At mini campsite De Goudsbloem on the edge of Serooskerke, a village on the beautiful, versatile Walcheren, about 2 km from Vrouwenpolder with its beach, about 5 km from the beautiful Middelburg, the lively Domburg and the beautiful monument town of Veere, we rent (among other things) caravan vB. The caravan is simple, but clean and not expensive. Use of our sanitary facilities and tourist tax of 2.05 pp are included in the price. At an additional cost, we can provide a made bed, other linens and breakfast.

The space
This caravan with awning is over 4 m long and has a double bed and a sitting area, where small children can possibly sleep on the couches. This seating area can also be folded into a second double bed.
There is a kitchenette with stove and refrigerator. Tableware, cutlery, pans, etc. are provided.
There is a TV in the caravan and outside, and in the awning, there are garden tables with chairs.
For 4 (young) adults, the caravan is actually too cramped. We also rent out larger ones.
The campsite is small and cozy. For the kids, there are play opportunities.
There is Wi-Fi, bread service and a sales corner with local products and some daily necessities. In addition, we have bicycles for rent.

In this Houseboat in Stavoren, the holiday feeling starts immediately when you cross the walkway. You'll experience the water around you on all-round. You can also go into the water from one of the swimming stairs and swim in the private mooring, in what can be seen as a natural swimming pool. The center of the Elfsteden town is nearby yet awaken by the birds, which is characteristic of this custom-made and warmly decorated Houseboat. Welcome to a vacation that's a little different.

The space
The Houseboat is custom made and lined with durable red-cedar wood. The boat is intended to be a comfortable way to celebrate holidays and suitable for 2 to 4 people.

The boat also has two (free) parking spaces and a spacious terrace on the shore (about 75 m2) equipped with a dining table and chairs. Right next to the terrace you will find a swimming plateau with swimming stairs. In case of bad weather, use can also be made of an indoor pool in Stavoren.

In order to enjoy the water, there is also a Sup present. Electric whisper boats can also be rented from Greenjoy about 50 meters away. Through us you get a 10% discount on the rental of these environmentally friendly boats. This can be done with a discount code that we provide.

Regarding the design of the Houseboat:

In the living room you will find a triple sofa, an armchair, a smart TV and a round dining table with four chairs with armrests. There is also WiFi and a sound box to stream your own music. You can watch TV via the Internet. So, for example, you can use your own Netflix account on the small Smart TV that is connected to the internet.

The kitchen has a dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer, ceramic hob with extractor hood, a water cooker and a Nespresso coffee maker. There is also a toaster and hand blender.

The Houseboot has 2 bedrooms with options to hang clothes. The bedrooms are equipped with luxury swiss-sense box spring beds with comfort topping mattresses. There is a double bed and there is a bedroom with two single beds. Bed linen is provided.

In the bathroom you will find a shower cabin, bath furniture, toilet and a towel radiator. Towels are provided. There is a hair dryer.

The boat includes terraces 13 meters long and 4.30 meters wide. At the front of the boat there is a second terrace with a swimming staircase. The terrace is equipped with four chairs with footstools and side tables to lounge up. The terrace has a fantastic south-facing location and offers sun all day. However, the terrace at the back of the boat also offers shade.

From the terrace at the front of the boat you have a view of the boats that sail into and out of the port via the characteristic drawbridge. There are 32 berths in this enclosed inland port.

The cozy city center of Stavoren with various restaurants and terrace is nearby. You just have to cross the water. A large COOP supermarket with a wide assortment is just a stone's throw away. So even the fresh rolls are close in the morning.

In the Houseboot there is a folder with information about what to do in Stavoren and surroundings. In the center there is also a tourist office to be able to tell you about the many possibilities. There, the tennis court can also be rented (and the key will be picked up) The tennis court is within walking distance of the Houseboat. The tourist office is located in the center of Stavoren near the old lock by the bridge.

In short, this Houseboot is an alternative at home in a watery spot in Friesland. Welcome to the 'Love to Float'.

If the boat is not available or you prefer to stay on than on the water then it is good to know that we also rent Villa Waterliefde in Stavoren. This luxury villa can comfortably accommodate 6 guests and is located near the houseboat.

Guest access
The entire Houseboot is exclusively intended for guests. However, there is a basement under the boat, in which we store items that are intended to facilitate the rental and which cannot be used by the guests.

Other things to note
The Houseboat is, as the name says, a boat. Having it (usually gently) on the movement of the water generally gives a relaxing feeling. However, if you are highly susceptible to seasickness, the stay is not recommended, because the Love to Float is and remains a boat.

Furthermore, the water level in the port per day can vary by one meter in height. The water in the inner harbor is in direct connection with open waterways. Depending on the strength and position of the wind, the water level can vary about one meter in height. The walkway will be steeper one time than the other time. For people with walking disabilities, despite the armrests on the walkway, especially in autumn and winter ,if the wind is often a bit harder, it can be difficult to board or disembark.

The water around the boat is natural water that can vary in depth. Despite the positive fact that the water is connected to open water, the quality of the (swimming) water cannot be guaranteed by us. Swiming is therefore at your own risk.

Each cabin has a bunk bed with comfortable mattresses and pillows, a sink with drinking water and an independent heating system. Duvets and towels are also provided.

There are 2 toilets and 2 showers on board, which you will be sharing with each other.

The fully equipped and modern kitchen is available for your use and it's located in the same room as the lounge area, where dining tables and a loungecorner invite you to share good times.

The ship is moored in the old harbor of Monnickendam and from the deck you can enjoy the view towards the lake of Gouwzee. A seating area outside is available for smoking as well as pillows and fleeceblankets for your comfort.

The settings on board are relaxed and laid back but also have a professional standard. The ship is accessible 24/7.
We get the question about seasickness in the harbor a lot: no need to wory, the ship is much to big to move substantionaly and we have never ever had seasick guests.

Come with your family or friends to enjoy a weekend nearby Amsterdam or come with your company colleagues for an outing, a convention or a fair.


Additional services:

Full supermarket service: I'll get your groceries for you prior to your arrival; Just let me know what you want. Service fee: 50 euro.

Sailing trips: it is possible to take the ship for a sail during yor stay. Ranging from just a couple of hours, a full day or even a full weekend. I need to organize a crew though so I need to know of it some weeks in advance.
The price is 250 euro per hour with a minimum of two hours. A two day trip is 1800 euro.
Possible destinations are Volendam, Marken, Hoorn and Enkhuizen, depending on wind and weather.

Other things to note
We do welcome groups that want to celebrate a bachelor party. But we do not want the ship itself to be the main party location, after some bad experiences with that in the past.
We put much of our passion into maintaining and improving our ship and want guests that appreciate this kind kind of approach.
Please be welcome to have a good time and have a drink but no parties on board.
