- "What can I say , this place is amazing . We got there at 8pm on Friday and was greeted by Annette who was so lovley , she had warmed up the hot tub for us and everything was ready. We stayed in the little red gypsy caravan and it was so cute! Perfect for a couple. Also if you’re a bigger person and worry about beds , don’t worry about it here . I was worried as I am a size 20uk lady and the bed was fine for me and my partner. The place is dog friendly ( we met a little 4 leg friend) . It was all round such an amazing experience! There are showers , toilets and a little kitchen area , everything you need really. The caravan itself was off grid which was such a lovley touch but they had an electric point for you to charge items . I would 100% recommend this place , we drove from Barnsley ( 3.5 hours) and it was worth it! It’s about a hour ish from Edinburgh so we took a trip up there too. Again I can’t recommend it enough "

We have two Safari Tents, affectionately known as Hazel and Jennifer, they are truly a home from home but without the distractions of your usual daily lives.

Being ‘off grid’ means our tents have no mains power supply so they are lit by storm lanterns, solar lights, candles and torches – creating a fantastic memorable experience for the children or truly romantic atmosphere for couples who want to unwind.
Although the tents are off grid, we do have power points in our reception building a short distance away to charge mobile telephones and plug in the all important hair dryers and straighteners.
Our aim is to provide an ‘away from technology’ experience for families, allowing the art of conversation to be reinvigorated! Both tents have board games provided and we encourage relaxation, reading and enjoying the great outdoors for both children and adults alike.
Your escape to our Luxury Safari Tents will ensure a return to good old fashioned family values where the focus is on nature, the countryside and (most importantly) the real enjoyment of just being together. So whether you’re a family looking for a camping experience with a difference or a couple looking for a peaceful getaway our Safari Tents are waiting for you.

If you fancy a staycation that offers something a little different, then you'll love this unique and romantic escape nestled among nature.

There are a number of walking trails around to lead you off into the beautiful surroundings, whether it be by foot, cycle, car or kayak. Otherwise some of Scotland's top national parks, historic monuments, golf courses, distilleries and restaurants are a short distance away. And the centre of Glasgow sits less than 7 miles away with regular bus services.

The whole of the boat is available for guests to enjoy as well as the jetty at the side and front of the boat.

Feel free to crank the bbq at the water's edge and sit back and relax. The bow and roof also make for great dinning and relaxation areas out in the sunshine. If you’d rather be snuggled up inside, then the Victorian wood burner turns Primrose into a cosy wee haven. There is a smart TV with a number of apps, such as Netflix, Amazon, I-players, YouTube, etc and board games to pass the time by, so pull out the sofa bed and get even more comfortable.

Guests have full access to the boat, jetty and free car park.

The surrounding towns and villages have ample amenities to offer from cafes, bakeries, restaurants, shops, etc. But if you don't want to stray too far, then the local retail park is only a 10 minutes walk from Primrose.

The boat is 23 minutes by car from Glasgow Airport or 46 minutes from Edinburgh Airport. 17 minutes from Glasgow Central Station by car or 1 hour and 6 minutes from Edinburgh Waverley Station. Glasgow City Centre is less than 7 miles away and can be reached via bus. There are regular bus services that can take you into the heart of Scotland.

Be advised that Primrose is a quirky and unique staycation for the adventurous type looking to experience life on the canal. Due to the boat’s naturally narrow design, the bed is a small double that tapers at one end to fit the shape of the stern. There is also a double pull-out sofa available for additional sleeping space.

Please note that the shower room is compact, measuring approximately 53.5 cm in width and 175 cm in height. The toilet area is also quite narrow and may feel snug for some guests, particularly those who are 6 feet tall or above, or who typically wear clothing above a UK size 14. The toilet is eco-friendly and waterless, designed to minimise environmental impact while still being functional and hygienic.

Due to the snug nature of the boat, it can comfortably accommodate up to 2 adults only and a small furry friend. Unfortunately, it is not suitable for more than 2 adults.

I wanted to book a peaceful stay away for my husband's birthday, with our two young boys (1 and 5 years old) and this didn't disappoint. Surrounded by the calm, quiet and serene canals of Glasgow, with nature in abundance, this stay was blissful. The Sileby Primrose itself is small but perfectly formed; with all the amenities you could possibly need for a short break away. On top of that, Hailey was the perfect host - all communication was speedy, thorough and helpful; the boat was spotless when we arrived; Hailey had even left us a bottle of prosecco and a little sign saying Happy Birthday for my husband! I would love to return with just the husband in the middle of summer, to make the most of the BBQ...it would make the perfect romantic getaway. I can't recommend more highly!"

She is 60 feet by 11 feet with 6 feet 4 inch in headroom, she can sleep up to 6 adults and 2 children under 10 years. The Four Sisters Boatel has been awarded by Visit Scotland a 4 star luxury classification and grading.

Located in the very heart of Edinburgh City Centre and a first for Scotland, The Four Sisters Boatel is within walking distance of the delights Edinburgh has to offer only 10 - 15 minutes to the Grassmarket, The Royal Mile and The West End. The Four Sisters Boatel is the ideal base for your stay.

The accommodation comprises of 2 stylish double cabins, a set of children's bunk beds recessed in the hallway and a double sofa bed in the lounge for extra guests. There is also a modern fully equipped galley kitchen with all mod conveniences expected with a spacious lounge area. On board you will also have access to a private mooring and two outdoor deck areas perfect for relaxing. All guests also have access to on land facilities that include clothes washing facilities (at an extra cost) as well as shower and toilet facilities.

Although we try to make our boats as close to being like you are in an on land property there are some things that work slightly different to usual. As we live so close with nature we try to take care of our environment and cause as little impact as possible to the local ecosystem and therefore we are also an eco friendly business. You will find our water and waste systems work in a slightly different way as well as our heating and power sources. This will not impact your stay but is worth baring in mind that there may be an extra switch or button to press!

Space on board s limited and at maximum capacity the boat may feel a little cramped. We therefore recommend bringing soft foldable luggage.

We do not provide any parking but can recommend local parking facilities nearby.

We have 4 Luxury Suites on our Barge that sits at the Quayside in the centre of Tarbert all suites have a wonderful view of the Harbour and Marina a very unique and quirky experience with plenty parking

- "We enjoyed our stay very much , room was spotless and comfy" - "Total lack of information on facilities (was it self catering, or some room service etc). No information on check in procedure. Brief reply to one request re availability of hotels for dinner then 2 my messages re the check in and facilities totally ignored by “host”. On arrival towo mobile numbers stuck on door “for emergencies etc) but no indication of whether guests should use them. When I did phone I got a lovely helpful housekeeper advising of process. We had not been notified of a room allocation though other guests using different web sites had been given that detail on booking..everyone complains of poor communication). You sent regular emails including ones saying check in information “should be available but none had been lodged with you so to contact host direct” ….I did that but never got a reply. The barge is a great idea, tied to the quay in town but is badly in need of some TLC re external,painting, window sealant - Damp smell in our canin and drain smell in our en-suite. Nice bathroom but shower very poor pressure and flow. Basic tea and coffee and making facilities, hair dryer and tv (only terrestrial channels). Wifi was awful and eventually non existent unless standing at the router……as router is virtually at the stern and our room was in the bow there was no chance of a decent signal and you certainly could not stream tv programmes on apps very successfully……not bad Sunday afternoon but non existent on Sunday night or Monday, possible due to other guests having arrived. It is advertised as a 5* facility, luxury accommodation it is not and I would rate it 3*. It is the quirkiness of the accommodation that is the selling point and Tarbert itself which is a delightful fishing town with several really good sea food restaurants and beautiful places to visit on day tours. Not good value yet we did enjoy our stay and the friendliness of the housekeeper helped overcome the lack of icommunication from the manager…….other rental hosts much more informative and helpful in my experience. Would use it again as great location and clean but would not rush do recommend. Maybe it is just because I am a “townie” but lack of security bothered me and I would have felt vulnerable in the summer months when Yarbert is busy with a lot of visitors. You were expected to leave main entrance locked even though cabin keys opened and closed it. Secure entry pads of some sort would have been beneficial and most properties use key safes or “meet greet” ."

`Haven` is a spectacular lodge located in Ardlui, Loch Lomond. The lodge is affiliated with Loch lomond`s premier Wakeboarding School - `Loch Lomond Wakeboard` which is only a few minutes walk away. The school offers an array of water sports right on your door step & can be booked using our QR code.

The lodge itself benefits from 3 bedrooms sleeping 6 and a sofa bed within the lounge to allow for 7 guests. Additionally there are 2 bathrooms, 1 with a shower and a fully equipped kitchen. This is a lovely boating experience based on a little private marina only a few miles from Rothesay The only town on the beautiful Island of Bute which is only a short ferry trip across the river Clyde and an hours drive from Glasgow. Please note, this is at a static beeth at marina only . Not a charter to drive.
The village of Portbannantyne has a small shop - post office , a lovely local pub and a lovely Biestro - all within a few minutes walk of the Marina.
The Island has a wealth of history with a castle located in the centre of the town which boasts a moat. Mount Stuart house which was the seat home of the Stuarts of Bute .
Many beautiful beaches and plenty of lovely walks .
You would not be disappointed if you’ve never visited the island previously or like many returning doon the watter!

At Red Deer Village Holiday Park we have a number of chalets available to hire throughout the year. This spacious self-catering accommodation provides an excellent base for families looking to holiday near Glasgow. They contain all the home comforts you would expect from a modern and well-maintained holiday park. Please note, pictures shown are of several different chalet layout options.

Our chalets are finished to a high standard with modern fixtures, fittings and soft furnishings. The spacious living rooms contain a 3-piece suite with reclining leather chair for your comfort as well as a flat screen TV. The kitchens are equipped with everything you will need to cook up a storm, including a large fridge freezer, cutlery, utensils and crockery.

We have a selection of two and three bedroom chalets with the largest accommodating up to 6 people. All of the bedrooms contain a TV and bed linen is provided. We kindly ask that you bring your own towels.

Our chalets are a great option for holiday makers, those between house moves and teams of contractors or construction workers with jobs in Glasgow or the wider area. All our chalets are available to rent for longer periods of time and benefit from secure parking in a gated community with CCTV.

Guests can make use of our laundry facility with washers and dryers. This is a convenient option when staying away from home.

Red Deer Village Holiday Park is situated in the quiet village of Stepps, just 5 miles north east of Glasgow. We are just a short walk from a train station that has direct transport links into the city centre. A coastal, and countryside, escape. Where you can come to relax and “coorie in” with your family and friends.
We are situated on a small quiet caravan park. The nearest small shop is approximately 3 miles away in St. Cyrus. The large town of Montrose, is only 7 miles with an abundance of shopping outlets, including Aldi, Lidl and tesco.
You can take a leisurely walk, approximately 15/20 mins down to the coast and tangle ha beach. It’s a small rocky beach. Beautiful St Cyrus beach is v close .

The space
We have a static caravan, with 3 bedrooms. One double bedroom, 2 twin bedrooms. One of which is currently configured as a double. Two small singles put together with a double memory foam mattress topper. But can be set up as a twin.

All single beds are standard static caravan sizes. Slimmer than standard single beds. They are 75cm wide. Standard single bed length.

The 3rd (twin) bedroom just has room for the 2 beds and bedside table. (See photographs)




The main bathroom is a shower room. Shower cabinet, basin and toilet. It can be accessed via main double bedroom, and by the hall. So can be locked to make an en-suite if required . Shampoo and liquid soap provided.

There is a separate toilet and small was hand basin.

The kitchen comes with a gas cooker and hob. Microwave, and an under the counter fridge, with a small ice box.

Full crockery, pans, utensils, glassware, kettle, toaster, cafetière available. Washing up liquid provided.

All linen, towels, kitchen towels provided.

Beds will be made up with sheets, duvets and pillows.

Hairdryer, iron and ironing board provided.

Guest access
All areas, including outside shed. This provides a hanging rail for wetsuits, wet jackets etc.
