There is no Uber in this city so you would HAVE to rent a car or have transportation. Uber will bring you from the airport but they do not operate outside of San Juan really. I liked the seclusion from the noise of the city and easy access to the highway and nearby beach. Would definitely stay there again. "

- "The view, the view, the VIEW! Could not get enough of it. Fernando and Margarita are wonderful hosts. Very easy to reach and quick to respond to our questions. The house had everything we needed. The weather was very hot during our stay so we really appreciated the excellent air conditioning in the bedrooms. The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of dishes, pots/pans, utensils. Cabinet is loaded with spices which was great as we like our spices! We really enjoyed the downstairs kitchen with grill. Mar Chiquita beach is only a 2 minute drive. Other public beaches are not too far away. Plenty of places to shop and eat nearby as well. The central location made it especially convenient for us venture out to both ends of the island. It was wonderful to be able to end our busy days back at Villa Illusion where we could relax, enjoy the pool, and listen to the ocean sounds. I love the lush landscapes, the coastal vistas, the perfect weather. I love to go swimming after work before going to dinner. Mar Chiquita makes me feel completely re-energized.

- "I've visited Puerto Rico many times but never this section of the island. The Puerto Rican vibe here is strong and you feel like a local more than a tourist. The nearly private beach and cozy digs made this a truly enjoyable and relaxing trip. We rented a car and took day trips and enjoyed this view every day. Amazing comfort and welcoming surroundings in this great beachfront condo. Private balcony overlooks the sand and water PLUS you have a private terrace with direct access to the beach. Fully-equipped condo that requires you only drop off your bags and get out and have fun. Private, gated, intimate complex of only 20 units. The famous Mar Chiquita Beach is a few minute walk down the beach. Be sure you watch our video for a birds-eye view!

- "Took a nice long trip to P.R. We stayed at the condo for 10 days. Access to the property, pool and beach is super easy. The views of the beach are absolutely amazing! The condo is spacious, well decorated and very comfortable. Mar Chiquita Beach is a short 5 minute walk and a beautiful view. Be advised the water is somewhat rough, lots of waves and currents at both the condo beach and Mar Chiquita. And, there is a little hidden cave right across from the entrance to the condos-your own mini cavern. Condo: needs more plates, bowls and silverware. There was only a set of 4 and they did not match so we had to clean them constantly. You can get a set at Walmart (Corningware for inexpensive addition). They are nice and durable. More cups would be better too. The unit had sufficient amount of baking and cookware. A/C units functioned very well, kept us cool. The property Manager, Alejandro was most helpful in providing directions to the property. It is a gated complex with security guard so we felt very safe. There is local grocery store just a 5 minute drive from the condo. Or, Walmart is a short distance away for anything you might need (Subway, Burger King and local fruit stands nearby). This is a lovely getaway and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a safe, quiet, and majestic view worthy experience."
