The positive is that the grounds are beautiful, you feel close to natural, and the views are amazing. - "We are really pleased with our experience at Amari Phuket. This is a huge resort spread over a large hilly area. This means that rooms are located on hills and it is not easy to stroll upto your room. You need a transport and it is provided by the hotel. We never had to wait very long for transport inside the resort. The resort is really beautiful. It is located just at the end of the main patong beach area and well secluded from traffic. The views from the room are excellent. Within the resort there is a small private beach. A jetty with a restaurant, seaside restaurant for the breakfast and other meals and a sea side bar. Plenty of facilities including a tailoring shop. We had a great time. You can relax a lot in this resort. They also lookafter you after you checkout by prividing lockers and rest room facilities until you are ready to leave. Staff work extremely hard to do things for you. They never say no. Just to be mindful that english is not there first language and there can sometimes communication challenges but they do their best. We feel it was great value for our money. Infact it exceeded our expectations. We will be happy to stay here again. "

I found some spots around the room walls and shower that could have used a wiping. The towels smeller kinda bad so i dont know if there really washing them or just rehanging them for you. Watch for that. A simple call to fix that. Very convenient location to patong beach and shops. Far enough away to not hear all the night time partying. I had a city view which i much prefered than the pool view. Much more private. The hotel staff was very helpful for any situation that may occur. Very friendly. I would come back again for sure! Expect a $1000 baht deposit on arrival. You will get it back when you check out. Make sure you save the receipt! You have to show that to get your money back. I stayed in the Patong area of Phuket where the famous Bangla Road is situated, there is something for everyone there, I would say it is a safe area, families with young children were about at night, the Thai people are very welcoming and polite. The best holiday I have ever been on, as the saying goes, I'll be back. I am in my seventies and travel on my own but I wasn't on my own for long, I found a female partner which was handy for the language barrier, providing they speak reasonable English, she had her own motorbike which was great for getting to the go-cart track in Kathu, very good track for those who like fast tracks. Treat the girl or lady you are with, with respect and they will make you feel like a prince, reward them as they don't earn much, as they say in Vegas what goes on in Vegas stays in Vegas, that should apply to any holiday, so don't be a fool and part with your money too easily."

I think Impiana had some gravity chairs and the trees offer nice shade options in front of their property on the beach but we preferred the other chairs down the beach. Not a big deal - we appreciated that it wasn’t so chaotic in front of Impiana. :)"

Firstly, we got there at 9.30am and they cleaned the room super fast so we could go straight in to sleep! We were in by 10.30am. The staff were very helpful and called to check in when there was a small issue with the towels. The location was great - it was on the top of a hill which was a small hike, but it was far enough away for there to not be too much noise, and close enough for a nice stroll to get to the popular places. The food in the restaurant was delicious, and the lady who worked there got to know us and our orders. We loved staying here and would recommend it to anyone. We did not use the spa or the gym so cannot comment on those. "
