- "The apartment was beautiful, with terraces and ocean views. They were a few things, though that were disappointing. The light in the kitchen was burned out, the battery in the remote control for the ceiling fan was dead so we couldn’t turn the fan on & there was an abysmal water pressure in the shower. There was plenty of water pressure in the kitchen, I believe it was just bad showerheads. My biggest complaint is that the lobby was under construction, and the elevator was not working. I was not told that there would not be an operating elevator. I am handicapped and it was a struggle for me to go up 4 flights of stairs. Local natural wonders such as the Cueva Ventana, Camuy Caverns, Cueva del Indio, and the Tanama River are just a short drive away.

You can find endless options for dining near the apartment, as well as shopping and entertainment. The Barceloneta Outlets are a short drive away, while for those looking for a bit more luxury, Plaza las Americas and The Mall of San Juan are approximately one hour away). Food trucks park right outside the complex from Thursday through Sunday and local cafes, sandwich shops, and convenience stores are 5 minutes away. The local supermarket is 10 minutes away and Walmart and Starbucks are 20 minutes away. Local coffee shops also abound but you can enjoy a cappuccino right at home from our fully stocked coffee bar equipped with a Nespresso Pixie. The kitchen is also fully stocked with anything you could need to prepare a home-cooked meal, including a Weber grill on the rooftop, a tabletop fire pit for making smores, and a fondue maker.

The living room has a smart tv and an oversized comfy couch with perfect beach and pool views as does the dining area. All three bedrooms have queen size beds and ample closet space. The master bedroom includes an ensuite and has beach and pool views and the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms have views of the reserve. The second bathroom is right outside of bedrooms 2 and 3. All linens and bath and beach towels are provided and a washer /dryer is available in the apartment.

The apartment is minutes from Routes 2 and 22 which are the gateways to the island and all its wonders. - "First I want to say I am so grateful I had such a sweet, attentive, prompt, and helpful host.I will be honest to other travelers that the neighborhood itself may seem a bit run down. This house and a couple houses across the road are definitely the nicest on the block, but it was very quiet, very safe, and the neighbors on the street are super friendly and kind.Once you are inside, it’s a super cozy and comfortable space. The bed is crazy comfortable compared to a couple other places we’ve stayed in PR. The shower actually gets warm, the couple other places didn’t really have warm water. There’s an awesome gate on the front patio area which was wonderful bc I had a small dog. I could sit out front and let her roam around safely, sniff other dogs passing, and stare at roosters.My boyfriend and my favorite beach is maybe a 5 minute drive away. There’s an adorable cafe called Simple about 5 minutes down the road as well, with many other awesome restaurants within 20 minute or less driving distance.Most of which allowed us to bring our small dog in. My boyfriend and I are also skydivers and this was conveniently located less than 20 minutes away from Skydive Puerto Rico. The beach close by is where skydivers will occasionally land.I was mostly impressed by how the host reacted to an unanticipated power outage. Something no one can really control. We got very frustrated at one point, but she kept communicating with us and the power company very well. It all worked out."

We the owners occupy the 2nd floor. We do have animals. We have horses and chickens and offer horse rides seasonally and also provide fresh eggs if you wish. We also have front and rear cameras for security purposes.

- "The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. They live on the second floor and if we had any questions or needs, were very communicative and accessible through the app or text. The home is beautiful! Outside there is a beautiful mural and in the backyard you will find a paradise complete with heated pool, gazebo with seating area and lighting, beautiful trees such as avocado and more. There are chickens on sight and hosts left us fresh eggs and if we wanted more, this was available as well. Everything was stress free and complete with everything a family would need. Towels, shampoo, blankets, everything needed to cook, stay in or go out etc. were available to us. We went for a short stay to celebrate our son’s 16th birthday. The hosts decorated for him and provided local bakery items, snacks etc. The bedrooms are beautiful and for our family of 4, was the perfect size. The rules and expectations set in place were very reasonable and the information provided by the hosts included local attractions, restaurants etc and we utilized this so much, as this time visiting the island, we went a different route and explored the beautiful hidden treasures it possesses that even our family who have lived on the island for generations, did not know about. This made our tripSo special and one we will never forget. Some of our family visited us while there and the hosts were very kind and helpful when we had embarrassing car trouble and some hiccups. "

Our unit is best classified as a guest house as it is a blocked off unit from the main home. The entrance will be the side gate, parking will be on the street right in front of the side gate that you enter into.

Gate entrance: Please use the gate key in the lockbox.

Please Read Rules and information:

No smoking, no vaping/e cigarettes or anything like it inside the unit and inside the gates.

This is an energy Efficient Unit, please turn off ac and lights when you leave the unit.

Lock everything when you leave the unit.

Noise must be reasonable at all times, if it becomes excessive your reservation may be canceled and non refundable

Any police involvement is grounds for canceling your reservation and non refundable.

No drugs, drug use or synthetic drugs on property.

No illegal activity

Do not move the furniture without permission.

Do no remove extra toiletries, linens, cleaning supplies etc as those are for our cleaning team. We will request a $250 penalty if you do this.

Do not remove any locks from the unit, or any of the gated areas, if any locks are removed there will be a $500 penalty.

Please send the ID of whomever is booking and the first and last names of each guest.

Do not flush too much tissue or any feminine products, paper towels, etc. If you create an issue with the toilet, you will be charged all fees associated with fixing the problem or installing a new one.

No grilling on the property

No third party booking

No events without permission as these need screening and an additional fee. We will refer you to a concierge service for events.

This is an island and whiles our town of Arecibo is quieter than the Metro areas, outside may still get noisy from time to time.

The home is maintained regularly however because it is an island, you may see a bug here and there. That is normal! We will not refund for this.

You are responsible for your car, please park in our designated parking area and keep your car locked.

Do not leave food out!

No parties

We are not responsible for anything you forget, we will try to work with you but expect the cleaning crew to throw away things that are left behind. If you left any phones or electronics we will try to get them to you if the cleaning crew found it but again we are not responsible if we cannot get it back to you. So please make sure to do a final walk through!

Keep the gate to your unit locked.

Return the keys to the lockbox when checking out and lock your front door or we will charge you a $500 penalty fee.

Small material damages or stained linen can be resolved properly and timely if you let us know right away; we will send the cost to fix or replace the issue via the resolution center.

Garbage must be taken out daily or it will create maggots due to the heat on the island.

Put the garbage bin right outside your gate when checking out.

Hot water comes and goes (that is normal). We will not refund for this.
Parts of the island may lose electricity for a few hours or even a day. This is normal, we will not refund for this. We supply alternate light sources such as lanterns or candles.

Remember to turn off the gas stove or possibly face having to pay hefty penalties as well as a report to the police.

Expect your hosts to respond to inquiries within 24 hrs. We will try to get to you sooner if possible.

No more than 5 guests at a time (fee of $50 per guest per night plus possibly canceling your reservation may be applied for going over our guest limit (cancelation will not include a refund).

Please bring an air mattress and or extra linen for over 2-4 guests.

Please put everything back where you found it.

Clean your own dishes.

Put all dirty linen in the Basket in the bathroom Closet.

If most lights and outlets are in use, it may cause the ceiling light to occasionally flicker (just turn it off and on).

We recommended packing a battery pack for your devices in case of an emergency.

The gardening in front of the guest suite is usually maintained but at times our gardener may get a bit busy etc and our plants may be in need of some extra tlc, please note that gardening has been scheduled and will be taking place as soon as possible. We will not refund for this.

Please keep noise outside to a minimum to prevent the neighbors from complaining.

Walking during the daytime is usually safe but always be aware and prepared (bring water , your phone, charger, walking shoes, wasp spray if possible, fanny pack vs purse if possible). Always be vigilant.

Always check the weather and beaches that you want to visit. Some beaches have strong tides and undercurrents. You need to be able to know when it is safe to enter in the water and when it's not (including just putting your feet in).

We are a 45-55 min commute from the SJU airport on normal days and evenings.

Private transport, taxi or rental car are highly recommended when visiting our unit as uber tends to favor the Metro areas for now. If you need private transportation please feel free to reach out and we will refer you to a concierge service that can get you set up for your stay!

No pets! A $500+ fee will be accessed.

We do have a stove and cooking utensils, you need to use the lighter to light the stove once you turn it on. Please put the lighter back after use! Please be aware that the stove is not always on, in that case we do have a microwave. We offer tea and Coffee for you to make.

Please note we offer street parking directly on the side of the unit (with outdoor cameras). Please note the hot water fluctuates, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't we may be able to supply solar shower bags if this becomes an inconvenience.
