"Serenio" ( Serene Studio ;) is purposely built to host our relatives when staying with us in the beautiful scenic surroundings of the Pentland Hills close to Edinburgh. More and more friends-of-friends have discovered our hideway so we are now managing it through this portal.

It's setting is idyllic and private in 2 acres of woodland also providing space to enjoy and for our chickens, goats and pig to roam. Located about 300m above sea level there are fantastic views over the hills down to the Firth of Forth with Edinburgh Castle in the distant skyline.

We are in the beautiful Pentland Hills Regional Park where you will have straight from "Serenio" access to an abundance of nature, hills, streams, lochs, hiking trails, mountain bike tracks etc, but most of all peace and beauty.

Nevertheless it is a short walk to the small nearby conservation villages with local shops, but where one can take the famous double-decker bus (every 10 min at daytime and also a Nightbus) which takes you in 30 minutes into the city centre. The City of Edinburgh is beautiful, historic and bustling with an abundance of (free) museums, architectonic beauty and cultural events.

In one sentence: raw nature and cosmopolitan experiences combined and we ourselves never fail to discover something new and interesting after the almost 20 years we now lived in Scotland.

It typically sleeps 2 and has en-suite bathroom facilities, but the setup is flexible with two double daybeds. With its full facilities and kitchen it is available to rent as self-catering accommodation.

For children there is plenty of play equipment scattered around the woodland including a massive trampoline, swings, tumble bar, flying fox and the various tree houses.

The Chalet, Holidays for All is a luxury three bedroom chalet for up to 6 guests. The Chalet is accessible for everyone to enjoy. We have recently been awarded an AA Gold 4 Star rating and a Visit Scotland 4 Star rating for self catering holidays.

The master bedroom contains two electric lifting beds, available as a twin or double room. This room features a ceiling track hoist (guests must bring their own sling) . The ensuite wet room has a shower, sink and Clos-o-mat toilet. The hoist will carry guests to the toilet or the shower where they can sit in a chair whilst showering. This room has a flat screen TV and a wardrobe for storage. If you wish to use the hoist or the shower chair please advise when booking.
Two other bedrooms have the option of being a double or twin room. Both rooms have built in storage.
The bathroom is equipped with shower above the bath, sink and toilet.
The kitchen/living room is a large area which is perfect for spending quality time together. Large windows and doors have magnificent views over the Firth of Forth, May Island, Bass Rock and the town of Dunbar. The kitchen is fully accessible. The living space has seating for 6, flat screen TV and DVD player. Access to a large decking area is from this room. Enjoy stunning sunsets from either the decking or the living area. We now have free wifi for our guests with our high speed satellite broadband!

The local town of Dunbar has many activities to suit everyone. You may wish to enjoy a walk around the harbour, go Wakeboarding at Foxlake or visit Belhaven Brewery. For younger family members East Links Country Park is great fun. Edinburgh is a short trip on the train and there is always lots to see and do in Scotland's capital.

Welcome to our 9-bedroom house in Edinburgh, an ideal getaway for families, groups, or colleagues, with space for up to 18 guests.

The house features six double beds, one king-size bed, a single bed in a separate room, and a large triple room that can sleep up to three guests with a combination of a double and a single bed.

The house is spread across two floors (ground and first), with a single flight of stairs connecting the levels. Three bedrooms are situated on the ground floor, while the remaining six bedrooms are located on the first floor.

The property offers private bathroom facilities to meet guests' needs. There is a toilet-only facility, one bathroom with dual showerheads, and a second bathroom with a luxurious shower with a jet function for a spa-like experience. Additionally, Room 3 benefits from a private ensuite for added convenience.

Guests will enjoy access to two fully equipped kitchens, providing ample cooking space for meal preparation with everything you need. The dining area, located in the sunroom at the back of the property, offers a bright and inviting space to enjoy meals together.

We are situated just south of Edinburgh, making us the ideal rural location for holiday makers looking for country pursuits or city excursions.
Whether it’s a romantic break for two, a holiday for the family or friends coming together to have a catch up, we can accommodate you in our luxury glamping pods. Take a tour of Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile, explore the Pentland Hills and the Scottish Borders or just sit back and relax at your pod.

The space
Each pod can sleep up to 6 people, with a king-size bed in the main bedroom, two small single beds in the second bedroom and the 3 seater sofa bed in the living area folds out to become a double bed. Bed linen and towels are provided for you. We have also managed to find some storeage solutions which we hope will be useful.
An open plan living space, with a small, yet fully-equipped kitchen featuring a state-of-the-art induction hob, a compact convection oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and cupboards equipped with most things you will need for your stay. We have included pots/pan, utensils, mugs, plates and glasses etc. A fold away dining table with chairs, allowing you to sit together and eat or use it as a place to read or catch up on emails. A comfy three seater sofa and extra chairs, with cosy throws and cushions create a luxurious and cosy space for relaxing after a busy day. You have double doors taking you out in to the patio with panoramic breath-taking views of the of the surrounding natural landscape and The Pentland Hills. Out on the patio you have your outdoor dining furniture, BBQ and hot tub. Use the space to relax, have your morning coffee, soak in the hot tub, enjoy alfresco dining, fire up the BBQ or enjoy the stunning sunsets. The choice is yours.

Whatever the time of year your stay will be warm and cosy. The cabins are double glazed, insulated and fully heated throughout.
The Pods are situated beside one of the fields on the farm and throughout the year you may see cattle or sheep grazing quietly during your stay.
If you want to bring your four legged friend, a well behaved dog is welcome to stay in Green Law Pod and has an added charge applied at checkout with additional rules to help with their stay.
BBQ packs of our own farm produce are available to buy with a range of burgers, sausages, bacon and steak to tempt you.
If you have an electric car, we have a charging point situated near the pods.

Guest access
Guests have use of the whole pod and patio area, car park and grass areas on the site. Short walks on the farm track are accessable.

Other things to note
It is a working farm and we will be carrying our farm duties as normal working practice. We will keep this to a minimum in the field where the pods are situated.

Please note, after every guest has checked out, we drain, clean and refill the hot tub. This means the water may not be at the peak temperature for your 4pm check in time especially during the colder winter months. We will have it on and it will be heating up however how quickly it gets to the correct temperature is largely determined by air temperatures. We expect it to be ready later in the evening on your arrival however it can take until the following morning should there be really low temperatures. We also check the hot tub chemical levels daily.
