My stylish, ground-floor apartment with an off-street parking space is located in a secluded side street with no through traffic, only 5 minutes’ walk from Fort William High Street. It is in an elevated position above the south-west end of the High Street, overlooking Loch Linnhe and the hills beyond.

It’s ideal as a base for everything from romantic getaways to outdoor exploits. It is immaculately and luxuriously decorated throughout in a modern, understated style with a subtle Scottish theme.

Bedroom:
The bedroom sleeps 2 and is sumptuously appointed around a superking bed. The bed can also be split into two singles, just let me know which you would prefer when you book. The view from the bedroom window looks across to Loch Linnhe. There is also a 22" HD TV with Freesat receiver in case you find it challenging to leave the comfort of the bed.

Living room:
The large, elegant living room has a comfortable two-seater sofa and armchair in front of an electric fire. The sofa can be converted to a double bed and has a memory-foam mattress. There is a 40" Ultra HD TV with Freesat recorder and a Blu-Ray/DVD player. A dining table and 3 chairs are set to one side. A selection of books and local guides is provided for your visit.

Kitchen:
The fully-fitted kitchen is equipped with all the crockery and equipment you are likely to need during your stay, including kettle, Nespresso pod machine, toaster, oven, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher.

Bathroom:
The modern bathroom has a double-width walk-in shower with rainfall head and a heated towel rail.

Central heating and hot water are supplied by a combi-boiler and can be set to a temperature of your choosing.

I clean and then sanitise each room against the covid-19 virus, following comprehensive checklists which I have developed specifically for my apartment.

I have carried out extensive research into the most appropriate cleaners and sanitisers. I use products certified to BS EN14476 (effective against viruses, including SARS-CoV-2 which causes the respiratory illness covid-19) and BS EN1276 (effective against bacteria).

I provide extra cleaning supplies, including the above products effective against the covid-19 virus, to allow you to clean and sanitise during your stay if you wish to.

I comply with local laws, including any additional safety or cleaning guidelines.

The space
A lot of thought has gone into making the most of the available space within the room (3.6m squared) as well as the ammenities on offer, in order that you have as practical and comfortable a stay as possible.

IMPORTANT - Please read before booking:-

Parking spaces are first come first served there are initially ample and also alternative options further along the street.

A number of stairs lead to the property, no level access is possible.

The room is not large but well spaced (3.6 metres square).

The bed is a plain double, possibly not suitable for taller / larger frames.

A sink is not available for dishes, within the cupboard you will find a dishwasher instead. Please note this is by design, due to small area available within and hygiene.

A toaster is not available on the property. Again please note, this is due both to the space available within the let and possible fire concerns.

Property details.

Upon entering the property you will have direct access to your private room from the second door on your left. Within the first door, you will find a microwave and dishwasher as well as a small food prep area, please do note no sink is available in this space. Please do note, that while the entrance hallway is a shared space, I would be the only person with access. As such it is a fairly private area though not exclusively so. To ensure your own privacy as well as for fire safety reasons, please keep your room door closed when possible.

Outside you will find chairs (Complete with ashtray) while around the side of the house is a decked area from which a table and seats are available for use Please note that the table and chairs are stored away between October and March however, they can be made available on request weather permitting. Please do note also the only area on which smoking or vaping is permitted around the property is at the chairs near to the entrance and the front door should be closed if in use.

Please note the street is one way and parking will be available on the verge at the side of the road, this area is suitable for most small to medium sized vehicles. further up the street is a carpark which allows for free parking also. Please do ensure you avoid parking in the white lined zoned area at the beginning of the street.

Other things to note
Items supplied within the room for your stay will include bottles of water, salt, pepper, sugar coffee and tea. You will find a Morrisons, Lidl and Tesco within 5-10 minutes walk from the house to allow for any further supplies you may require.

Please note, fresh bed linen will be made available after 7 consecutive nights (If required). Fresh towels are available upon request. If there is a specific issue with the linen or towels, please do advise as soon as possible as it is likely an easy fix and will also help to avoid any issues on my side going forward.

This recently refurbished two bed flat has all the mod cons you could possibly ask for. It includes dining space for morning and evening meals which could be cooked on our 4 hob and fan oven system or heat up with usage of the microwave available. After a long day touring the sights of fort william you can put your feet up in the Lounge area with our comfy couches and get ready for a night in front of the tv which has sky tv access It has an oil heating system so can be kept cosey throughout.

The space
With views over loch Linnie your accommodation is in a good spot for any photography you wish to do. The flat is all on one level and is in a prime location for tourists in fort william as it is a two minute walk from the town centre where you will see lots of traditional Scottish shops, bars and restaurants for an evening meal. Getting to and from the flat will be easy for you as there is a local service bus stop just outside the front door Whilst the main bus stop and train station are just a 5 minute walk through the town. The flat is also located right next to a spar shop which is very useful for a quick shop and also has parking.

Since the flat is a short two minute walk away from the town centre you will also be just a short journey to some of Scotland’s landmarks such as the Ben Nevis footpath which is only a 5 minute drive through the town. Glen Nevis, which is excellent for walking trails, is just a short journey in the same direction but if you wish to take a short journey out of town you could visit Nevis Range which is a very popular area for skiing/snowboarding in the winter months and mountain biking all throughout the summer. In the other direction you could head out to Glenfinnan to visit the Glenfinnan viaduct in the Harry Potter steam train which you could catch just after a 5 minute walk from your accommodation. In the town centre you will find a local weatherspoons which is the landmark for the end of the west highland way.
Just to make you aware there are steps to the main door from the main street and a path at the other end with a slight incline and a few more steps so not very suitable for access for people with any disability or difficulty in mobility
