Even had the essential in ready for us- tea, coffee, sugar, tin foil, salt, washing up liquid, all the things you need in a self catering holiday that normally aren't provided even had hand soap at all the sinks, towels and wireless charger. Also worth noting there was a cupboard full of family games and smart TV's in livingroom and both bedrooms! Alison had also gone to the trouble of making a file in the kitchen full of local takeaway menu's. Excellent internet throughout the chalet. The chalet itself was modern and clean (pictures not do it justice) and the site was quiet and clean with parking right outside the chalet. I would absolutely go back again and would recommend. Thank you for a lovely stay."

- "Great all round" - "We booked Herons Mead quite last minute for a weekend away. It’s a really quiet spot in a secluded area with a large fishing lake. If you want things to do close by this might not be for you but it was ideal for us. The staff were so friendly and attentive and happy to give recommendations of things to do nearby. The lodge itself was perfect for us, it was spacious and had everything we needed. The hot tub was a lovely added bonus. The Hide is a great place for a drink or food if you don’t want to venture out. It’s good to see the extension/building work going on and it all expanding too. Gibralter point is a lovely nature reserve with a cafe, different length walks to suit every and is really close to a beach. Just remember cash for the car park!Our only slight negative was that the phone signal and wifi wasn’t great but that just meant we had to put the phones down and switch off which I don’t think is a bad thing. Overall we had a lovely stay and would definitely return!"

- "Lovely lodge very modern and absolutely spotless" - "Over all the site was very clean and tidy however the pub/bar and food area was rather dated and drab, food was not the best ate once and that was more than enough food was poor and expensive and not very hot but the staff were friendly and helpful. COVID-19 cleaning update
We would like to reassure all our guest that stay our caravan of our current high standards of cleaning during the covid 19 pandemic....
We used a certified cleaning company that deep clean the caravan after every stay and they wear full PPE whilst cleaning.
A disinfectant mist is dispensed through out all of the caravan by our cleaner, which works it’s way into carpets, fabric, walls and upholstery. This kills COVID-19 as well as any other bacteria and germs.
The cleaning company has had to do a course to carry out this kind of deep cleaning procedure.
They also disinfect all cutlery, crockery, pots and handles.
This is on top on their usual high standard of cleaning and disinfecting they carry out as standard, pandemic or no pandemic.
Although this is an additional cost to us, we want all of our guests to have peace of mind that our caravan is a 100% safe environment for your family to be in and have a fantastic break by the coast.

During COVID 19 we have had to remove all personal touches we normally provide - such as a rainy day box (cards, board games, puzzles etc), jars of coffee / tea / sugar / tea towels to eliminate cross contamination.
We do provide cleaning products and a cloth to help you our high standard of cleanliness.
