- "MERIBEL 12/25/24- We MOST HEARTILY RECOMMEND a stay at Résidence Pierre & Vacances Les Ravines, in the district of “Les Allues” but do not be confused, this is in the very heart of Meribel, not the village of Les Allues!!! You could not ask for a better location for your stay to ski and explore the 3 Vallees. Although the reception is not open all day, the hours are not really inconvenient, they are open in the morning and in the afternoon, best of all if you are arriving when the reception is closed, there is a baggage room with a coded lock, and you will be provided this code upon request, you can deposit your luggage then explore the village to obtain a ski pass or rent equipment. We mostly interacted with Gonzalo, who was conversant in several languages and always had a smile and warm greeting for us. There is the Casino- not for playing blackjack but for buying any type of coffee, lait, baguette, fromage or whatever you want (including a very reasonable bottle of Crozes-Hermitage) for your stay. 50m away is an excellent sport shop with everything you could want for your stay including ski rental. I really appreciated them for the expert ski boot adjustment that relieved very painful pressure. There is an access to the slopes located there (with escalator), so you need only walk about 75m. The room had a double "murphy" bed and 2 bunks, small kitchen and a tub in the bath. Great view to the West. Small kitchen with fridge, coffee pot uses cone filters. WE LOVED IT THERE!"

This spacious well-appointed apartment, with fabulous views across the valley from its large wrap-around balcony, TV, DVD, and free WiFi, is in the hidden gem of La Gittaz, which is a small quiet hamlet away from the bustle of Meribel Centre, but not far from bars, shops, and all amenities and with easy access to the slopes right in the middle of the Three Valleys, the largest skiing area in Europe.

It is a family owned apartment that we let for just a few weeks each year in the winter peak season and also for a few weeks in the summer. The apartment is in a charming old Savoyard chalet that has been beautifully converted to 6 apartments, all self-contained with their own front doors. It has stunning views across the valley from the large comfortable corner sofa in the sitting area through the large plate glass sliding patio doors. You can also sit on the large sunny balcony in the morning getting a tan, or sit at the table and 4 chairs and enjoy your lunch looking at the view, or have a glass of wine in the evening watching the sun go down. The wide balcony wraps around the apartment, getting the sun first thing in the morning and all day long.
The apartment has been refurbished to a very high standard, with quality fittings, including washing machine, split-level oven and hob, dishwasher and 2 bathrooms, one en-suite. One bathroom has a shower over a full-sized bath, the en-suite bathroom has a walk-in shower and a WC. Both bathrooms have good sized washbasins with large well-lit mirrors over them and plenty of storage space. There is a WC in the en-suite bathroom, and another separate WC.
There are two bedrooms, each with two single beds, which can be connected together to form doubles. There is ample storage space with full-size sliding door wardrobes in both bedrooms and large cupboards in the dining area.
There is free fibre broadband WiFi throughout the apartment. There is a smart TV to make Netflix, Disney+ and Amazon Prime available. You can connect your own computer, Xbox, or AV equipment to the TV via the provided HDMI cable . There is a portable Bluetooth speaker to play your own music through.
The chalet has a secure ski locker room with a separate lockable ski locker for our apartment. The apartment has one private allocated parking space, with plenty more free parking nearby.
There is a beautiful 17 century chapel a few yards away.

Méribel center is the heart of the Méribel resort, you will find most bars and restaurants there as well as many shops: supermarkets, souvenir shops, bakers, butchers, pharmacies, etc.
Quick access to the slopes by the tourist office escalator or on the Chaudanne plateau which is the main ski departure with direct access to Courchevel or Les Menuires.

It is a very quiet area. You can reach the center on foot (8min) and return by free shuttle (stop 500m away). The shops of Méribel 1600 are accessible by foot in 5min.

Everything was ready upon arrival. It is quite a hill into town which is a reasonable walk home but again not a problem. Only sight negatives we had were only 1 toilet roll provided for the week and no dishwasher tablets. I guess this is common as the spar stocks small quantities. We would definitely stay again."

He is the main reason for us returning - hopefully next year." - "We’ve stayed in Meribel many times before but this apartment is on another level compared to the apartments we’ve previously found. It’s modern, spacious and finished to a high standard. The balcony view down the valley is stunning. We drove from the UK in a Tesla so the included parking space and EV charging was a big incentive. Although there is public parking available below the apartment, there is a separate barrier controlled area where we were directed to on arrival. It has three Type 2 22kwh EV chargers which were free to use and were empty for most of the time. They could do with some instructions but I just tapped my phone and the charge started. Thibault was an amazing host and made our arrival very easy. He stayed in contact and was there to show us into the parking and apartment when we arrived. We couldn’t fault the presentation of the apartment as it was perfectly clean and well equipped. The apartment has a large ski locker with plenty of boot heaters which made getting ready for skiing very easy. The only minor criticism we could think of was that although there was a pod coffee machine, there was no cafetiere and the kitchen could do with some more cooking utensils. Other than that the apartment is very well equipped. The washing machine certainly came in very handy. I would definitely want to stay in this apartment again when we return to Meribel. No question.
