Perched on a high, sunny terrace facing the famous Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, the village is the highest altitude ski resort in the Bernese Oberland. It nestles at the foot of the Schilthorn with its revolving Piz Gloria Restaurant, made world-famous by a James Bond film.

In summer, Mürren is the perfect place from which to start a host of hikes, from simple to strenuous.

You can reach Mürren from Lauterbrunnen or from Stechelberg by cable car.

Located amidst some of the world's most spectacular scenery, Mürren is a charming little village that has managed to escape over-development despite being famous in the history of winter sports since the very start of downhill skiing. Located at one end of the legendary Jungfrau region, on the same lift pass as Wengen and Grindelwald although not linked to them by ski piste (you can however get across by a wonderful, century-old mountain railway).
Among its many claims to fame, early mention must be made of the revolving restaurant perched on top of the Schilthorn mountain, also known as `Piz Gloria` (2970m / 9750ft) with incredible views all around. The panorama from here includes Mont Blanc on the French - Italian border, the German Black Forest as well as the local peaks of the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau. Mürren is a car-free village, like Wengen, any drivers must park their cars in one of the large valley car parks below and take the cable cars up to the resort.

Chalet Soldanella is situated in the centre of Mürren in a quiet location. The 3-room flat on the top floor of an older three-family chalet has a cosy interior with a unique view. The domicile is ideal for summer and winter holidays.

Mürren is a car-free health resort above Lauterbrunnen and can be reached by cable car and train via Lauterbrunnen or by the Schilthorn cable car from Stechelberg. Arrival information :
Mürren is a car-free health resort above Lauterbrunnen and can be reached by cable car and train via Lauterbrunnen or by the Schilthorn cable car from Stechelberg. There is a large multi-storey car park in Lauterbrunnen and a large car park at the Schilthorn cable car station in Stechelberg. The flat is located in the lower part of the village, about 15 minutes walk from the Schilthorn cable car station or the railway station. From 8.00 to 17.00 it is possible to order a taxi service.

Directions :
From the station, walk along Dorfstrasse to the centre of the village. At the Stägerstübli restaurant, take the road that goes down towards Gimmelwald. After 5 to 7 minutes, almost at the exit of the village, turn right up the last street. After 30 metres turn left. The flats are numbered 1 to 4.

The use of the house washing machine is only possible after consultation with the landlord.

The apartment is an optimal starting point for hiking (summer) and ski days (winter). In winter you can go with the skis directly to the house.

House is in the center of Mürren. Mürren is "car-free" and so there is almost only pedestrian traffic in front of the door. Mürren is a very quiet village in the alpine Bernese countryside. It invites you to recover and enjoy. The sports center offers a wide range of sports (swimming, football, gym, ...) and a wellness oasis. Nature is breathtaking Mürren is the sun terrace in the Bernese Oberland.

The house was built at the beginning of the 19th century. From the outside it still has the old style. The apartment was renovated about the 80s. The furnishings and furnishings are authentic.

Our guests have access to the apartment and can also sit comfortably in the forecourt in front of the house with a picnic. There is a garden bench which can be used. By arrangement, the garden, or space, can also be used behind the house.

Interlaken is about 20 km (by car) from Stechelberg. From Mürren, you can reach the Birg and the Schilthorn by cable car.

The apartment is an optimal starting point for hiking (summer) and ski days (winter). In winter you can go with the skis directly to the house.

House is in the center of Mürren. Mürren is "car-free" and so there is almost only pedestrian traffic in front of the door. Mürren is a very quiet village in the alpine Bernese countryside. It invites you to recover and enjoy. The sports center offers a wide range of sports (swimming, football, gym, ...) and a wellness oasis. Nature is breathtaking Mürren is the sun terrace in the Bernese Oberland.

The house was built at the beginning of the 19th century. From the outside it still has the old style. The apartment was renovated about the 80s. The furnishings and furnishings are authentic.

Guest access
Our guests have access to the apartment and can also sit comfortably in the forecourt in front of the house with a picnic. There is a garden bench which can be used. By arrangement, the garden, or space, can also be used behind the house.

Other things to note
Tourist tax, approximately CHF 4.60 per person per day (children: approximately CHF 2.30), is not included in the rental price, but must be paid personally by each guest for the stay. With the stay in Mürren and paying the tourist tax, guests will receive a guest card and thus free access to the swimming pool and some other discounts in the village. Mürren is beautiful and quiet. One reason for this is that it is only accessible by two cable cars. The car is parked in the Lauterbrunnental. Luggage and all tourists/locals come up to the village with two large cable cars.

Mürren has a population of about 400 people. In addition to farmers, restaurants, hotels, and sports shops, there are a few bars, discos, and unique souvenirs, and fashion shops.

Interlaken is about 20 km (by car) from Mürren. From Mürren, you can reach the Birg and the Schilthorn by cable car.

My cozy and quiet 3-room apartment is located in the center of Mürren on the 2nd floor of an apartment building. Mürren is car-free for private individuals and the arrival is exclusively via the cable car of Lauterbrunnen or Stechelberg. The village can be explored on foot. Restaurants, shopping, cable cars and hiking trails are a short walk away. The apartment is perfect for 2-4 persons. The quiet patio with afternoon sunshine invites you to linger.

The space
The apartment has two bedrooms, a spacious living room and an uncovered terrace with afternoon sun. For the use of the patio, there is a garden table and garden chairs, as well as a cozy wooden bench to linger. The kitchen and bathroom with large shower were newly renovated a few years ago and have all the important amenities (four hotplates, Nespresso machine, various kitchen appliances such as blender and tea kettle, dishwasher).

A stairway leads up to the Upper Floor of the chalet with open beamed wood ceilings and 2 single beds. The loft is a cozy independent area for children.

Our property manager will welcome you and bring you the kurtaxe form to fill out, entitling you to discounts in some village shops and free use of the indoor swimming pool at the Sports Center in addition to free ice skating in the winter. We will pay the kurtaxe for you!

An modern apartment, built in 2007 in traditional style to a very high standard, it has two double bedrooms and one bunk room (bunk bed & single), two bathrooms and a large open-plan kitchen/living/dining room with a huge leather sofa; cowhide stools and dining table (seats 8).

Excellently located, it is genuinely ski-in/ski-out during the winter and next to the ski school. Picture windows open onto large wrap-around balcony with panoramic views of the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau.

Please note that, unfortunately, guests are not able to use the laundry room in the building. There is a laundromat next to the Hotel Bellevue, approximately 180 metres from the chalet.
