I’d suggest packing extra towels and comfy blankets if you like to cuddle up outside and watch the waves at night. It gets cooler and I didn’t want to drag their linens outside. Previous tenants also leave behind spices and cooking oil and coffee so maybe check what’s there before heading to the store and leave behind non perishables to pass the love along. - "Please BEWARE when dealing with the owner. We rented this location, contacted the owner for directions but Indicated he was not available till 6:30. By this time it was already dark. He agreed to meet at a bakery near the house so we began to drive over. It was at this point we realized it was very high up in the mountains. Not only is it very far from everything, driving in the dark up there was unsettling. We eventually met up with the owner and he stated the house was another 5 minutes away. My husband, who is in law enforcement found this to very strange and made the decision to immediately cancel. I explained to the owner that our car was overheating and the location was quite far. He responded by saying, “I understand it’s far, don’t worry. When Expedia submits the case I will immediately return your money.” Today we were advised by Expedia he declined to return the money. I would have preferred he just tell us he was not returning the money. As stated before, the whole situation seemed out of the norm for us. We have never come across something g such as this, and we travel quite a bit. Not providing the address was an immediate red flag. I would absolutely stay away from this one!"

The house was very clean and the air conditioners work well. Access to the beach is through an open air downstairs room with a shower right by the back door, which makes it possible to keep sand out of the house, even with the kids running in and out all day. Washer and dryer on the property means you can pack light. A kitchen allowed us to save money by preparing meals at home. I wish we could have stayed a full week!"

We are on the Atlantic side so you get to spot whales during the winter months, surf the world renowned Table Rock beach, or peacefully walk the beach-line and collect loads of Sea Glass. Back-up generator power and water cistern on site as well. Short distance to stores, open air bars and restaurants and the town of Aguada. There are two assigned parking spaces. The complex sits right on the beach where you can walk the Aguada's pristine unspoiled beaches. We are located in a local rural neighborhood, there are roosters in the area that do get up early and will do their best to make sure you are up early as well. Table Rock is 9 miles from Rincon’s famed beaches and 12mi. to the Aguadilla Airport (BQN) and in between various restaurants.
We do have Wyze Camera that you will see on the kitchen table when you arrive to the condominium. This is only for our security WHEN THE UNIT IS NOT RENTED. The camera will be completely off during your entire stay. Please feel free to unplug the camera and/or cover the camera while you are staying at our place if you would prefer.

This property is located on Camino Playa where there is a strip of local bar/restaurants withing walking distance. You could also take photos with the art pieces located along the coast from the "Guardianes de la Costa of Aguada Crasftmans" (Guardian of the Coast).

From the gate to the right at about a 10 minute walk from the house there is the Puerta del Descubrimiento plaza, where you could take a free trolley ride to town center, supermarkets, etc. The Trolley runs Monday thru Friday from 7:00am to 3:00pm. No service on weekends. On Saturdays afternoon there is a Craftsman's shop where you could buy hand made souvenirs, specialty candy, breads and more.

To the left of the gate , at walking distance there is Pico Piedra beach with gazebos, showers, bathrooms, etc.

To either side from the gate you will find bar, restaurants, Tip Top Acai bowls and a lot more.

GETTING AROUND

A car is necessary to explore Aguada and its beaches. The Aguada Ocean Club building has six apartments, but only five parking spaces available on a first-come, first-served basis. If all spaces are full, you can park across the street, ensuring not to block any vehicles.

LOCATION

Aguada shares a coastline with Aguadilla and Rincón, known for stunning beaches. Highlights include:
Balneario Pico de Piedra (Aguada): Ideal for swimming and family outings.

Table Rock Beach (Aguada): This one is located steps from the building but is more of a surfers' beach with waves for experienced surfers only.

Rompeolas and Crashboat Beach (Aguadilla): Offers some of the clearest water along the northwest coast of Puerto Rico, with gorgeous shades of turquoise. - 20 minutes away

Sandy and Maria’s Beach (Rincón): These are a favorite among the surfers, where several surfing instructors take visitors to learn to surf. You can rent surfing equipment on site. - 25 minutes away.

Domes Beach:(Rincón): Also known as Lighthouse Beach. Great surfing action all year, a popular spot to watch the sunset and for loungers wishing to enjoy the sound of the waves. - 25 minutes away.

- Check-In: Begins at 4:00 PM
- Check-Out: Until 11:00 AM
- Max Occupancy: No more than 4 adults/children allowed at any time. This includes visitors. Maximum occupancy is strictly enforced, and exceeding it may result in immediate cancellation of booking or being expelled from the property.
- NO SMOKING: $500 fee for violations. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the apartment, balcony, and building common areas.
- NO PETS: No pets are allowed at any time. There is a $300 fine for violations and will need to leave the unit.
- Quiet Hours: 10 PM to 8 AM. No parties or loud activities.
All bookings are contingent on signing a short-term rental agreement sent via email. It must be signed within 48 hours of booking or before entering the property, whichever happens first.

The ocean views from the house are spectacular, the sunset amazing. The sound of the waves during the night and the quiet mornings make this house ideal for a restful vacation. Aguada is relatively undeveloped, no chain hotels on the strip. Lots of local Bars and Restuarant near the house. Public beach is 3 mins. and Rincon is a 15 mins. drive.
The space
Enclosed half acre of ocean front property. The house is 52 years old and still has original windows, doors, cabinet and tiles. A 2nd story was added in 2014 and has two bedrooms with private bathrooms. A/C in all the bedrooms. The house has a unique layout, the second floor has two en-suites with separate entrance. The lower level has one bedroom, bathroom and the kitchen. Living and dining rooms are open-air.

El Sonido del Rio is a 5000 sq. ft. private home with 4 bedrooms on an acre of land. It has its own private access and virtually no neighbors. The 40’ long pool, pool table, fusbol table and life size connect 4 make it the perfect tropical getaway for the whole family! It is situated on the river dividing Aguada from Rincon and is only 10 minutes away from the beaches. Accommodating up to 14 people, this home is the perfect spot for a family vacation. If you decide to venture into the surrounding areas you will find interesting side trips like the Gozalandia Waterfalls, the Rio Camuy Cave Park, Cabo Rojo's salt flats and the biologically wondrous Phosphorescent Bay in Lajas.Golfing and bowling is available 20 minutes north in Aguadilla and casino gambling or a quick visit to the trampoline park for those rainy days is 30 minutes south in Mayaguez.

The property itself is located in a quiet, safe and family oriented neighborhood about 1 minute off of the PR-414 in Aguada. It is minutes away from local bakeries, convenience stores, supermarkets, fast food (and real food) restaurants and a gas station. Aguadilla Airport (BQN) is 35-45 minutes away and San Juan Airport (SJU) is about 2-2.5 hours east.

The common areas were designed with open-air living in mind and are furnished with large windows, screen doors, ceiling and floor fans so one can truly appreciate the beauty and tranquility of this hidden Caribbean gem. All of the bedrooms are equipped with brand new Samsung AC units.

Continently located 10 minutes to town for anything we needed. Host was great at communicating and providing recommendations. We did lose power the first night (along with 90% of the island) but thankfully the property has a generator that powers almost everything at the place, and the host was prompt to keep it going with fuel and checking on us frequently. Would stay again!"
