Burnside Lodge is a beautiful chalet on the banks of the river Lundy, 3 miles from Fort William and 3 miles from the ski resort of Nevis Range.
Set in garden grounds in the small hamlet of ‘Happy Valley’, a rural location on the outskirts of town.
The chalet is on one level, easy entry from the car park onto a decked area with barbecue, outdoor seating and covered eating area overlooking the river.
On entering the chalet into an open plan living, dining kitchen area the triple aspect room has a log burner for those chillier nights and sky tv.
The kitchen is well equipped with all the appliances you will need for your break, oven, hob, microwave, dish washer, washer/dryer, fridge, freezer,etc.
One bedroom, with views to Ben Nevis and surrounding area, has a king size bed and is ensuite with a power shower.
The second bedroom, countryside views, has two single beds which on request can be zipped and linked to a super king. The bathroom is outside the bedroom door and has a bath with shower.
Both rooms have wardrobes and plenty of drawer space. Hairdryers, Tv/dvd, books, games and dvd’s.
There is free WiFi in the property.
A garden shed is provided for bikes etc.
From the deck you may on rare occasions see a selection of wildlife, deer, otters, mink and always varied amounts of birds from woodpeckers to sparrows. ‘Resident’ mallard ducks are on the river bank daily.
From the chalet you can go hiking through the forest trails or the ‘Ben’ if your feeling energetic. There is a cycle path into town from the top of our road and also up to Nevis Mountain Range where there are numerous bike tracks and a high wire adventure park. Nevis Range has two restaurants one at base station and one accessed by a mountain gondola which give for great views on a clear day.
There is a bus stop at the top of the road if you want to catch a bus to town or further afield like Inverness.
The 18 hole golf course is a mile away and has a club house for a wee dram if you feel like dropping in!
The prestigious Inverlochy Castle Hotel is a short walk away for that special meal if you’d like.
Fort William is the ‘outdoor capital’ of the uk and as such is a great base for numerous activities and likewise for day trips to ie; Mallaig on the Jacobite steam train, or the rugged glens of Glencoe, or the Isle of Skye. Visit the stunning silver sands of Morar and its beautiful coastline.

- "So we rented a pod. It looks lovely in the photos, but let me tell you what you really get. Firstly, I know it's only a pod, we weren't expecting the world. However, it has no cooker, no hob, no microwave, no toaster, and No Fridge ! A kettle a couple of cups a pair of knives and forks, but, no plates, no bowls ! Frankly it's pathetic. The floor by the bed squeaks terribly. Now let's talk about the bed. It's a mattress covered in plastic. Now I'm not as young as I was, but I don't need an incontinence mattress just yet. As you can imagine, it makes a terrible noise every time you move, and you sweat a lot because we had warm weather (not complaining about that) The whole build of the pod is cheap. It's just plywood on the ceilings that have had a coat of emulsion. All the knots and stains are coming through. When you sit on the toilet you can't put your legs out in front of you because of the little cupboard in front. The shower head and unit is in the wrong place so if you are tall like myself the hose goes across the shower area restricting your ability to move about. Lots of noise from the surrounding properties as well. Shouting and swearing at builders one day. Not great. To top it all the price they are charging is an absolute joke. Way too expensive . If it was £50 a night I still wouldn't stay there again. Look for somewhere else to stay. So disappointing."

Our cabin is close to Nevis Range ski slopes, world class mountain bike trails and the North face of Ben Nevis. Whether you want to enjoy the endless outdoor activities or chill out and tune into nature, its the perfect spot. The surrounding woodland is home to a host of wildlife including deer, owls, woodpeckers and there are also ruins of old crofts from another age to explore. Despite being conveniently only 3 miles from Fort William you really feel like you've gotten away from it all.

The Woodland Retreat is an old-style basic wooden cabin located on our Highland farm at the foot of Ben Nevis. Simply furnished but with all the essentials. It has a double bedroom and a twin room, an open plan living room/kitchen with a wood burning stove, TV, a toilet / shower room and a balcony with a seating area.

The retreat offers a perfect secluded base for a whole range of outdoor adventures. Just a stone's throw from Ben Nevis and Nevis Range the skiing, climbing and Mountain biking potential is endless. The farm has highland cattle, hedridean sheep and horses and you can explore as much or as little as you like on the multitude of tracks and paths that surround the farm. The mighty river Lochy roars past less than a mile away and on its banks you can often see kingfishers, otters and even watch the salmon jump.

Your accommodation is a two bedroom static home, situated in its own setting within a very large garden, and tremendous views.
It would be my intention to meet and greet, however, when this is not possible there will be a keypad available to allow access.

The Lodge Kinlocheil is in-between Fort William and Glenfinnan. The Chalet is on a small working sheep farm and has spectacular views of Locheil and the mountains surrounding Glenfinnan. 15 minutes’ drive from Corpach on the out skirts of Fort William and 15 minutes from Glenfinnan with is viaduct (Harry Potter Bridge) and beautiful Loch Sheil. The House is in a peaceful location and is a great base for exploring Lochaber, hill walking, climbing, biking, fishing and skiing

The Log Cabin is fully equipped with all modern amenities, large flat screen tv, wi-fi, dvd, dishwasher, washer/dryer, there is tables/chairs on a large terrace with views to the mountains, a wood-fired oven and barbecue are available and we have free parking.
Situated in Fort William, we are 2 miles from Ben Nevis, 3.5 miles from Nevis Range Ski Centre and 0.5 miles from shopping with Marks & Spencers, Aldi and Home Bargains. The Ben Nevis Distillery Visitor Centre is 300 metres distance.

Our newest luxury pods are situated above Onich Bay Beach with incredible views over Loch Linnhe. An onshore breeze ensures that our Scottish Midge is kept at bay! Fort William is the outdoor capital of the UK with world class mountain biking, hiking, and skiing. It is a short drive to Ben Nevis & Glen Coe, just off the famous road to Mallaig and the ferry to Skye, an hour to Aviemore and less to Loch Ness.

The space
Fancy living in a remote off-grid lodge while conveniently based only 10 miles from the highland city of Fort William?

Situated in woodland gardens beside the River Loy, Grianain lodge has beautiful views of the hill it is named for; Grianain, meaning 'sunny spot'. The lodge is at the end of the road in beautiful Glen Loy, just past Neptune's Staircase, off the famous road to Mallaig and close to the buzzing town of Fort William, outdoor capital of the UK.

It has a large king mezzanine bedroom with en-suite upstairs and a double bedroom, bathroom and twin bedroom downstairs. The living area is a large double height, open plan, fully kitted kitchen and sitting room with a wood burner, cooking island, dining table and sofa area. Wi-Fi, digital tv, DVD player and stereo with a selection of games, books and DVDs are all provided.

French doors lead out onto the decking, with an outdoor seating area and view of the hills and river. You will have sole access to the pond, lawn and private river beach, picnic area and firepit, perfect for adult groups or families with children and dogs are always welcome. BBQ available on request.

There is good hiking straight from the door and OS maps provided for serious hill walkers. The river is lovely for a dip in the summer and there are many beautiful spots to investigate close by, whether you fancy a nature swim, mountain bike, picnic, hike, ski, climb or simple stroll.

There is an abundance of local wildlife, from Red and Roe Deer, Red Squirrels, Golden Eagles, Buzzards, Pine Martens and Wild Cats to Rare local Orchids and Butterflies.

Guest access
The whole lodge is available for guests. The owners live 250m up the drive, barely visible through the trees. We like to leave guests to enjoy their private part of the property but we are close at hand should they need anything.

Other things to note
The glen road is single track but there are plenty of passing places. A 4x4 is recommended in winter weather and if you are driving up the glen after dark, please take it easy and keep an eye out for deer.

The space
We have 3 beautiful self-catering lodges available for rent all year round (2 lodges up to 4 people, and 1 lodge up to 6 people). You can put your feet up next to the wood-burning stove and sink into our comfy sofas. All our beds, linen, and towels are carefully hand-picked to give you the most relaxing break at Inverskilavulin. All lodges provide free wifi access, flat-screen TV, and free on-site parking. We are between 15mins and 45mins away from most highland, Lochaber attractions and activities, the Isle of Skye, and much more.

Other things to note
all our lodges are self-catering. Up to 2 dogs per unit are allowed. Please inform us at the time of booking if you have a dog and please also enquire if you have an additional pet request for us to consider. We charge GBP30 per stay per animal. This is an estate with 3 other houses on the grounds, please be respectful of your neighbours and the cleanliness of your lodge, as well as the outside areas. We deep clean the lodges after every check-out and ask our guests to leave them to a similar standard to the way they found them. We may charge for extra cleaning if the lodges are left in a bad condition. For example, if there is excessive grease in the kitchen area, excessive hairs/pet hairs on the carpets and valences that would require additional cleaning time, stains etc. We kindly ask our guests to keep dogs on a lead throughout the property and clean up after any messages he/she may leave behind.
