It’s part of the hotel, but it’s a private condo within the hotel building. You can still use the sauna and swimming pool that are part of the hotel, but anything else is an additional charge (I.e. breakfast). Also, it’s a couple thousand feet up the side of the mountain from Interlaken. You can use the bus for free, take a fenicular up/down then take a bus, or drive to Interlaken. We would drive down, park our car in town, then take our bikes all around to Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen."

- "Sometimes the pictures on the site aren't accuate. These pics don't begin to describe the views! You can see mountains for miles and miles! The 30 min bus ride to the house can seem daunting at the end of a long day, but the bus is easy to figure out and the bus stop is just a 3-5 min walk to the house. The area is very peaceful and quiet. We can hear goats and their bells! The beds are a very firm mattress, which I loved. The kitchen was tiny but we didn't cook, we brought premade food from the grocery store. I would absolutely come back to this house."

- "The booking process and communication was easy. Jean is an amazing host. She showed us the property, explained everything throughly, gave advice about the area. The view is unbelievable, you can see top mountains of the region from your window. Beatenberg is a small charming village with local grocery store, bakery and several restaurants. The chalet is well equipped with everything you might need, modern fully stocked kitchen with dishwasher, toaster, oven, microwave, coffee machine, fridge and freezer. The neighborhood is very quiet and has alpacas nearby who my kids enjoyed visiting. There is a mountain road with a lot of turns leading from Interlaken to Beatenberg. You can use the local bus for free with the guest card. It takes around 20 minutes to Interlaken and the bus stop is 5-10 minutes up the hill from the chalet."
