You can reach Mürren from Lauterbrunnen or from Stechelberg by cable car.

Located amidst some of the world's most spectacular scenery, Mürren is a charming little village that has managed to escape over-development despite being famous in the history of winter sports since the very start of downhill skiing. Located at one end of the legendary Jungfrau region, on the same lift pass as Wengen and Grindelwald although not linked to them by ski piste (you can however get across by a wonderful, century-old mountain railway).
Among its many claims to fame, early mention must be made of the revolving restaurant perched on top of the Schilthorn mountain, also known as `Piz Gloria` (2970m / 9750ft) with incredible views all around. The panorama from here includes Mont Blanc on the French - Italian border, the German Black Forest as well as the local peaks of the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau. Mürren is a car-free village, like Wengen, any drivers must park their cars in one of the large valley car parks below and take the cable cars up to the resort.

Chalet Soldanella is situated in the centre of Mürren in a quiet location. The 3-room flat on the top floor of an older three-family chalet has a cosy interior with a unique view. The domicile is ideal for summer and winter holidays.

About 0.8 of a mile from the Schilthorn cable car. 3 floors up without an elevator so that may be an issue for some. Three bedrooms, but would be a little tight for 3 couples; it was perfect for the two couples on our trip though, and would be great for families. Only complaint/issue I have is that to exit the building you need a key to open the door. This is very dangerous and is a big safety issue that should be fixed, not just for this apartment but for all the tenants."

The spacious studio for 2 persons with private entrance is located in the basement of the 4-family house. The large window in the sleeping area offers a view of the mountain panorama. The studio is equipped with a fitted kitchen, dining table with corner bench for at least 4 people and a bathroom with shower, WC and bathtub. The sleeping area is separated from the living area by a curtain. An espresso coffee machine and a kettle are available for a relaxed breakfast. We are happy to provide a fondue or raclette set on request. For entertainment there is a TV and super-fast Wifi free of charge. Enjoy the breathtaking view from the private terrace in front of the studio or on the communal terrace in front of the house. Clean and well-groomed pets are welcome with prior notice. All flats in Chalet Böbs are non-smoking.

Arrival information :
Mürren is a car-free health resort above Lauterbrunnen and can be reached by cable car and train via Lauterbrunnen or by the Schilthorn cable car from Stechelberg. There is a large multi-storey car park in Lauterbrunnen and a large car park at the Schilthorn cable car station in Stechelberg. The flat is located in the lower part of the village, about 15 minutes walk from the Schilthorn cable car station or the railway station. From 8.00 to 17.00 it is possible to order a taxi service.

Directions :
From the station, walk along Dorfstrasse to the centre of the village. At the Stägerstübli restaurant, take the road that goes down towards Gimmelwald. After 5 to 7 minutes, almost at the exit of the village, turn right up the last street. After 30 metres turn left. The flats are numbered 1 to 4.
