Built for the Harbour Master nearly 200 years ago, The Quay House has been sensitively restored and now offers guest accommodation in fourteen bedrooms (all different) with full bathrooms – all but three overlook the Harbour. The owners were not hovering at all, but ion site and very accommodating to our needs, answering our questions, giving recommendations, etc. When I asked about a recommendation for a restaurant on arriving after a very hectic travel day, she helped with making the reservation for us. She even offered an extra day at the end of our trip, after we were delayed a day due to airline cancellations. We thoroughly enjoyed the town with all of the amazing restaurants, shops, grocery store, and children’s playground all within a comfortable walking distance to the Quay house. We loved the Connemara region including beaches, castles, the national park, and the beautiful Countryside and Atlantic coast! Nothing that I can think of!"
