Niagara Falls, one of the Seven Wonders of the World is 40 minutes away via QEW West as is Niagara-on-the-Lake (Shaw Festival) and more wineries than you can imagine. Experience life on a tiny farm just outside the city! Guests describe our place as like staying in a petting zoo. All the animals are very friendly and come right up for love, scratches and especially apples! You will wake up to the sounds of chickens, ducks, geese, pigs, goats, rabbits, sheep, horses and cows. Staying in our barn loft is a true farm experience but with all the luxury of home and more. Guests are welcome to participate in the morning and evening feedings and a meet and greet with the animals. Our farm is conveniently situated midway between Niagra Falls and Toronto and is a perfect spot to relax in between exploring all that these regions have to offer. The Bruce trail and many other excellent hiking trails are at your doorstep during your stay. There are several nature sancutaries within walking distance and the Royal Botanical Gardens, the largest botanical garden in Canada and a national historic site, is just 4 km away.
The space
Completely private and detached 350 square foot loft apartment located on the upper level of our barn. The lower level of the barn houses the resident animals which are turned in at night to their stalls. The 6 acre property also has a main residence where the property owners live.
Guest access
For the safety of the animals that live at the farm and for the safety of the guests, we ask that guests do not open any cages, pens or gates besides the ones marked specifically in the check in details. At no time should the guests enter the gated pasture where the animals graze as some of the animals will bite or kick people they are unfamiliar with.

The animals that live at the farm become stressed and upset when other animals such as dogs come onto the property. For this reason we are not able to accept pets.
Other things to note
Please keep in mind when you are deciding to book with us that the apartment is located on the top level of a barn that is surrounded by the animals that live on the farm. You will be fully immersed in farm life and all that it entails upon entering and exiting the gated staircase that leads to the apartment. In rainy weather it can be muddy. Boots are recommended for spending time around the farm.

Our apartment has its own private driveway, yard and private entrance at the side of the house. This ensures complete privacy for you during your stay. While we typically stay upstairs when hosting, occasionally, we also welcome guests upstairs when we`re away. We are quiet people and have house rules of quiet hours from 9pm-8am. If we are away during your stay, we always inform the guests who stay in the upstairs of the house of the quiet hour times, although we cannot guarantee that the rules will always be followed while we are not there.

Additionally, you’ll have full access to the laundry room, which is the only shared space, located in a common area of the basement. The laundry room is accesses without needing to enter the basement apartment.

You have full privacy when using the apartment. No one will be there but you. You won’t see me unless you need me. You will be able to access the house yourself via a smart lock. I am available anytime by the app.

There’s quick access to all major highways and it’s an easy walk to restaurants, activities and shopping in the area. If you’re heading to Toronto or Niagra Falls, the GO Station has regular inexpensive trains and is just a 5 minute drive away.

Despite soundproofing that exists. There can be some sound transfer between the upper and lower floor. Music and footsteps tend to transfer through due to the vibrations, but voices tend not to carry through as much.

I am a local resident who required an offsite location for working on plans for 2025 and needed a quiet space—this apartment fit my needs perfectly. If the need rises again, I hope to have the opportunity to rebook with Michael and I’ve already highly recommended it to a friend. There were a few hiccups on my part with the checking in (I was one day early) but Michael was very gracious and patient with me—we had a good laugh. Fortunately, I was able to return home LOL. With the checking out, after reviewing all reservation information from Verbo and from the host, my understanding was checkout time was 11 am but was informed the morning of it was 10 o’clock. Unfortunately, I did not see or read the message in time so there was a bit of a crossover between myself still being there in the process of leaving when the cleaning team arrived. I’ll know in future to confirm with the host for checking out time. My apologies for any inconvenience caused to the cleaning crew. This is a lovely little property in walking distance of everything you would hope to enjoy in downtown Burlington. Close to the lake, restaurants etc. I look forward to booking with Verbo again when the need arises. Check-in and Check-out times are MANDATORY unless scheduled and confirmed at a minimum of 24 hours in advance and if we are able to accommodate without double booking. **$50.00/hour penalty will be applied if you fail to check-out by 10am or by the agreed upon check-out time. 7. A surcharge of $100.00 per undeclared guest per night will be applied for unapproved guests. Please be honest. We must coordinate cleaners and inventory based on the number of guests that occupy the unit.

It is a spacious, beautiful Suite, a great place for a small gateway for couples with or without children. I am very close to the highway, and due to the window AC in the bedroom and living room (you may hear noise from the road), light sleepers may find it bothersome, but overall it is perfect. I am 40 40-minute drive from Niagara on the Lake and Toronto (20 minutes to the Go Train station). My place is economically convenient for anything.

This is very close to downtown and the Lake as well as shopping and public transportation. We have just finished renovating this apartment, new kitchen, bathroom, and flooring. Our places are very clean and safe. The building has a FOB-controlled entrance for safety.

The apartment is bright with its many large windows, in the photos the blinds are pulled up however we do have privacy and window coverings. Parking for guest or visitors is available, and there is laundry facilities in the building. Please note we have stairs to get to the unit.
