The property was a sauna even causing me to borrow a second fan from a friend that lives here. Cobwebs all over the room, somewhat dirty/dusty room. Property managers or whoever kept bothering me multiple times to see the room because of the shower even 40 minutes before checkout and the first time they were even kind of rude about it when calling me. No one really speaks English and except the lady who called me complaining about my door being locked… "

No more children at home, we have now plenty of space! One small room with a double bed, and its shower, in the house ( linen ready). Our house with the view to the lake and the Alps is in a very quiet place; close to EPFL ( 7 mn drive or a bus at 3mn walk from us), 10 mn train to Lausanne, 12 mn walk to the lake side and its beaches. The center of Morges is 8mins walk across a graceful park which hosts la fete de la tulipe each year. The A9 motorway is 3 mins by car, allowing fast access to Lausanne and the towns along the lake towards Geneva. Morges has a convivial mediterranean atmosphere with its small streets, many restaurants, markets and ancient chateau. Morges station (10 mins walk) is on the fast CFF line to Geneva (25 mins) and Lausanne (10 mins).

The Morges train station is just a pleasant 12 minute walk away. From there, reaching Lausanne (in about 10-15 min train-ride) or Geneva (40 min train-ride). it is simple and quick, perfect for exploring the region with ease.
In addition, just a few meters from the apartment, you’ll find bus number 701, which takes you to Morges' main train station or directly to EPFL, innovation park or UNIL.

Redesigned and remodeled following the principles of hygge, facing South-East, this 20-sqm/m2 studio is very bright thanks to the large opening over the lake. We kept everything simple, cleant cut and neat with quality material, mixing stone, wood, brushed metal and playing with warm colors over white. It includes:
- a dining/studying area (table with adjustable height)
- a kitchen area with hybrid oven, induction stove, fridge, stainless ink sink. All brand new. Comes with basic set of pots, pans, dishes and cutlery etc. Nespresso coffee maker and tea kettle provided.
- a true bed with slatted frame and comfortable mattress, with reading LED lights and charging alcoves for your iThings.
Double-glazed window on the street side, so that only the birds and the sound of the waves (on the lake side) may be your only concern acoustically.
Good-bandwidth and solid WiFi (recently upgraded) to ensure WFH or Netflix binge watching.
Built in the XIXth century this building was originally a school for girls. Old wooden floors, moldings on ceilings, wooden built-in storage, fireplaces, this house has soul and the undeniable charm of old Europe. We have just upgraded it, with a touch of fresh paint and some new equipment. This is our family house and we feel very fortunate for it. We decided to share the daily joy we feel to be living there. Four generations have been raised here. This house has seen some of us training for the 1957 Swiss National Waterski Championship, some others kayaking from the private pier in front, or gardening the flowers and the gingko standing in front. We truly love this house and hope you will enjoy it as much as we do. Hopefully every morning you will look at the Alps rising from the water, smile at the morning sun in front of you and feel the same way.

- The small private PIER in front of the house is also for your use. Picture a romantic picnic litterally on the water at sunset or simply an after-work relaxing glass of Chardonnay, surrounded by the local royal swans.
- In summer, you can even borrow our STAND-UP PADDLE or KAYAK for a tour on the water.
NEW: we also have a PADDLE BOAT for a “apero-pedalo” in the Bay! Catch the last rays of sun on the Jura mountains chilling with a glass of wine on the water
- Parking spots nearby, and walkable distance to train station.
- The garden is unfortunately not part of the rental, but the promise of the whole lake promenade and pier will make up for that.
- Cat/puppy warning: one of our 2 cats likes to hang out close to the studio’s lakeside window. He may try to engage and seduce you into petting. In summer, when open windows is preferable for cooling, being a cat lover is therefore an advantage. Otherwise we always make sure the cats do NOT enter the rental premises.
NEW: Also, on the dog front, our young Samoyed named Alaska is well trained and we make sure she does not bark uselessly. You may hear her in the garden a couple of times when playing. Because she reaches level 1 million in cuteness, she also has her own Insta account.
- The house has a common entrance and staircase, and from there each apartment (including our own) is independent and acoustically isolated. We may never meet in real life, but usually we make sure to meet and greet you in person. This is important to us, because this is not only a rental, but a way for us to welcome outsiders to our beautiful little Western Switzerland we love so much and meet/befriend people from all over horizons.
