This old sicilian house is situated in the hilly country behind Siracusa, 3 km from the quiet little town of Canicattini Bagni. Beautiful canyons just like Cava Grande del Cassibile or Cava Carossello close to Noto Antica can be reached by car in a few minutes and are perfect for trekking and swimming in crystal-clear streams or natural pools.
From here it takes about 20 minutes to reach Syracuse, Noto, Palazzolo Acreide, Pantalica and many sandy and rocky beaches.

The space
This typical country house was completely restored 10 years ago. The large property lies on 400 m altitude on the top of a hill and offers a sweeping view of Mount Etna and the coast. The guestroom is very cool in summer and is located on the ground floor. It has its own entrance, a private bathroom and a small terrace. Guests can also take advantage of a kitchenette with two gas burners, sink, pots and pans and various dishes.

My husband is an architect specialized in sundials which are installed on the walls of the house and on the property. He would be glad to explain their function and technical details to you. Furthermore, he is a passionate motocycle rider and organizes, upon request, tours in Sicily.
The family also includes two dogs, they have access to the kitchen and the dining room.
