Billy’s Beach Retreat is the ideal place to relax, enjoy the beautiful beaches and explore the Sunshine Coast, Hinterland Villages & the various local markets. It is about 400m (5mins) walk to the beach and about 10mins walk to restaurants, shops and Coolum Surf Club
The home is well appointed and comfortable with the kitchen and living area recently renovated.There is a large patio area off the living room with an adjustable folding arm awning. Alternatively, you can relax under the large umbrella at the front of the house where you can enjoy an ocean view. For your entertainment there’s a Hisense Smart TV with Foxtel connected. There’s also a range of games, books and DVD’s.
The yard is fully fenced, where your pets can enjoy the flat lawn or explore the small natural bush area at the back of the house. Pets are allowed inside but we ask that they be kept off the lounge and beds. Stumer’s Creek is a popular local off leash beach where they can swim in either the still water or surf. The off leash area extends for 1km either side of the creek.
Billy’s is a peaceful destination for all to enjoy with access to all amenities.

This downstairs area has two large sets of bi-fold doors opening to a large fully fenced backyard. Guests have exclusive use of the yard.

Kylie our co host is there to help if needed she is very friendly and loves dogs and extremely courteous of our valued guests so will leave you to your privacy however happy to interact with you if you need her. Please do no enter her private area unless invited as she will have the same respect for your private space You will hear some movement and footsteps upstairs. this does not bother most of our guests but if noise sensitive be aware this. The yard is 3 sides 6ft timber fencing one small section across driveway entry is standard pool fencing.

Sit and enjoy all year round sea breezes that flow through the huge bi-fold doors and relax while you and the fur babies can easily walk in and out. This property has a true inside outside experience. The area we offer is fully installed with ceiling fans and the amazing sea breezes keep it a constant temperature Please note for this reason the property is NOT air conditioned, if you are heat sensitive please do not book in summer if you are use to a fully air conditioned home. We find it always cool but we want guests to be fully aware we cool with sea breeze insulation and ceiling fans - With doors closed you loose its daytime magic. we choose to have the bi folds fully open to let the magic in, this includes the sound of the ocean its breeze and much bird life. To use there is a magic to these doors open -

Coolum is a dog friendly town and we are not far from the lead free beach, Maps at end of photos to help you. We can not accommodate cats as there is simply no way of keeping them safe inside with the bifold doors as a main entry point that are not screened

This property does not cater for babies or children under the age of 5. (We have sadly had incidents with the big heavy metal bifold doors and little fingers. It’s too stressful for us and we have no child safety measures in cupboards or way of having the bifold folds safe from little fingers )
This private area is a great size for one or two couples that just want to relax in a quiet neighbourhood; or a single can enjoy all we have to offer. Reminder it’s two bedroom 2 queen beds.

We go above and beyond to ensure the comfort of our guests taking care of all the little things and respect guests privacy.

As much as fur babies are very welcome inside this property, it is clear in our house rules they cannot be left unattended to bark they bark when left or suffer anxiety We need to be considerate of our neighbours; when it comes to barking dogs. Please do not lock your dog inside as the sound is only made worse as it will echo.

KITCHENETTE – Equipped with Electric frypan , microwave, dishwasher all pots pans etc. Pod coffee machine, , blender, jug and toaster. we provide an oven and an Airfryer

PANTRY – You will find a range of Tea’s, coffee sugar, cereals. The Pantry also has basic everyday items such as salt, pepper cooking oil, cook spray, foils and plastic wrap. If you are staying for a few days please check pantry and kitchenette draws before you shop you are welcome to use what we provide and is there. We kindly ask guest to replace any of these sorts of items if they use the last of them. It's a courtesy to future guests.

FUR BABY Numbers and behaviour - YES FURRY family members are allowed inside the downstairs area, please read house rules for full details. We like to keep the bog maximum at 2 dogs per booking, if you have more than two fur family members, then please mention this to us in your booking request and it will be taken into consideration, not always the number of fur babies it is always the behaviour that is of concern. Coolum is a very dog friendly town you will find the outside of cafes and restaurants very welcoming of your fur family members and the dog lead free beaches are only 1km away. All details in welcome book. Your Fur baby is not to be left unattended if it barks when unattended; this would be a clear breach of the house rules.

Small Bluetooth speaker box to enjoy the music you bring with you as you relax. BOOKS AND BOARD GAMES also available for you to read or play. Ceiling fans in bedrooms and lounge areas enhance the sea breeze, as it comes through the large bi-folds. It is a rare day there is no sea breeze. The area is fully insulated so maintains a lovely constant temperature all year round.

Wi-Fi – Free NBN Wi-Fi password is waiting for you in the "Welcome book". STUDY DESK in study nook Free Wi-Fi (NBN) although we have installed the NBN, the best internet connection for our property, unfortunately the Sunshine Coast is known for unreliable internet and this is out of our control.

150m to the foreshore, so you can hear the ocean while sitting in the backyard. Less than 1.2km easy flat (walk, or drive) to beach access, 1.5km flat (walk, or drive) to start of Coolum Township. Bus stop is only 50m away. 1.2km to access rd leading to dog lead free beach. Maps at the end of photos show more details it hard to show you depends on where exactly you want to go in town.

For the avid water skier like my husband, OZ Ski Resort is a 7 min drive away for world class slalom/jump or trick ski coaching or if you just want to learn to ski or wake board.

Fur Baby House Rules
We allow your dog’s inside as we believe they are family members. We prefer dogs didn’t go on the furniture; however we do understand that some dogs are very used to lying on the couch. If they are accustomed to the finer things in life, we ask that you use the dog blankets and towels provided - However we really appreciate guest that bring their own dog towels and throws to protect our furniture as it saves us a lot of linen washing time. It also helps preserve our furniture and keeps it clean for future guests. This applies to the lounges only as dogs are strictly not permitted on the beds.
DOGS are not permitted on the beds. If your fur baby insists on sleeping with you, then we must know in advance on booking and you are welcome to bring your own linen including your own doona's, we will then strip out beds back to bare mattress protector status as our linen is not for fur baby guest use.

Full time tenants live above in main house are beautiful people who are very respectful of our guests. The flat is super cosy and gives you a hug as you walk in. Guest often comment on how comfy and welcome they feel from the second they walk in the door. Super cute with its own fully equipped kitchen and private entry.

It’s 1.5km to Coolum Beach Central, offers amazing sunsets, boardwalks along the coast line, local shops, trendy cafes, restaurants and takeaways all within a short distance. Coolum Beach is located just 10 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes to Noosa.

THE PANTRY has basic everyday items and plastic wrap, foil and zip lock bags etc if you are staying for a few days please check pantry before your shop you are welcome to use what we and previous guests have provided and is there. We ask guests if you do use the last of these sorts of items, you do replace that item as a courtesy to guest coming in after you. We this style of accomodation as a community and if you are staying a while and only need to replace one item it sure is a saving on what you may have used during your stay.

Only 150m to the foreshore, so you can hear the ocean from either of the two small courtyards, with less than a 1km flat (walk, ride or drive) to beach access. (There are two access points both about the same distance off David low way, we prefer the one at Stummers Creek entry at access 71), as it is close to town after beach walk. You turn right for that one, the other, if you turn left is a boardwalk and National park and lovely if you want a more secluded part of the beach.

Now with Air conditioning (Please switch off Air con when leaving flat for long periods of time) Ceiling fans aid the sea breeze in summer. Fully insulated under house, so the flat maintains a nice constant temperature all year round; cool in summer and warm in winter. Two entry doors opposite sides of the flat let the sea breeze through and flat is fully screened

For guests staying 2 weeks or more we do a complimentary clean of bathroom toilets and floors. as well as linen change
Tracey lives locally and is happy to do this, as she also does the exit cleans.
We supply start up essentials/consumables like tea coffee and toilet paper etc however the unit is self catering after they are gone for long term guests.

- "Everything I needed, perfect" - "This property descriptors don't do it justice in terms of convenience. I didn't want to have to hire a car during my week away. This property is a minute walk from the bus stops that can bring you to and from the airport in an easy roughly 25-minutes. I stopped off in Coolum enroute for supplies before continuing my journey to the unit. You can buy a travel card at the Cafe at the airport and top it up at the newsagent in Coolum. The bus routes take you up and down the coast with two options (the 620 or 622 routes) to get you to the must do Mt Coolum hike. Saturday I was able to bus it to the famous Eumundi markets up in the hinterland. Noosa and Maroochydore were other trips. When my legs couldn't carry me home after a day walking along the magnificent coast line, I just hopped on the bus along the route and straight back home. It was an easy walk to Coolum Town each day. Most days I'd walk to the beach access point about 1km from the unit that then gave me a spectacular stretch of beach to walk along towards Coolum town, rewarded with lifeguard zones to swim within or refreshments at the multitude of dining options. The alternative walk was the shared walking and bike trail. Hot days I would have a dip in the local pool that was along the way. The unit has all you need. Is comfortable and I wanted for nothing. One glitch with the TV but the owners were super receptive and I can't fault my time there. Will definitely plan a return trip. Thank you for a wonderful and much needed relaxing stay."

So grab a wine from your gift basket and have a seat on your exclusive Treehouse deck for some ship, bird and whale-watching.

Our guests tell us that they love the tranquility. Set far enough back from the beach and ocean (but close enough too), this is tree-top living with ocean views. The bird-life is abundant and the views always changing to respond to the moments of climate and nature.

With first-class appliances, and virtually everything we could think of that might reasonably be needed, the galley kitchen with full size fridge freezer is a gourmet chef's delight. With plenty of space, the extension dining table is big enough for a huge feast. And if you don’t feel like cooking there are restaurants nearby, some that deliver, or we offer exclusive catering upon request. Or fire up the BBQ on your deck, pool-side.

The KS bed invites lazy mornings, drinking in tree and ocean views, and coffee from the French Press. Or hit the twin head shower, luxuriate in the overhead rainshower and enjoy the multiple settings of the hand held - operating from separate taps for ultimate temperature controls.

If you love a good movie or to watch sport the large flatscreen HD TV and surround sound brings it all to life. We have an array of DVDs you can borrow, beyond those in the Treehouse. You can plug your own device in via HDMI for your own streaming services. Or listen to your tunes or pods via Bluetooth stereo connection.

The garden is a delight with ocean views and glimpses from everywhere including in the heated pool. Plenty of room for 'at-home' picnics if you simply cannot bear to head to the beach because this place is simply superb. You can hang out by the resort style pool and enjoy the space.

The main/master bedroom features a king bed (from Koala) for a relaxing nights’ sleep. The ensuite bathroom includes towels and amenities, while a large walk in robe provides plenty of storage. Windows and balcony doors allow the cooling sea breeze to flow through. Fall asleep to the soothing sounds of the ocean each night.

The second bedroom features a queen bed, with side tables and reading lights. A substantial built in wardrobe provides loads of storage. A large window with plantation shutters and an overhead ceiling fan provides great airflow. The main bathroom is adjacent and includes towels and amenities. Both bedrooms include 100% cotton, hotel-quality linens. Beach towels are provided.

A NOTE ABOUT THE SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS -

The main bedroom has a KING bed, which can’t be split. There is room for a cot for little ones. We don’t have one, but guests are welcome to bring their own. The second bedroom has a QUEEN bed, which can’t be split, and there is no room for a roll-away/spare mattress in this room. Additionally, the sofa in the living room is not suitable for sleeping (apart from the occasional afternoon snooze). We like to make potential guests aware of this to help them decide whether our place is right for them.

There is an internal laundry with washer and dryer. Free, unlimited NBN Wi-Fi, a sleek smart-TV with soundbar plus a Bose Bluetooth speaker provide entertainment options.

The private garden courtyard allows external access to the path leading to the shared pool and on to the various access tracks through the sand dunes to the beach. Secured, covered parking is available for one car. Untimed street parking is also an easy option if you prefer or have more than one car.

Generally a car is the best way to explore everything wonderful that the Sunshine Coast has to offer. However if you do need to use public transport there are regular buses that run from various locations along the David Low Way.

- "This is a spacious and comfortable 2 bedroom unit in a small and quiet block of units, which is only about 100 metres back from Coolum Beach. This is an older style of unit, but it is very clean and comfortable, and has all the "mod cons" for a pleasant stay. It is very good for working remotely, as the Wi-Fi connection is stable and reliable or you can get a wired connection from the modem. A plus is the 40" TCL smart tv, where you can easily access all your streaming services (including Kayo). The location (and view) is fantastic. Everything in Coolum is within walking distance, including Coles, Dan Murphy's and several gyms. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay and would highly recommend it. Dean and Lucy would like to invite you to our Tiny Home which is the ideal romantic getaway and equally suited to individuals seeking to relax at the beach and restore wellbeing in nature.
Situated just three streets away from Coolum’s Main beach, which is dog friendly and patrolled by lifesavers, ensures that you can safely dip in the ocean or revel in the surf. You will not need a vehicle to enjoy your stay here in the heart of central Coolum !

The space
Besides close proximity to the beach, the location is also an easy stroll to the shopping strip, supermarkets , service stations and vibrant cafes and restaurants within Coolum , and all just ten minutes from the airport.
The Tiny Home is located in the rear corner of our historical beach shack facing a coastal reserve. For those keen to sample genuine Tiny House living, why not satisfy your curiosity while having a fun break ? We create the opportunity for you to experience first-hand tiny house living .
To support sustainable living and the electrical specifications, please do not bring in ANY household appliances with the exception of phone and laptop as required . The cabin is fully self -contained with a standard toilet . Wi Fi and TV are provided and it is pet friendly for dogs under 15 kg and indoor cats accustomed to short stays.
As this is a suburban block, there may be occasional noise and we do our best to minimise our contribution , although our friendly indoor dog may bark excitedly when new guests arrive. We have marvellous neighbours and we encourage our guests to also be respectful of close proximity living.

Guest access
When looking at the property from the street, off street parking is available on the front left side and access is adjacent to this through the gate and down a small garden path , ensuring privacy. Guests self check in with the key box . Spotlights illuminate the path and porch area for evening access.

Other things to note
The front of the property is fenced and to take advantage of the wonderful access to nature, the back yard is unfenced. This means that depending on the type and nature of your dog, you may need a loose tether . Please also pack your dog’s favourite bedding. Dogs are not to be left alone on the property and the dog friendliness of Coolum makes it easy to take your pooch with you . Dog tidy bags are provided to keep the place a paradise for all, so please also clean up after your dog .The property is designed for a maximum of two people only and one small small pet unless pre approved . While we welcome all travellers, unapproved guests are not permitted and this venue is not for you if are looking to party, do commercial filming or hook up. As in any natural environment , there may be Australian bush wildlife to be mindful of while outdoors and the cabin is fully screened . Compact packing is recommended due to limited storage and hanging space. Mahalo.
