Guest Information folder has many places to visit nearby and we also used the hospital when one of my children injured themselves. The only thing I missed was a washing machine or on site laundry facilities with mountains of washing to do we used outdoor washer/dryer facilities at the petrol station in Kessingland, which was expensive and often busy resulting in driving back and forth. We were lucky with the weather, only one wet day, we loved exploring Southwold, Lowestoft, Gorleston Splash Park, Africa Alive, Pleasurewood Hills Themepark, Beccles and Beccles Lido. We had nice food and service at Happy Wok, The Waterfront, The Wherry and Kessingland fish and chip shop. 2 weeks zoomed by, and we liked all the lighthouse decor in Lighthouse Chalet."

Feel the need for a less busy holiday enjoy peaceful walks across the Carlton Marshlands which also has a new centre where you can enjoy a drink at the cafe and take in the views of the Marsh. Since letting out our chalet we have been overwhelmed by all our lovely reviews and take pride in trying to ensure you enjoy your stay.
This particular region of the beautiful Suffolk coastline remains unspoilt and the chalet park is right on the cliff top overlooking the sea in a non commercial park. The chalet overlooks a small green and is within 100 yards of a sea view. We aim to provide both personal and homely touches in order to make your stay a little special .

The space
There is no better place to hide away! Escape the noise, traffic and emails and head to our freshly decorated beach front retreat. The chalet has two bedrooms, the 'Sun Room' which has a double bed and the 'Sand Room' which has twin beds. Both bedrooms have double wardrobes providing plenty of storage, heating, TV's, bedside lights and good quality bed linen.
The ‘Sea Room’ is an open plan living area providing space to relax and watch TV/DVD player, dining table and chairs and a fully equipped kitchen which includes a microwave, a cooker incorporating a hob and oven, fridge with an ice box, crockery and cooking utensils. An iron, ironing board, washing line and a hoover are to hand if you really feel inclined but best left in the cupboard ; )
The bathroom has a bath and an electric shower.
We try to create a real homely feel by making available some 'personal' touches such as a welcome pack which includes tea, coffee, milk and cereal. Good quality linen and fluffy towels ( there is nothing worse than drying yourself on cardboard sheets ; ) books to read, DVD's to watch, cosy throws, inside and outside games to use and an information folder containing details of places to visit and some history of the local area.
Please note that we have no WiFi in the chalet.
I live 5 minutes walk from the chalet so on hand to assist if needed.

For families you have Africa Alive, Pleasure Wood Hills and beautiful beaches like Kessingland and Southwold. For quieter days out there is Snape Maltings, Minsmere and quiet towns like Beccles. But for us, the icing on the cake is the beach which is a stones throw away, tucked behind the chalet. We aim to give you the home from home chalet. 10% off a week stay.
