Not really, but probably a better alternative to a crowded hostel & likely the cheapest per night rate in Wanaka. Please note the listing and price ( $60-70 ) is only for 1 guest. Toilet access is via the main house. GUESTS MUST HAVE GOOD REVIEW. Tell me a little something about yourself and your plans here in Wanaka. I DO NOT CHARGE CLEANING FEE. PLEASE Manage your expectations as this is only meant as a sleeping accomodation.
The space
The Caravan is the one being rented out. Toilet facility via the main house. NO cooking, laundry within the property. Off-street parking is no problem and is free. I am 700 meters from the lake and there are places to hike, bike, play tennis and a skate park. Depending on availability, I might be able to lend you a bicycle for you to get to town at your leisure. Furthermore, there is a dairy ( convenience store ) 5-7 minutes walk from my place if you are feeling a bit pekish. It's open from 8am to 8pm.
Guest access
Guest can access full toilet facility from main house. There is also the park public toilet ( clean) only 3 minutes walk.
Sorry NO cooking and laundry in the property. AGAIN, toilet access only in house. Be aware that the main house has security cameras. No camera in caravan or vicinity other than driveway. However, once you enter the main house, the camera and security door may automatically log entry. So be aware as this is part of the arrangement you will need to accept.
Other things to note
Caravan includes linens, electric blanket, space heater, electric kettle. Please TURN OFF ALL POWER when leaving the premises. Do not leave any charging device unattended. Closet has a key but the neighbourhood is very safe and quiet.

* The lockbox is attached to the caravan door handle
* The entire half acre is for guests use, there is a seat up
the bank to sit with a coffee or wine to take in the
lovely mountain views, a family of Quail and rabbits
live on this land also, you will see rabbit warrens on
the bank.
There is a private entrance/exit opposite the caravan
for the sole use of guests.
