- "Please BEWARE when dealing with the owner. We rented this location, contacted the owner for directions but Indicated he was not available till 6:30. By this time it was already dark. He agreed to meet at a bakery near the house so we began to drive over. It was at this point we realized it was very high up in the mountains. Not only is it very far from everything, driving in the dark up there was unsettling. We eventually met up with the owner and he stated the house was another 5 minutes away. My husband, who is in law enforcement found this to very strange and made the decision to immediately cancel. I explained to the owner that our car was overheating and the location was quite far. He responded by saying, “I understand it’s far, don’t worry. When Expedia submits the case I will immediately return your money.” Today we were advised by Expedia he declined to return the money. I would have preferred he just tell us he was not returning the money. As stated before, the whole situation seemed out of the norm for us. We have never come across something g such as this, and we travel quite a bit. Not providing the address was an immediate red flag. I would absolutely stay away from this one!"

This property is located on Camino Playa where there is a strip of local bar/restaurants withing walking distance. You could also take photos with the art pieces located along the coast from the "Guardianes de la Costa of Aguada Crasftmans" (Guardian of the Coast).

From the gate to the right at about a 10 minute walk from the house there is the Puerta del Descubrimiento plaza, where you could take a free trolley ride to town center, supermarkets, etc. The Trolley runs Monday thru Friday from 7:00am to 3:00pm. No service on weekends. On Saturdays afternoon there is a Craftsman's shop where you could buy hand made souvenirs, specialty candy, breads and more.

To the left of the gate , at walking distance there is Pico Piedra beach with gazebos, showers, bathrooms, etc.

To either side from the gate you will find bar, restaurants, Tip Top Acai bowls and a lot more.

Everything you could possibly need was provided for us in the apartment. Miggie had waters already in the fridge getting cold for us. We were comfortable and felt at home. Both rooms are equipped with air conditioning to ensure a comfortable night’s sleep. A full-sized bathroom, conveniently located in the hallway, is shared between the bedrooms.

GETTING AROUND

A car is necessary to explore Aguada and its beaches. The Aguada Ocean Club building has six apartments, but only five parking spaces available on a first-come, first-served basis. If all spaces are full, you can park across the street, ensuring not to block any vehicles.

Aguada shares a coastline with Aguadilla and Rincón, known for stunning beaches. Highlights include:

Balneario Pico de Piedra (Aguada): Ideal for swimming and family outings.

Table Rock Beach (Aguada): This one is located steps from the building but is more of a surfers' beach with waves for experienced surfers only.

Rompeolas and Crashboat Beach (Aguadilla): Offers some of the clearest water along the northwest coast of Puerto Rico, with gorgeous shades of turquoise. - 20 minutes away

Sandy and Maria’s Beach (Rincón): These are a favorite among the surfers, where several surfing instructors take visitors to learn to surf. You can rent surfing equipment on site. - 25 minutes away.

Domes Beach:(Rincón): Also known as Lighthouse Beach. Great surfing action all year, a popular spot to watch the sunset and for loungers wishing to enjoy the sound of the waves. - 25 minutes away.

HOUSE RULES

- Check-In: Begins at 4:00 PM
- Check-Out: Until 11:00 AM
- Max Occupancy: No more than 4 adults/children allowed at any time. This includes visitors. Maximum occupancy is strictly enforced, and exceeding it may result in immediate cancellation of booking or being expelled from the property.
- NO SMOKING: $500 fee for violations. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the apartment, balcony, and building common areas.
- NO PETS: No pets are allowed at any time. There is a $300 fine for violations and will need to leave the unit.
- Quiet Hours: 10 PM to 8 AM. No parties or loud activities.
All bookings are contingent on signing a short-term rental agreement sent via email. It must be signed within 48 hours of booking or before entering the property, whichever happens first.
- Towels and Linens: Must be used appropriately. Do not use towels to clean up any mess; stained towels/linens will be charged. Stained items will incur charges.
- Subletting: Not allowed.
- Balcony Use: No hanging towels from the balcony or windows.

Pico de Piedras (BC's) -The Aguada public beach, from the 115 south, take a right at Balneario after passing through Aguada, public parking and rest rooms. An exposed beach and reef break that has consistent surf and can work at any time of the year. Offshore winds blow from the southeast. The ideal swell angle is from the north. There are left and right breaking reefs. The quality of the surf isn't affected by the tide.

Downtown Aguada is 5 min away and Downtown Rincon is only 15 Minutes away by car.

There are parking spaces for 2 vehicles, and there is plenty of outside parking as well. There is also a separate entrance to each unit providing privacy for each family who intends to visit!
