- "We got there earlier than planned, but we were still able to keep ourselves busy because of the large variety of activities around, including the three pyramids, the ropes course w/ zipline, the paths, etc. I'd suggest this for a family with kids - there are numerous attractions to keep you busy for a full 24 hours. Checking in, the staff at the registration desk were very friendly and we were able to get our room within two short minutes. Communication in the hotel is very clear and fluent. The room was very clean and the views were unbelievable, with a large, unframed picture window giving us a stunning view of the harbor and a distant view of the ocean. The room's size was a pleasant surprise, being larger than expected. Service at the hotel was ongoing until late in the night, making it easy to schedule and plan out your day. The pool was gorgeous at night, with beautiful lights and poolside service, plus a swim-up bar for adults. Fireworks are displayed later in the evening on Friday and Saturday nights and can be seen both from the pool and your hotel room. Parking space was infinite and varies greatly - you can park either beside the hotel, at the front by the reception with easy-access, or at the back where there was a large parking garage with multiple levels. The beach is only 11 minutes away, being 3.1 miles away from Moody Gardens. I'd definitely suggest this hotel for anyone looking to spend time outdoors with their family."

- "Our family needed a summer escape & even though it rained…a lot…we had such a wonderful time. This lived up to the sign in the living room, “ Our Happy Place.” Property manager was prompt & kitchen was well stocked. We hope to return next summer." - "The Condo The condo was spot on; beautiful location in Galveston located right along the bay. The place was exactly as advertised, the back porch area definitely is the place to be around sunset. This was the great part of the stay. The Property Point West manages the day-to-day activities on the property. The $25 per person fee to use the amenities is absolutely not worth purchasing in the off-season. We bought two of the arm bands for the 5-night, 4 days stay. We checked in on Monday and checked out Friday morning. The gate code given to us was not valid; it was changed on Tuesday, and we were not notified (you have to provide your contact information at the time of purchase). So, we could not access either pool area. Finally seen a security guard after hours and were let into the main swimming area to find the game room was closed for renovations, and the restaurant and bar were only open on the weekends. The property is too large to walk between swimming areas, so you must drive a vehicle to get between them. The drive to the entertainment district of Galveston is 30 minutes one-way (during off season with no traffic). So, plan on excessive drive times during peak season. One final note, our elevator in our building contained a horrid pungent smell the entire time we were there. I am unable to use stairs and the property is not handicap friendly or useable by those with disabilities."

Some things to bring for this place: seasoning, cooking utensils, and beach accessories. There isn’t a storage for this unit as with the few others we’ve stayed at in Pointe West so they didn’t provide chairs and toys for the beach. Good thing we brought some things anyway. This place is also across the street from the club and beach access. It wasn’t a big hassle to get there really at all but not having to load and unload the car would’ve been nice. Otherwise we really enjoyed it here! Great view and super clean and updated. Seems they just put in new floors and furnishings."
