Guest Access
All area's Specified above can be used by guests. For guests arriving by car at a parking place is available in front of the house.
In Addition to the house is usefull possible to rent our car. It concerns a Hyundai Tucson 4x4. The car sacrificing space for 5 persons and HAS enough luggage space. The daily rental costs are € 90. Sent us a email for more information.
Interaction with Guests
We are not living in Iceland, but if you send us an email, we will arrange the care keeper of the house to contact you for Further assistance.
Upon arrival a starting kit containing a dishwasher tablet, a washing tablet for color and white wash and some cleaning cloths will be oversupplied to you. Also the bed linen and towels are included.
The Neighborhood
Selfoss is a town with approx. 6. 000 Inhabitants. It is situated between Reykjavik and all major wonders in the south. The town offers a couple of supermarkets, fast food restaurants (KFC, Domino's), swimming pool, ATM machine, bank.
In case of emergency a hospital, dentist and doctor are available in the village.
There is a good bus service to and from Reykjavik. The costs of a ticket amounts approx. 1. ISK 600 (EUR 12). Also bus services to other areas leave from Selfoss.
Getting Around
The home is a good base to explore the natural wonders along the south coast of Iceland (for example Geysir, Blue Lagoon, Landmannalaugar, Vik, Thorsmork, etc).
We can advice you on a companythat offers affordable 4x4 cars or normal cars to rent for the holiday period.
Guest wanting to go horseback riding we can advice to go to Hveragerdi (approx. 10 min. From the home) or in Selfoss. If you want a recommondation about a good horseback riding company please let us know.
A book with pictures and suggestions for Daytours is available in the house, together with leaflets or interesting places to visit or things to do.

On request we can help you plan your trip to Iceland before arrival. With this service you can enjoy your trip to the fullest. We ourselves have traveled to Iceland many times (about 20 times) and we know some local people, so we can advice you on places to visit accordion thing to your own wishes.

Our Lodge is located in Lón ( meaning Lagoon ), south east of Iceland, surounded with breathtaking landscape and naturel, black sand beaches, amazing mountains all around, like Vestrahorn and Brunnhorn often nicknamed The Batman Mountain. Great location to explore the east of Iceland, many nice hiking routes in the area.
Town Höfn is only 34 km / 29 min drive away, there you find local swimming pool, grocery / liqour store, pharmacy, restaurants etc.

On the Ground floor we have two bedrooms, both bedrooms with King Size beds (180x200cm) that can also used as two Single Beds (2x 90x200cm), Kitchen fully loaded with everything you need, laundry room where we have washing machine and dryer, bathroom with shower. In the living room we have nice sitting area, TV and Apple TV with streaming services, Netflix etc.
On the Upper floor we have main bathroom, with nice shower, we have Organic Shampoo, Conditioner and Bodysoap from Sóley. Upstairs are three bedrooms, one with King Size bed (180x200cm) that can also used as two Single Beds 90x200cm), the 4th bedroom has Double bed (140x200cm) and the 5th bedroom has Single bed (120x200cm).
