Modern furnished house overlooking Lake Thun near Interlaken / Jungfrauregion / Bernese Oberland. 5 kilometers from Interlaken. The bus station (public transport) is located 2 minutes (100 meters) from the house. The boat station and the shore of Lake Thun can be reached on foot in 5 minutes. The buses run only during the day until about 19 clock. If you want to go to Interlaken in the evening you either need your own car or you can take a taxi for about 20 Swiss francs.

In our house there are three bedrooms with either a double bed or two single beds (maximum number of guests: 6 people). On request, an additional cot / crib is available.

Our guests have the house to themselves. Next door is a permanently rented studio, which is usually used only over the weekend (Friday to Sunday).

- "Ideal apartment to visit the region for a family. Very comfortable place. Fantastic views." - "This place was a perfect base for us for a weekend cycling vacation. Assigned parking spot in the garage was nice, and secure for our our bicycles. The apartment was very nice, good view, well equipped for our needs. It’s part of the hotel, but it’s a private condo within the hotel building. You can still use the sauna and swimming pool that are part of the hotel, but anything else is an additional charge (I.e. breakfast). Also, it’s a couple thousand feet up the side of the mountain from Interlaken. You can use the bus for free, take a fenicular up/down then take a bus, or drive to Interlaken. We would drive down, park our car in town, then take our bikes all around to Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen."

The 30 min bus ride to the house can seem daunting at the end of a long day, but the bus is easy to figure out and the bus stop is just a 3-5 min walk to the house. The area is very peaceful and quiet. We can hear goats and their bells! The beds are a very firm mattress, which I loved. The kitchen was tiny but we didn't cook, we brought premade food from the grocery store. I would absolutely come back to this house."

The view is unbelievable, you can see top mountains of the region from your window. Beatenberg is a small charming village with local grocery store, bakery and several restaurants. The neighborhood is very quiet and has alpacas nearby who my kids enjoyed visiting. There is a mountain road with a lot of turns leading from Interlaken to Beatenberg.
