However, the resort rooms lack cleanliness as the once beautiful white tiles have a yellow tinge to it. I sympathise with the choice of white as Phu Quoc can get very hot and white is less likely to retain the heat. I trust that they are clean, however, upon first glance, feel a little put off. The rooms are spacious and the pool is nice to use. 2/3 of the pools were under maintenance and I believe that they will reopen at the end of 2024. The shells is a decent stay, however I don’t believe it is still the 5 star resort it once was. "

- "We stayed here over the Christmas break and although the hotel was at capacity we could not fault it. The staff, especially Quin at reception, was extremely helpful and kind. No question was left un answered and the hospitality staff were amazing. We did not have to wait very long for anything. Would definitely recommend this place again. All ocean view rooms have great sight lines of the waterfront and a nice sized balcony for two people to watch. I can recommend watching the sunset from the rooftop bar or the beach. Only one problem I encountered was the noise from the hall way, the walls between rooms are quiet so you will not hear your neighbours however once In the hallways you will hear the noise of bags and screaming children or yelling parents like they are in your room. Breakfast was a good selection of both western and Asian foods however recommend you go early to beat crowds. Can recommend this hotel!"

Secondly as the windows have Venetian blinds the bedroom is not completely dark especially if the room is next to a resort light. So suggest an additional blackout blind. Lastly the room doors need a better seal or brush strip at the bottom as they allow small lizards into the room. I am not scared of them but some people obviously won’t want a lizard in the room. - "Staff at reception are very helpful and efficient. Although can't speak much English, they will try to assist and help their guests. Nice place to stay but a bit of walking distance to the main road. Along the way, there's some restaurants that serve Asian and western food. There's one that I hv been eating there a few times with my children as price reasonable, lots of varieties, fast serving but always full house. Servers are friendly but need to wait if u want to eat there. Only setback is most restaurants got no aircond coz it's open air. Only fan and air cooler. "

- "Very nice resort with polite staff. Room was clean and breakfast tasty. 1 min by walk to the beach and 20 min by walk to night market. " - "Older, and a little worn, but generally nice hotel. Walking distance from the night market, and plenty of restaurants in the area. There are pool tiles missing and ladders out of the pool could do with some work, lots of cracked tiles on pathways around the property too. We had a lovely beach villa. Unfortunately our door had a few issues with the handle coming off and being locked in but it was fixed straight away every time, and the bath/shower drainage was terrible and went across the bathroom. We were the only ones in a beachfront villa, but were there the days they decided to do edging on the footpath and chainsaw the trees out the front, so not really ideal. Felt we couldn’t sit on our veranda and enjoy the view. Plenty of places to eat and drink nearby as well as atms, chemists and supermarkets."

Our place is at the East coast of the Island, close to virgin forest and not far from national park. There are a lot of small islands around that you can come to explore. There are some local seafood restaurant about 500 m from the villa and a bar is about 4 km.The market is far from here, but there are mobile markets pass here every morning that we can buy everything for our meal.
