for presentations.

Usually the room can be used by every member of our house. However, depending on the arrangement, the room can also be booked exclusively.

Are you arriving by car?

If you come by car from the airport in Malaga, turn into a small rural road before Tarifa. Unfortunately, the path is unlit at night. Therefore we offer you a pick-up service from the International Bird Sanctuary / "International Center for Bird Migration and Global Change". Address:

From there we will accompany you to the entrance of your apartment if you wish.

Are you arriving on foot?
Our house is also easy to find on foot from the Tarifa side. Starting from the port, a small path leads along the Mediterranean Sea up to the hill where our property is located. Please also note here that the path leads up quite steeply and is poorly lit at night. Here, too, we offer you a pick-up service and accompany you to the house.

The space
Cute little beach house tarifa close to the sea in the middle of the Natural Park of the Straits of Gibraltar, 100m from the Sea with a terrace with sea views, perfect for a peaceful holiday.

The house is 30m2 with a 50m2 little garden. It is inside a bigger property, and each house has its individual private garden. It has one small kitchen-living room, one small bedroom with a double bed and a small bathroom. There is access to Internet WIFI. The terrace is beautiful.

It is selfsuficient in electricity produced by the wind and sun. Lots of beautiful walks in the area of this Natural Park of the Straits of Gibraltar

It is necessary to have a car in this property, although you could just have a bicycle also.

Trendy Tarifa is only a couple of kilometers away (a beautiful, 25 minute walk along the cliffs; just eight minutes by car) but right here there is nothing but peace, tranquility and the sound of silence, amazing seascapes and the stunning nature of the Natural Park all around, plunging dramatically down to wild, rocky bays.

Access to this remote, heavenly spot is pretty good considering the terrain all around is so spectacular. Until recently these hills were the sole domain of the Spanish military; they have left now but the roads and tracks they built through the steep hills and valleys remain. The road to the villa is tarmaced, if a little narrow and bendy in places; only the last 800 metres to the house is dirt track. This bit is a little bumpy but easily negotiable in an ordinary car with due care and attention.

It's about as ecological as can be here. There's no mains electricity in this remote corner of Spain, so everything works on solar and wind power; water comes from local wells. There's no air conditioning either, the fresh sea breezes and the stone construction of the villa keep everything cool, even on the hottest of summer days.

There are a million things to do from here, quite apart from reveling in this amazing location. A plethora of coastal and countryside tracks to be explored, an abundance of wild flowers everywhere, a new and always sensational view to be enjoyed at every turn. Only a few roaming cows on the hillsides and the occasional fisherman down on the rocks to keep you company. It's magical!

There are plenty of excellent restaurants and night spots in and around Tarifa, mile upon mile of white, sandy beaches on the Costa de la Luz immediately beyond. There are beautiful white villages in inland Cádiz to visit, wind and kite surfing, diving, golf, horse riding et al. And the capital of the province, Cádiz itself, is well worth a day trip. A very friendly city with a unique atmosphere, it continues to evoke the romance and mystery of centuries of trade (some legal, some not so) between Europe, Africa and the Americas.

Morocco is only 35 minutes away from Tarifa on the high speed catamaran … 35 minutes which will take you to a totally different world. Ferries also leave from Algeciras and, either way, it's a wonderful trip, especially on the longer, 3 hour trip from Algeciras, the ship accompanied through the Straits by dolphins and whales.

The space
Before we get into details, here are 3 THINGS PEOPLE LOVE about our duplex
1.The LOCATION is simply amazing. Located on a quiet side street in the heart of the “Casco Antiguo” (Old Town), countless tapas bars, restaurants, cafes, public market and attractions around...the list is endless, you will be less than 100 steps away from the best food and drinks in Town! But that’s not all, the duplex is only 10 minutes walking from the beach and the port (where you can get the 35 minutes ferry to Tangier), which will give you the opportunity to enjoy both main features of this amazing place within walking distance: the Ocean and the History of the Old Town.
2.The ROOF TOP TERRACE is an amazing way to chill out and enjoy a mojito, a cold beer or a glass of wine during the numerous sunny days in this beautiful town.
3.The DUPLEX has been fully renovated and offers all kind of amenities, however it keeps the typical character and charm of old Andalusian buildings. The duplex has a private entrance. Although it is tiny, it sleeps up to 4 people, it is comfortable and spacious, has a queen size bed in the room and double sofa bed easy opening in the living room. WI FI in any floor including the roof top terrace.
Here are 3 THINGS TO CONSIDER before renting:
1.The access to the ROOF TOP TERRACE might be not the best option for people who have mobility problems as the roof hatch is very narrow and we are aware it is not ideal scenario. We are waiting for a permit to make the access easier, however at the moment we have not received it yet and we apologise for any inconvenience this might cause.
2.Although the duplex is located in one of the quietest street of the Old Town, with no bars and restaurants in the street, due to the Old Town being very popular in summer, this comes with a small element of noise in the evenings (mainly people that walk and talk, no music or any other kind of noise). We have installed noise reduction-windows in the bedroom and the noise level is now extremely low.
3.Like a lot of buildings in the Old Town, there is currently no AIR CONDITIONING in our duplex and to be honest, there is no need for it as the bedroom is very chilly even in hot summer days. We do have fans in case you need them.

You will have access to the duplex trough an independent, private entrance directly on the street.
Parking Space is available in the street, however very hard to find during summer days and high season. In case you don’t find any parking space available, you can definitely leave the car in front of the house for 5-10 minutes to drop your stuff and then park outside the Old Town. We will be more than happy to give you some “parking space tips” if you need them.
The Duplex is divided into three floors. The first floor consists of a bedroom and bathroom, the second floor of a living room with kitchen area with a double sofa bed and the third floor from the terrace. Our place is suitable for a couple, a family with kids or a group of 3 friends. We would not recommend the flat for 4 adults as there would not be enough privacy.
The bathroom is small, but it has all you need, from shampoo, shower gel and hair dryer. The kitchen is fully furnished, it has 2 fires, microwave, washing machine, toaster, fridge and all you need to enjoy a nice breakfast or dinner in the house. We don’t have a dishwasher, sorry!
In Tarifa, like it happened to us few years ago, most people fall in love with the town immediately, we cannot really explain what exactly makes Tarifa so special and different from other places we have been.
It is not only about the gorgeous white sand beach, the stunning views, the amazing nature, the awesome food, the night life, the history in the Old Town, the wind, the surf, the Ocean. It is also about the atmosphere, Tarifa has for sure the most chilled out atmosphere ever, but this is something we cannot describe, you must come and live it yourself!

*Digital Nomads and Business Travelers: the duplex is only 5 steps from the first and best co-working space in Tarifa, La Coccotera. They do offer a special rate to our guests of 10% discount.

Due to the small size of the entrance, the house is not recommend for those traveling by bicycle. We apologize for the inconvenience.
