The kitchen was very well appointed; we ate breakfast and dinner there both nights of our stay. And the common areas and bathrooms were very clean. There is a Murphy wall-bed in the living room, but using it would make things incredibly tight, in my opinion. It was very quiet there, but there resort is only allowing a certain percentage of their rooms to be booked right now, due to COVID concerns. We had a lovely view of the trees, and enjoyed sitting on the little balcony and reading books and eating our meals. The electric ignition on the barbecue wasn’t working, but a quick jaunt to the front desk remedied that with a lighter; problem solved."

Originally established in 1870, Fort Apache is one of the most widely recognized Army outposts. Today, more than 20 buildings remain on the 288-acre historic site. Sunrise Park Resort
Nestled in the heart of Arizona's beautiful White Mountains is Sunrise Park Resort, a skier's paradise that offers 65 runs. The resort also features a separate cross country ski trails and a children's “ski-wee” area. Approx. 37 mi.

Casa Malpais National Historic Landmark
Originally built around 1250 A.D Casa Malpais was inhabited by the Mogollon (Western Pueblo), whose culture flourished for more than 1,100 years. The 16-acre complex features a series of basalt terraces at an elevation of 7,000 feet. Approx. 58 mi.
