Just 45 minutes drive you have the historic walled fortress city of Old San Juan. The tropical mountain El Yunque Rainforest and the beautiful Surfing Luquillo Beach(La Pared) is a 40 minutes drive. The pool was SUPER nice to have, especially since we were going through a heat wave. There were restaurants and a National Reserve very close by that we also enjoyed. We took time to visit a coffee plantation, Hacienda Muñoz, that was about 35 minutes away. It was a very beautiful and interesting place. GETTING HERE
From the San Juan Airport, you can rent a car or take a shuttle van approximately one hour to Palmas del Mar. While you're here, golf carts are the popular mode of transport, and can be rented when you arrive.

If we had known this in advance we would probably have picked a different location on the island. That being said, the unit itself is wonderful and very comfortable for 7-8 people."
