This little oasis is positioned on a south facing hill, overlooking a wide expanse of valley, tucked away from everything but yet a 5min drive from Westport Town.

A wood-fired hot tub sits on the spacious deck, overlooking the valley. After bathing in the hot tub make your way up the external staircase to the balcony (which connects to the bedroom), where you can relax in the hammock and take in the amazing views.

This new AirBnB has an interesting balance of contemporary and traditional. Surrounded by a bounty of undisturbed meadow land, nature & wild life, this little haven is elevated on a south facing hill, overlooking a wide spance of valley, tucked away from everything.

Though just over 2 miles (5minute drive) from Westport town, there is a sense of being miles from anywhere. Steeped in peace & tranquility, free from light pollution, idyllic for night sky gazing, this is a place where
you can just BE. It makes for the ultimate wind-down get-away break.

As mentioned a wood fired hot tub sits on the spacious south facing deck, surrounded by ample lawn space, overlooking the valley. An exterior staircase leads you from the deck to a balcony (which also connects to the bedroom), where you can chill out or relax in the hammock, taking in the spectacular panoramic views surrounding you.

The interior design has a unique and quirky style, with a combination of antique and purpose built furnishings. Set against a bright, white background, the space is complimented by tasteful detail thought and colour, emanating joy and feel good factor. With the buildings’ south facing orientation, natural light floods in, allowing for a glowing, bright & positive experience throughout the day.

This cosy Swiss style Chalet encompasses so nicely everything you need for your stay:

Comprising of two floors.

A spacious bright & cheerful bedroom is situated on the first floor, with an adjacent balcony.
The bed faces directly south, allowing for lovely views across the valley through a large rectangular window while being tucked under the covers. A writing desk faces the same direction with views through a large port hole window.
The bedroom can be accessed directly via the ground floor spiral staircase or via the exterior stairs, leading to the balcony with door to bedroom.

The ground floor consists of living/dining/kitchen area and bathroom.
The living area has a large and very comfortable couch that converts to an equally comfortable double bed, making it possible for this Chalet to comfortably sleep 4 people.

The kitchen is fully kitted out with all the necessary essentials, including a fridge/freezer, cooker & washing machine.
Gas is the main source of energy for heat/hot water & cooking, while a wood-burning stove in the living area, is an additional heat source or simply a therapeutic experience for a chill out evening (note: the building is really well insulated so lighting the fire in summer can be too warm).

The circular dining table is situated in front of the double french doors, leading to the deck. This connects you with the outdoors/south facing valley views, adding to your dining experience. The outdoor table is also another dining option, with a mobile Barbeque also provided (charcoal is not provided and guests must bring their own).

The tastefully designed compact bathroom is fully functional and quite charming. It could be characterised as the cutest room in the house.

The building of this Chalet was a very thoughtful and detailed process. Not only was the focus on a comfortable, warm and fully functional space but the feel good factor was an essential part of every aspect. It's very much focused on the experience, providing good well-being, allowing you to unwind, relax and switch off.

THINGS TO NOTE

. HOT TUB prep/heating is the responsibility of the guest. Approx 2.5hrs heating time. Fire log and timber are provided.

. BBQ material such as charcoal is the responsibility of the guest.

. This property has its own SPRING WATER well, with beautiful crystal clear water on tap from kitchen sink.

. The Chalet is fully complete with BLACK-OUT BLINDS on all windows & doors to support a good nights sleep.

. IRON + BOARD and HAIR DRYER are provided.

. NO SHOE house (some crocs provided) - you may wish to bring your own indoor shoes.

. FRIDGE is under counter size with small top freezer compartment.
