- "Full disclosure: we didn't get to stay here. This is why I would absolutely give it 5 stars regardless: We got caught in Tropical Storm Sara which left us stranded at Belize City. Every hotel in the immediate area was booked. I was able to find this at the last minute and booked it. Erroneously, their website had not shut down in time to prevent me from booking there because they too were experiencing flooding and had to shut down their resort. While most others could have just looked at us and said "sorry, too bad" they not only helped us, but assisted us in finding another hotel. Pete, the owner even gave us a ride to our hotel. Let me tell you, when we get back here one day, we will come patron the resort when it's not in a storm - they were so incredibly warm, accommodating, and from what we could see in the dark, the resort grounds looked amazing. - "Our 2 bedroom villa was beautifully furnished with a modern kitchen and gorgeous outdoor space around a private pool. The indoor outdoor shower in the master bedroom was amazing. This villa has separate air conditioning in both bedrooms and the living room. Having a washer/dryer was a nice bonus. These villas are situated in a gated community on top of a hill overlooking the Maya flats about 15 minutes outside Xunantunich. You definitely need AWD to access your villla. The site manager Julian was easy to contact and was quick to respond to any questions. "
