Bellbird Studio is a free standing cabin sheltered beneath a riparian forest canopy situated at the base of Kenilworth Bluff. The property is on the outskirts of Kenilworth in the Heart of the Mary Valley. This is a birdwatchers paradise only 40 mins from Noosa beaches and 20 mins from the famous Eumundi & Yandina Markets.

The studio was originally built by an artist and has been recently renovated to provide a unique "Glamping" experience. Imagine yourself wrapped in our fluffy bathrobes in front of the studio's internal wood heater or watching the stars come out around the outdoor fire.

There is a heated spa and alfresco "bush" shower located on the covered northern deck with private bush views. There is also a flushing septic toilet, indoor shower and vanity on the eastern deck.

The king ensemble with 100% cotton linen will ensure you a luxurious and deep sleep. The internal kitchenette combined with a gas BBQ with side burner on the deck will meet your holiday culinary needs. You have a choice of inside, deck or fireside dining and wining.

We have approximately 30 acres of paddocks & bush available for you and your off leash pets to explore including access to "The Bluff" for the more adventurous. It's been rumored that Greg Postle used to camp here seeking solitude and subjects for his famous paintings as a resident of Kenilworth. A short marked track commencing from the back of the studio takes you into some of the last remaining privately owned original rain forest in this area containing massive buttress fig trees.

You can tour the Blackall range visiting Mapleton, Flaxton, Monteville and Maleny's many craft shops, gallery's, winerys and restaurants. Then you could continue to the Australian Zoo (20mins from Maleny & 45mins from Kenilworth). Perhaps continue to the Glass House Mountains returning via Woodford and Conondale to Kenilworth.

Many of our guests have enjoyed visiting the small country towns, and their markets, ( Kandanga, Imbil, Dagun,Brooloo and Ammamoor ) of the Mary Valley on their way to Gympie (40mins) and Tin Can Bay (80mins). Ride The Mary Valley Rattler from Imbil to Gympie and back for a different view of the Mary Valley.

The Sunshine Coast is famous for it's markets and of course there is always the Coolum, Noosa, Maroochydoor & Mooloolaba beaches, rivers and lakes to spend the day at. Kenilworth is surrounded by the magnificent National Parks of Noosa, Mapleton and Conondale which provide many walks.

Your get away at the Bellbird Studio can be as relaxing or as active as you want it to be. The possibilities are endless and the choice is yours however there is no WIFI.

Pets are most welcome if organised with owner prior to stay. There is a $10 per night charge for pet stays. Pets may stay inside if supervised by their owners. The decks provide a safe and secure covered area when owners need to leave their pets behind. Please bring your own firewood if you would like a fire. Owners permission for fires required durings dry seasons because of fire bans.

Our minimum stay is usually 2 nights, 3 nights on long weekends and 4 nights over the Christmas/New Year holiday period. During school holiday periods we are unable to accept 1 day vacancies between stays, so please check dates when booking.

About the Space

“The Barn Escape” is the old dairy farm’s original rustic building. The interior has been carefully renovated leaving the exposed beams to create a unique & comfortable space for everyone to enjoy. There are two living spaces, one main bedroom with three beds (queen, king single and single), adjoining the bathroom and the larger space has the kitchenette, dining and air-conditioned lounge room.

Guest Access:

The Barn is on a shared property about 70 metres from the main residence which is permanently tenanted. We the hosts live about 80 metres from the Barn.

HOUSE RULES

• No children under 12 years of age due to electric fencing, creek and dams on the
property.
• No parties
• No Smoking
• There are no pets or dirt bikes allowed at this place as we have wildlife and farm
animals that reside here.
• You are welcome to walk around the property, but please do not enter any paddocks
containing horses or cows. Please do not feed the horses or cows.
• Owners of the property are often working doing maintenance but are very
conscious of your privacy.

Lallybroch is situated in the Mary Valley. Being in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, it offers short distances to the township of Kenilworth and walking tracks throughput surrounding state forests. Popular horse-riding trails are nearby.

Lallybroch is central to attractions such as Montville and the Sunshine Coast. The property has high eco-credentials, offering stunning valley views including the Mary River. Enjoy the company of quiet cattle and our rescue horse, as well as native wildlife.

The Outlook at Kenilworth is located on the edge of the main town, in walking distance from Elizabeth Street. The house is air-conditioned, well presented and sits at the top of a maintained, two acre block. Sweeping views of the Conondale ranges can be enjoyed from the large deck. You have the entire property to yourself with a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. There is one main bedroom with a queen bed and a sofa bed in the lounge room that can be made up on request.

The property is surrounded by greenery and paddocks with grazing cattle and fields of horses.

The space
The Betty Blue Inn provides guests with two bedrooms, a bathroom, an open living and dining room with space to relax and enjoy the country views on the front veranda. The kitchen offers guests everything needed for cooking including tea & coffee as well as oils, salt and pepper. The backyard also often has horses visit the fence line. You may also have use of a firepit. Please note you will need to bring your own firewood. This can be purchased in town at the petrol station.

Local Attractions & Things to Do:

KENILWORTH -The quaint country town of Kenilworth is only a 3 -minute drive away. It has a small-town feeling with plenty to do. Markets are on a Saturday morning and although tiny they are fun to explore. There are a few cute shops in town to browse. Also don’t forget to visit the Kenilworth Cheese Factory for a tasting. Try Kenilworth Country Bakery for its World-Famous donuts, also a great lunch at McGinn's Cafe. For a local pub feed try the Kenilworth Hotel and Brewery

Just past Kenilworth on your way out to Maleny is Booloomba Creek. If you have a 4WD it’s an absolute must see (although you can drive out, park and walk if you don’t have a 4WD. It’s a bit of a hike though) The most amazing turquoise waters you have ever seen. Take your swimmers for an icy dip or walk the tracks between pools. Booloomba creek camp areas 1 and 3 are the two spots with swimming holes.

Mary River is also great for swimming & canoeing. There are also local horse and bike riding tracks, many forest walks and don't forget to checkout
Deer Park.

IMBIL- Imbil is tiny, but there’s a lot to love about it. They have particularity nice homewares and vintage shops. Wild Vine Cafe for excellent coffee and food. There are also Sunday markets which are great for local produce.

EUMUNDI- A lovely little village about 30 minutes away. The Eumundi markets are pretty well known and are on every Wednesday and Saturday. You could spend an entire day there and never get bored. Make sure when you are there to pop into Berkelouw Books- it’s heaven. Eumundi Pub and Matso’s Sunshine Coast Brewery for a drink and food.

COOROY- Great little town! Trawl the op shops, pop into Fika for a great coffee and delicious food and make a visit to the Vintage Shed, it’s gorgeous.

POMONA- Pomona Distilling Company is synonymous with delicious gin. Book in for a long lunch and try their range of cocktails.

MALENY- Maleny is a hive of great shops, great food, live music and a lovely community. If you feel like a day of shopping, it’s the place to go.

MONTVILLE- Montville is a lovely mountain top village. Beautiful shops, lovely places to eat. While you’re up that way, check out Kondalilla Falls- It’s breathtaking.

NOOSA- Feel like some beachside fun? Put on your best pressed linen outfit and flock around Noosa Hastings Street. It’s filled with boutique shops and fancy restaurants. Do the coastal walk at Noosa Heads National Park. It’s glorious.

Or, simply cozy up in the house and watch the world go by!

River Oaks is joined to acres of dairy farming land and overlooks a horse stud across the river with direct access to the Mary River. We are located in a small riverfront laneway with just 3 properties, and yet just a 4 min drive to the village of Kenilworth.

River Oaks offers a lovingly restored country farm house with a spectacular veranda overlooking the Mary River and beyond, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a serious gourmet’s French provincial kitchen, and breath taking country views.

The space
River Oaks is just 4 minutes from the historic Kenilworth Village, 15 minutes to Eumundi Market, 25 minutes to Montville and 35 minutes to Noosaville. We are pet friendly and allow your pet to sleep in the house with you.... for a small pet fee ($10 per pet / per night) at the time of booking. The house has air conditioning to keep you cool in summer and warm in winter...

Guests have exclusive access to the home, house gardens, and the river flat between the house and river. The area immediately around the house is fenced for the safety of your children and pets.

Different rates apply to school holidays and long weekends. If you book in advance, please be aware of a price difference for these dates. Long weekends we require a 3 night stay.
We rent the whole house, and you do not share it with other guests. This is not a party house and we do not provide a venue for weddings, functions and parties. Pets are welcome in the house, though not allowed in beds or on any furniture. We ask that you remove all pet droppings and personal rubbish before you leave. The coffee machine is an 'Expressi Multi - Beverage Capsule Machine and it takes K-fee® – recommended Pods.

The Farmhouse can comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests. It has 3 bedrooms (queen beds in 1st & 2nd bedrooms and 2 single beds in 3rd bedroom)
The kitchen has all the essentials to cook your meals or you can also use the barbecue if you like.
There is a main bathroom inside the farmhouse and there is another one outside.
We live on the property about 60 meters away and there is the Barn, which is also guests accommodation.
