You will see a garage in the pictures, but the garage is closed off and not accessible during your stay. There is a driveway to park your vehicle and plenty of free street parking as well.

The home is in downtown Lincoln so please understand that it is not a completely quiet home 24/7. We are off the main strip so not as busy as other places, but you may hear some traffic and there is also a train that runs through Lincoln. The train will sound its horn periodically throughout the day and we want to be transparent that you will most likely experience that. The benefit of being so close to downtown is being within walking distance all that Lincoln has to offer. Some of our favorite places are below:

Opening the door into a large, old wooden staircase, we ascended into a “big kids” paradise. Massive kitchen with enough space for multiple families, a theatre sized projector screen supported by a surround sound system, a gigantic dining room table for games, and of course, the downstairs arcade! Rooms were spacious and comfortable, and all plumbing/appliances worked perfectly. We came down for a guys weekend, and quickly realized one weekend was not enough to fully absorb all this location had to offer. This is one of the most unique and unforgettable spots in the Midwest, and I am hopeful to return in the future! Kudos to John for setting up such an awesome experience!"

Lincoln’s loft speakeasy suite is a beautifully renovated street level apartment in downtown Lincoln Illinois that was completed in April 2019. With a hidden entrance behind a bookcase entry, Lincoln’s loft Speakeasy Suite is an experience in itself. This historically renovated space is a prime location for entertaining your group downtown. This unit has not only a bedroom downstairs with a queen size bed, but a loft equipped with 2 queen sized beds up the spiral staircase.

This is an older building, so it does smell musty when you first go in, but it does dissipate after a while. Located right in the middle of town." - "Stayed with the kids for Great-Grandpa Bill’s 100th birthday, and the place was PERFECT. The kids really enjoyed the loft—it was just for them—and the speakeasy theme was a kick. Easy walk to Guest House coffee and Alley-Bi burgers. Would definitely stay here again."

Lincoln's Loft - Hawthorne suite is a beautifully renovated street level apartment in downtown Lincoln, IL that was completed in March of 2021. Lincoln's Loft lower unit is an experience in itself. This historically renovated space is a prime location for entertaining your group downtown, quiet family getaway, or a friends weekend. The loft features a livingroom/dining/kitchen all in an open concept. Down the hall you will find 2 bedrooms, one featuring 2 queen beds, 3 nightstands, and wall racks to hang clothing, The second bedroom features one queen bed, 2 wall shelves used as nightstands, a full sized washer/dryer along with detergent and dryer sheets, and a closet with extra linens, luggage rack, extra towels, and extra blankets. Further down the hall you will find a ‘selfie area’ with our logo and hats to wear in the pictures. The full sized bath is to your right with a 36 inch vanity, and a walk in shower with glass doors. Outside the emergency exit there is a small smoking area with bench and a cigarette butt disposal receptacle.

Upon entry you are greeted by the living room. Offering a comfortable and spacious leather sectional, along with an electric fireplace and smart TV, this space is designed to live in. Welcome to the Haunted Lincoln, IL Goth House,

We are excited to share our mysteriously eerie octagon home with you! We have carefully curated every square foot of the property for a peculiar experience with contrasting colors and moods. The 1,500 square foot home was originally built in 1993 but completely renovated to its current design in 2021. It is located on an expansive 1/2-acre lot with a large yard. The throwback octagon design from the 1800’s purposefully has no square rooms.

The space

Our home features an inviting foyer, open living/dining concept with a corner gas log fireplace, French doors, and laminate flooring. The main floor features a fully equipped galley kitchen with granite countertops, a comfortable queen + twin bunk bedroom, full tiled bathroom, and a large, tiled laundry/mudroom. Travel up the captivating spiral staircase to an exquisite bright and airy master loft with king bed and soaring cathedral ceilings, three skylights, and a stunning private tiled bath with a double vanity and tiled walk-in shower. We have two luxury king inflatable beds and bedding to accommodate additional guests on the main floor. The property has custom black window treatments throughout, accent lighting on the interior and exterior, thee sperate decks, a 3+ car attached garage and a custom pergola and firepit.

The house is centrally located on a quiet residential street just down the street from Lincoln College and approximately one mile from the historic downtown square. Lincoln is located on Route 66 and is known for being the town that Abraham Lincoln christened with a Watermelon in 1853 as well as the first city named after Abraham Lincoln before his presidency. Lincoln is a small town with lots of sightseeing and great restaurants and is located approximately 40 minutes from Springfield, 50 minutes from Peoria, 2 hours from St Louis and 2.5 hours from Chicago. Lincoln has a spooky past and features haunted downtown tours several times per year. We look forward to welcoming you to our property, please feel free to reach out with any questions prior to booking.

The rules are easy. Please respect the property, the road its on, and the home you're staying in.

NOISE
Outdoor quiet time is 9 pm. Feel free to keep the conversations going, especially around the fire, but please move the loud sounds inside. This is a quiet place in the evenings. If you want to host a later gathering, it must be communicated with the host. Please communicate your needs, we will talk with the neighbors, and let you know what options there are. We all like to have a good time.

CHECK-OUT TIME
Check-out time is prompt at 10 AM. We would love to let you stay forever, but we may have another guest checking in after you. If you have not been approved for a late check-out, you will be subject to a $50 fine for each 15 minute interval that you delay the cleaning team. We value the time of our staff and hope you do as well. A delayed checkout only causes stress and extra work for them. We hope you understand, so please make sure to check out on time in order to avoid any fine. If a late checkout time is mandatory, please be sure to make arrangements upon booking. We will do our best to accommodate your request pending availability.

PETS
Our base pet fee is $90 for a single dog up to 3 nights and $30/night beyond that. Each additional dog will cost $30/night. Airbnb will charge the $90 base fee. If you have additional dogs or longer stays, you will receive a separate fee request. Cats are not allowed due to house keeper allergies.

Additional refundable security deposit will be taken for parties and events.

Lincoln's Loft is a historically and beautifully renovated space with modern amenities and features in Downtown Lincoln, IL. The Lofts are close to downtown shopping, eateries, and nightlife. Located inside a historic downtown building with another loft, please keep in mind other guests by keeping the noise to a minimum between 10 pm and 8 am.

The space features an open concept layout, with a large great room comprised of a fully equipped kitchen and a large livingroom space, with a 4 person kitchen table and an island that also seats 2. The historic renovation includes refinished original hardwood floors, and beautifully exposed brick walls. Through the large reclaimed sliding door, you will find the bedroom that has two queen size beds, a desk that can be used as an office work space, A full sized private laundry facility is included inside the space with laundry detergent and dryer sheets. The large walk in closet includes extra bedding linens, 2 air mattresses, hangers, iron and ironing board, and a luggage rack.

As this loft is located in the upstairs of a historic building, please expect stairs! There are 24 stairs to the second floor. We do not have an elevator.
