Parking, on the side of building, was very convenient but comes with a cost of $20 p/d. The decor is very impressive and recently renovated. It is not a huge hotel, which makes it feel "homey." During our 6 days stay we met only one other group of 3 guest and they were checking out. (We were told the next week would be very busy.) The suite is equipped with all we needed: kitchenette, fridge, dishwasher, etc., all very condensed. The separate bedroom with two queen size beds is separate from the sitting area/kitchenette area, just down a short hall, just inside the entry door. The ONLY negatives are the new flooring is laminate "snaps, crackles and pops" in certain areas because of poor adhesion and the instructions for using the TV streaming (there are 2 TVs) in the suite and the coffee to water ratio for the Mr. Coffee maker are very lacking."

The Expedia site promises that entry instructions (the lockbox code) wouldl be sent 48 hours before check-in. When I asked if it could be earlier, the host replied that they would be sent 24 hours before check-in! Maybe a punishment for asking too much? The 24 hour mark came and went, with no word -- finally at 11 PM the night before arrival I wrote to Expedia and, after a lot of back-and-forth, got the email address for the host, who then responded with the check-in info at 1 AM on the day of our arrival. The message also revealed that we would be on the third floor, with no elevator (actually the 4th floor, you had to go up a flight to get to the first). The website says there is no elevator, but did not indicate what floor we would be on. Since we are octogenarians, we would not have booked the apartment had we known this."

Easy highway access to airport and city, picturesque neighborhood routes (mid century modern homes, charming landscaping) for local travel. There is a spacious, bright living area on the first floor & large, multifunction bedrooms on the second floor—plenty of room for a family to spread out during downtime for naps, showers, diverse TV fare. Our grandson periodically chilled out in the bedroom with his iPad & the smart TV, & my physician husband set up a mini Office in the master bedroom to handle some patients calls, etc—where there was great internet, plenty of outlets, a small side-table-turned-desk, great lighting and quiet. Every vacation-typical culinary need was anticipated, & the hosts stressed their availability to help problem-solve if we lacked any appliances (we didn’t). This place is almost perfect for that except my phone stopped working the moment I approached my room. I couldn’t use my ATT hotspot for secure connection or make voice calls from the room. Just down the hall or in the very nice lounge area one floor up all worked fine. Texting and FaceTime we’re fine because I could piggyback the internet. It was gateway having secure covered parking and the host was very quick to respond to all questions. Very high quality and a good location."

The Coach House is situated above the garage of a beautiful historic Manor House built in 1914 and designed by famed architect Earnest Mayo. The entire house and coach house was restored to its original splendor and has since won several awards and been seen on TV and in movies. The house is both a National and Evanston landmark and is situated in the Lakeshore Historic District. The coach house includes a living room/dining room, one bedroom, a bathroom and a full kitchen.
There is also a single bedroom on the second floor of the main house that can be used for an extra guest. Please inquire regarding fees.

- "The apartment was cozy and exactly as advertised. Meant for one, but it did accommodate my needs as well as my teenage son's, who stayed with me for a couple of weeks and slept on an additional, portable bed. The neighbors and the neighborhood is quiet, there are stores within walking distance, the Internet was speedy and I loved the smart TV which allowed me to play my movies from my USB stick. Maybe the location of the bathroom next to the kitchen isn't the best option, but one could see as the architecture of the building probably prompted for it, since the pipers are on one side. The thermostat was working and the heat plus the ceiling fan were a great addition to getting comfortable on the love seat in front of the TV. I loved the neighborhood, although it was a little out of the way when it came to going in and out of the city, however the 49B bus servicing Western is only about 3-4 mins of walking distance. It comes regularly and every time I had to do a commute I found it to be very reliable. The apartment is fully furnished, the towels and sheets are clean, the mattress soft enough for a good night's sleep. I feel the host has been more than communicative and overall she has made sure that I got the best experience possible. Highly recommended!"

In addition to the bedroom and bathroom, guest will have access to kitchen with several amenities: coffee maker, toaster, toaster-oven, crock pot, and Nija food processor, and space in the refrigerator. The dining room space with a large cherry wood table seats 6 people, and living room with cable TV.

Converted dining room into a bedroom with heavy drapes and screen for privacy, not door. Your area is very clean but, shared areas are not pristine, please keep in mind. No wifi or tv. Share apt. with me, Melanie, and my 2 children and 2 cats. Quiet hours 9pm to 7am. 30 min drive to downtown Chicago - 10 min to Northwestern University. Walk to beach, coffee shops, train and downtown Evanston. Bedroom sleeps 2 but very small! Free street parking. I only occasionally offer this room.

This is a room inside an apartment building in South Evanston. Free Parking is on street. Very casual unfrilly apartment. Space is tight but quiet at night as we go to bed in our room early. Laundry can be paid for in coins or Clear Token app in basement.
