The staff are particularly helpful, polite and friendly, with highly personal service due to the small size and it feels like a family run business, more so than the neighbours: Beyond Resort, Varana and Dilusit Thani (a bit further). It has a spa, with reasonable prices compared to the neighbouring hotels, but best value is always in massage parlours around the hotels. The Naga restaurant was excellent for dinner on the beach. - "We spent ten wonderfull days at the Anantara Rasananda. They picked us up at Samui airport for the boat trip to the resort in Koh Phangan. A cool drink was provided at the departure lounge prior to boarding. On arrival we checked in and were amazed at the size, elegance and position of our beach front pool suite, we could not of been happier. The resort is very quiet and each of the units very private, ideal for couples. There is an opportunity to meet other guests at breakfast time or dinner, or during a poolside drink at the bar. All meals are prepared and served with the ideal of providing guests with an enjoyable experience. The staff was friendly and attentive. The rooms were enormous and beautiful. They included a full kitchen, private pool and even a washing machine. The outdoor shower was a blast as well. The only small detail that would have made the property perfect was the lighting. I saw quite a few of those twirly old and cold fluorescent light bulbs. They just don't match the beauty of the rest of the property and it would be so easy to switch those out to the new warmer LED style bulbs. That being said, I can't wait to go back. It is a fair price for a gorgeous property with nice people. "
