Our fully equipped villa is located around 35 minutes from both Pescara airport and the sea. It has 6 bedrooms with aircon and sleeps 12. We also have sofa beds and camp beds in addition.

The villa boasts 3 generous living areas, large bedrooms, 2 fully equipped kitchens, as well as 4 bathrooms, around 30 olive trees, off road parking and spectacular views, as well as the private pool to cool off in during the summer heat. The garden also has pomegranate trees, fig trees and apple trees.

The south facing heated pool (extra charge, heating available May to September) is 12m by 5m and gently shelves down from the shallow end, which is great for kids and infants. There is all the poolside equipment you might want – chairs, tables, sun loungers, umbrellas and a pool room with space to change and hang up your clothes as well as a very large walk in shower, toilet and hand basin.

All 3 lounges have ample seating, plus in addition there are 2 TVs. There is also a DVD player plus a radio/CD player and lots of books.

There are two dining tables, the smaller on the middle floor seats 8 comfortably, and downstairs the kitchen table extends to 3m and seats 10. Outside, you can seat 16 at two outside tables under a shady pergola..

The kitchens are fully equipped with gas hob, oven, fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, expresso maker, toaster, etc. and plenty of other items, so you should need for nothing.

There are many minimarkets in the various villages en route, or there is a large supermarket with just about everything you could want on the outskirts of Penne, just over 10 minutes away. A bakery selling fresh bread is just a few minutes away.

Five of the six air conditioned bedrooms are 'matrimoniale' size beds - in English sizes that is larger than a king, but smaller than a super king. One bedroom has two single beds. Each bedroom has shutters and a wardrobe, bedside tables and lights and most have chest of drawers, chairs, mirrors and an ottoman.

One of the bathrooms has a bath with shower, whilst the other two have large showers. The pool changing area and shower room has both a toilet and massive walk in shower.

Other features of the villa include wireless internet, a colour printer, a digital safe, security camera (recording) on the front door and drive, hairdryers in each bedroom, and an iron with ironing board.

Abruzzo is not spoiled at all, being a secret little gem known by the Italians, but lesser known by other nationalities. Abruzzo is known as "the greenest region in Europe" as almost half of its territory, the largest in Europe, is set aside as national parks and protected nature reserves. There are three national parks, one regional park, and 38 protected nature reserves. Abruzzo is also home to Calderone, Europe's southernmost glacier. Civitella Casanova is accredited with being the origin of Arrosticini, lamb skewers.

Look to the east, and you can see the shoreline towns around Pescara - from the balconies upstairs you can see the sea, as well as lots of hilltop villages. Look to the west, and the Apennine mountains rise up majestically, covered in snow in the winter. Our villa is at 500m/1,500 feet above sea level, so enjoys some refreshing breezes to take the edge off the stifling summer heat and humidity.

Flights are easy from Stansted to Abruzzo International Airport, which is around 35 minutes away by car. Alternatively it is just as easy to fly into Rome, as most of the drive from Rome Ciampino Airport is by dual carriageway or motorway, snaking through the mountains. Rome can even be a day trip.

There are plenty of recommended local restaurants very near by, as well as historic hilltop towns to explore to help make your stay truly magical.

The villa has full central heating, so it is available to rent all year round.

There is a comprehensive folder of information on the property which is stored in the property but will also be sent to guests, together with detailed directions how to find the property, before you arrive. In addition, we have a local neighbour who is more than happy to help with anything you may need.

- "A spacious and charming villa in a beautiful location, a great place for large families. The villa was clean, tidy and welcoming it had everything we could need. Peter & Robbie the hosts have thought of everything, the spare sun cream, mosquito repellent and shampoo in the bathrooms and kitchen necessities like oil and salt for cooking. The bedrooms were large bright with comfy beds and very well decorated, they even have phone charger cables and converters you can borrow. It had large open lounge areas for relaxation alfresco and also indoors, were you can enjoy family time with board games. The pool was super not too deep for the children and enough sunbeds and chairs for all, the BBQ area was fantastic too. It had a super view of the fields and mountains, lovely to watch the sunrise and sunset each day. Ample parking for cars at the property. Peter & Robbie were fantastic hosts always on hand to answer questions and help in any way possible. Dina the neighbour was delightful, super friendly and very knowledgeable with many restaurant and beach recommendations. - "I stayed here for 4 days. Marco was wonderful to communicate with. The location of the B&B is close to the historic centre and about a 25 minute walk to the beach or to the main shopping area of pescara. You can rent a "Palma" or umbrella from Marco directly to use while at the beach. Bring your own towel from home. The location of the beach area however is a good 30-35 minute walk. I personally enjoy walking and am familiar with the area (I spent many summers here as a teen) and this was not a problem. The beach resort area has a lovely restaurant that is affordable. The rooms were minimalist and clean. Housekeeping was a lovely woman. She made beds, emptied garbage and swept daily. There is no towel exchange daily (there is a few if you wish for this service). The hotel offers wifi, a mini fridge and air conditioning. The breakfast is actually served at Delice Cafe which is a few doors down from the b&b. The owners were lovely and the food was good. Expect a low key breakfast of pastries or a croissant, juice and a coffee or cappuccino (which is the Italian style for breakfast). There is a restaurant beneath the b&b but I did not go. The hours are I believe 10:30-3:30 and they do not open evenings except Thursday to Saturday. I enjoyed the beach during their opening times and did not stay over a weekend. The supermarket "Tigre" is steps away so you can get bottles of water, snacks, etc. There is a common area you can use with a microwave, coffee maker, kettle etc if desired"

Parking is withing the apartment boundary, behind a locked gate. The peaceful olive grove and garden are a perfect place for dining alfresco -underneath the large covered terrace and for enjoying the peace and quiet of the beautiful country location . The large garden is on a slope which is graduated and terraced .The garden is fenced all round so very safe for children . The beaches are wonderful the closest being 20 mins by car . The whole unspoilt Trabacchi Coast is yours to explore and enjoy.
Local restaurants serve only the best in local produce with the area having an abundance of outstanding local dishes and wine .Along coast the restaurants only serve the best fresh caught fish and molluscs at very reasonable prices.The ice cream shops are amazing and very tempting.
The nearest bar and restaurant to the house is 2 mins drive or a 10 minute walk away through the olive groves and countryside.The local restaurant provides take a way pizza.
Casa Foelas is in a semi rural position and is peaceful and private but in no way remote .You may choose to spend lazy days around the house sunbathing on the patio or reading a book in the hammock slung beneath the Olive trees in the shade with a glass of Prosecco, or you may want to explore the area has something for everyone and makes the perfect place to holiday.
Car hire is essential when renting Casa Foelas .
There is parking for one car at the property . The lane to the house is quite narrow in places (there are passing places )and typical of rural Italy .
In this area it is very difficult to arrange taxis so please be aware of this when considering this property to rent .
Mosquitoes, ants, cockroaches, wasps and other insects are common in warmer climates, particularly in the country areas. . Our property is surrounded by gardens and countryside and native species are to be expected . Please consider this when booking our house. Please also consider although private and secluded public nudity in or around the pool is not permitted at the property for hygiene reasons . However there is a nudist beach about 20 mins by car in the area if this is something you wish to do .

The views all around are breathtaking! My grandparents grew up in Loreto so it was so wonderful to see!! The apartment is located in an early 20th century building very close to Porta Nuova rail-station and it easily accesible from the airport by bus. Near by we have the old town of Pescara which is an area plenty of bars and restaurants. The flat, recently refurbished, is part of my apartment but with an independent entrance. The area is served by many services and is in a convenient position for getting around: university, the city centre and the beach can be easily reached by walking.

The space
It is a comfortable double room located in an apartment joined to the one where I live, but structurally completely independent and with a separate entrance. The room has a window that does not face outwards: which has the advantage of keeping the environment very quiet. The room is equipped with air conditioning (which can also act as a heat pump), smart TV and it is simply but comfortably furnished. The private bathroom is adjacent to the room. In the flat there is another room which can be rented to two other guests. The common areas are the kitchen and a large hall, and a studio room will be added soon.

The apartment is in an area very close to the sea (5-minute walk), near the parks of the Pineta D'Annunziana, the stadium, the University, the D'Annunzio theater, Flaiano, the Ex Aurum (important city center cultural symbol) and the Tourist Port.
