The space
Our resort is located in an old fish factory. We bought in the year 2005 and we have totally renovated it with a lot of love and care. We always have had the history of the house in mind during our renovations and our love for the culture and the history shines through all our work.
In our restaurant we focus on working with local ingredients and we just love our craft brewery´s production, beers, gin and moonshine.
Our Spa offers both hot tubs and sauna´s, as well as beer baths and sea weed baths.

Blábjörg Resort is located in the idyllic fishing village of Bakkagerði in Borgarfjörður eystri. Surrounded by beautiful mountains and unique nature, a variety of hiking trails and outdoor activities can be found here both during summer and winter seasons. Rising out of the village is the mystical Elf City, Álfaborg, from where the elves watch over the town and its visitors. Hafnarhólmi, the puffin colony, is buzzing with bird life from early April to middle of August and is unique to experience.
