Lifts to ski lockers to ski lift is about 200 meters brilliant. Only negative comments were the apartments was hot hot with needed to keep opening window to keep cool (But better this way than cold) and the kitchen only have a microwave/grill and 2 hobs but this did not stop us cooking curries / pasta etc.....though if you are looking for an oven then the Microwave/grill is limited."

The new MGM residence (Les Balcons Etoilés) with high-end finishes is located at the top of the Champagny-en-Vanoise station, at the foot of the cable car connecting the station to the Paradiski ski area (La Plagne and Les Arcs). The town center and shops are reachable on foot in 5 minutes by the lift from the free car park.
The residence includes 47 apartments on 10 floors connected by 2 elevators. Our apartment is on the ninth floor and offers an unobstructed view of the Champagny valley, the Courchevel resort, the bottom of the slopes and the surrounding peaks such as the Pointe de Méribel.
The 37 square meter apartment comfortably accommodates 4 people. It consists of 2 rooms: a main room (the kitchen-dining room and the living room), a spacious bedroom and a shower room-WC.
The pine kitchen is very well equipped: ceramic hob, combined microwave oven, fridge with freezer, dishwasher, Le Creuset fondue, raclette machine, percolator, Nespresso coffee machine, complete cookware and quality dishes, furnished with a rectangular table in solid oak, modern style, more than enough for 4 people.

The living room is illuminated by a large picture window and includes a very comfortable Rapido type sofa (ultra-simple mechanism) with a bed of 160 cm. A duvet holder is located behind the sofa which allows the sofa to be folded up quickly and daily. The flat screen TV (108 cm) is connected to WIFI and a Blu-ray player. You can listen to your music through a BOSE Bluetooth speaker.

The spacious and bright bedroom offers two 90 cm by 200 cm beds that can be juxtaposed to offer a 180 cm by 200 cm bed. Particular attention was paid to the quality of the bedding. The bed bridge is made up of a wardrobe on one side and several shelves on the other. For more storage space, there is a large chest of 5 drawers. On the wall there is a flat screen TV.

The Italian type shower is spacious (90 cm by 90 cm). The shower room is equipped with a washer-dryer, a vanity unit, a towel radiator and a hair dryer.

The Spar shop is just round the corner from the centre of the village and the bakery a 3 minute walk up a hill in the morning. In the authentic and charming Savoyard village of Champagny-en-Vanoise, on the domain of Paradiski (La Plagne, Les Arcs ...), Le Yeti is a new apartment ideally located at the foot of the gondola and the meeting point ESF ( 50 meters). Though in culinary terms this is more than made up by the good selection of lunch places on the slopes. ESF Skii school is also 5 mns walk and it helped us get private classes for our child. The reception helped us with cab details as we arrived post check in hours with no shuttle service. Stunning views from every window. Warm apartment with easily controlled radiators. Washing machine with good drying area. Only slight issue was only one toilet. Parking was a bit of a walk away but you can drop off at the main doors. 2 lifts up to the 13th floor, always working. Snow chains and winter tyres a must to get up the 20 hair pin bends but all worth it for the slopes and this apartment. Great eating out and cafes and bars. Squaw Valley 4 is located at 'snow sure' altitude at the top of Plagne Villages (2100 metres) above the ski lifts (you ski down to the lifts). Our ground floor apartment has a terrace and bench a few paces from the slopes and you can ski back to the door. Mainly North facing slopes guarantee superb skiing from December to the end of April. A well equipped apartment providing all the facilities for an excellent skiing holiday. The building was reroofed and reclad in 2021, and our apartment has new double glazed windows and external door. The apartment has a living area which sleeps 2 people on the bed settee at night, and a bunk bed for upto 3 people. It also has a separate galley kitchen, bathroom and toilet and a dining space for up to 5 people.

La Plagne boasts France's largest single ski resort and now with the link to Les Arcs probably the largest interlinked ski area in the world. In the last five years we have developed a good working knowledge of La Plagne and over half of our bookings are from previous guests. The apartment is comfortable and well equipped (including for example, a DVD library, games and a sledge). La Plagne is well suited to self catering holidays with numerous supermarkets and shops. The skiing varies from wide and easy boulevards to testing glacier and off piste skiing. Travel: Easily accessible by car being about 620 miles from Calais: about 9 hours driving time. There is free open parking near the apartments. Caretaker: We have a local English caretaker who will resolve any problems with our apartment. They will be your point of contact if something goes wrong. - "Five of us stayed in the apartment for a skiing break. Andre the host was excellent with his communications providing lots of useful information before our trip. During our stay Andre checked how we were getting on and has been very attentive throughout. The apartment was ideal for us, for cooking, relaxing and visiting the town centre. All the beds and sofa bed was very comfortable. We used the swimming pool and sauna which was a real added benefit of staying at the apartment complex. The main TV screen in the apartment is small (too small for the space) and of average quality. Had hoped to spent a few evenings streaming a movie/series as the kids were tired, but the screen took away our enthusiasm. Parking was alright, but you might have to wait for a spot to free up in front on of the building to keep your car close by. Also there is only a tiny supermarket in this part of the town, and a few shops like a butcher and baker - got got tired of walking there daily, but didn't want to lose our parking spot to go to a proper shop down the mountain. The three / four restaurants in this part of town were fully booked most evenings, so get your reservations in, in time during a busy week."

We are a couple, and the apartment we rented was our daughter's for 2 years.
It is therefore equipped to live there year-round, and has nothing to do with a studio that can be found in the resort.
The house is a family house dating back over a hundred years, it has a whole history and deep roots in this corner of Tarentaise!

We are fans of hiking, walking, snowshoeing, skiing, and know the region well to live and work there for a very long time.

We live in the house, so we will be available when needed, but you won't see us if you don't want to.

NEW: we have a partnership with skiset, the store located at the start of the La Roche chairlift: preferential rates on the rental of equipment with the possibility of leaving it at the end of the day and picking it up in the morning at the store (shuttle stop, departure from tracks). You only move in boots, and nothing to wear :)

The apartment is made for 4 people (4 single beds, 2 sofa beds and 2 bunk beds). SHEETS & TOWELS ARE NOT PROVIDED, it is nevertheless possible to rent them if you cannot bring them. You have access to all the appliances (dishwasher, oven, dishwasher, TV, games, books...) and basic necessities (coffee, tea, salt, shower gel...)

Our apartment is located in the Ventoux residence with direct access to the galeries for shopping, restaurants, the cinema or the bowling alley.

You also have direct access to the Plagne Center snow front, which allows you to connect all the resorts of La Plagne as well as the connection with Les Arcs by 1 or 2 ski lifts!
The departure of the ski schools is 50 meters from the apartment.

SKI In and Ski Out with the Boulevard slope across the street.
The ski locker is located next to the apartment and the entrance to the residence.


SLEEPING:
The apartment is quietly located (the only neighbor is above) with a magnificent view of Mont Blanc.

It is ideal for families with a real bedroom separated from the living room by the bathroom and the toilet, which will allow you to spend good evenings while the children are resting.
The bedroom is made up of 2 bunk beds and a retractable bed with a real mattress which allows to release a playground.
Large cupboards are present to store all your belongings.

The living room accommodates a folding double bed.


EQUIPMENT:
The kitchen is new and has a large fridge with freezer, a dishwasher, induction hobs.
A Senseo coffee machine is available as well as a kettle and toaster.
A raclette machine is at your disposal.
A washing machine is present in the toilets.
A 32 "television is installed in the living room.
The apartment has a high-speed (fiber) Wi-Fi connection.


HOME / HOUSEHOLD / SHEETS:
The reception is made by a concierge on site from 5 p.m. with the possibility of late arrival by key box.
End-of-stay cleaning is included, you are asked to tidy up the kitchen area.
Sheets and towels are optional (15 € / person).
Departure must be before 10 a.m.


PARKING:
It is possible to park in front of the apartment to unload. Covered paid parking is 20 meters from the apartment and open-air parking is just outside.

Winter: Champagny is a beautiful and authentic mountain village with a character that manages to combine traditional Savoie life with lively après ski. It remains friendly and relatively non-commercialised and yet is still part of the huge interlinked ski area that includes Champagny, La Plagne & Les Arcs - over 420km of pistes of the Paradiski. Guests report they enjoy it as a base as it links directly to some of the sunniest slopes at la Plagne.
Summer: Vanoise Park - fabulous walking including Vanoise glaciers, challenging mountain biking, paragliding and climbing.
Apartment overlooks village centre. Great selection of restaurants and shops and perfect for families and couples. Lovely open air swimming pool complex with mountain views with a retractable ceiling for use even in bad weather.

Other things to note
We are able to offer bedlinen and towels for hire during winter season ONLY, but these are at additional charge and ARE NOT included in the standard booking price. This is simply because most of our guests prefer to bring their own. Bedlinen is available in winter for hire if ordered in advance, at 30 € for double set and 20 € for single set. (Sets include bedding for a double bed with towels for 2 or bedding for a single bed plus towels for one) If you do want to hire bedding then just let me know in advance and I will add on the additional charge and ensure they are ready for you.
PLEASE NOTE that Champagny is a village in which people live all year so does not close down and become completely dead as some resorts do. You will not feel as though you have landed in a ghost town and the walking and cycling are superb. However, as with most mountain resorts the gondola and some of the shops in the village close from 1/9 to 22/12. A car is advised in autumn to be able to access the lovely walking and fabulous autumn colours. You pass a great supermarket on the way up to the village (just 10 minutes drive) and so you can stock up on the way to the apartment.
