The Space
This little neighborhood is located near the start of a scenic loop road on the southwestern tail of Lake Bloomington, and the house is on the north shore of Reese Lake. The fenced in yard has a gas grill, covered outdoor dining area, and a fire pit. The attached garage has been transformed into a game room. The game room has air hockey, foosball, ping pong table, electronic keyboard, puzzles, board and table games, and a smart TV.

The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you’ll need to cook, like pots, pans, bakeware, cutting boards, etc, as well as salt, pepper, oil, flour and sugar. We also provide coffee and tea!

This is a no smoking/vaping house, and small pets are allowed.

The space
The Schoolhouse Cabin is a perfect mesh of rustic and luxury. Located at the start of the scenic loop road on the south side of the lake, the water is a 2 minute walk in multiple directions! The cabin is a historic schoolhouse with multiple charming features including a spiral staircase, wood burning stove, original brick entry way floor, sunken dining room, and loft style upstairs! The yard has multiple gathering spaces including a brick deck with grill, dining area, conversation/lounge area, fire pit and an outdoor daybed to relax under the trees.
The oversized two car garage has been made into a game room! Game room has ping pong, air hockey, foosball, double basketball, tons of board and table games games, crochet, bocce ball, ladder ball, bags, ring toss, lawn darts, spike ball, a small kiddie area with little toys, and a sprinkler for your use! Hot tub seats 8 people and is available year round. Guests must follow hot tub rules.

Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you’ll need to cook like pots, pans, bakeware, cutting boards, etc, as well as salt, pepper, oil, flour and sugar. We will also provide coffee and tea!

The property is not wheel chair accessible and not recommended for toddlers or anyone that has trouble with a few steps.
There are steps to the main door, a small step up to the living room, and steps down to the dining and main floor bedroom.
Additionally, the spiral stair case is not suitable for very small children as the hand rails are wide enough to fit through! Please be aware that by booking, you waive any liability on the owners for tripping on steps.
Keep in mind, we are by a lake and woods! There will be wildlife and bugs! We try our best to keep all bugs outside the home, but given our location, some do creep in! Also, you will see deer more than likely. Please be careful driving, especially at night, and don’t scare them away if/when they come into our yard!

The spiral staircase was just another added touch to make it feel like you were living in the a older style house. The Courthouse Loft resides in the historic courthouse used in the mid 1900s on the second floor of The City House. Original railing and gate of courtroom still stands and brick is exposed to bring the history to life. Studio style layout in large 825 square feet space with separated bath and laundry. Mid century and historic style will wrap you in comfort and luxury during your stay.

This historic space is set up studio style to keep as much historic value as possible. You’ll find the original courthouse gate in the middle of the room that adds a lovely, unique touch. Sleeping areas are open to the living area and we are not wheelchair accessible, as there is a flight of stairs to the loft. Bathroom is within the loft and is completely private. We added a brand new patio! Down the spiral staircase is the brand new 7 person hot tub, seating, dining table and grill! During the day, you’ll be showered with light from all the windows and by night, the amber vintage bulbs with make the space glow with luxury and sexiness.

The loft is on the second floor of The City House, above Java Café. Java Café opens at 6:30 am M-F and 7 am on the weekends. The main building entry is shared by the coffee shop, The Courthouse Loft, and the office spaces on the second floor. The building entry is shared, but the Loft is private and is not shared by anyone else except your party.

The Farmhouse at Red River Farms is the original house from when the farm was established in the 1940's. Additions have been made over the years, which makes it a lovely home to live in by today's standards while keeping some of that old farmhouse charm. Depending upon the time of year of your stay, you will be able to observe various farm centric activities. It could be chickens, cows, pigs, turkeys around Red River Farms or tractors and combines in the fields. There is plenty to observe!

- "Everything was just wonderful! They have even furnished the dock with comfy furniture to sit or lie on! Several of them enjoyed just fishing off of the dock & or watching. The heated pool was also very delightful! We & our 10 & 13 year old girls enjoyed playing on the numerous floats that are there to use & diving off the diving board. We didn’t rent a boat, but could have. We have a boat with a larger horsepower than we couldn’t use because boat motors are limited to 40 horsepower. Basically, there is everything that anyone could ask for to have fun with. There’s even a bar, a Ping pong table, & home theater in the basement. We would love to stay there again!"

Easiest parking for guest is to park on Third Street by the exterior steps and the Welcome Airbnb sigh. If off street parking is needed just contact us and we will work to make arrangements.

We do have 2 small dogs that are not allowed in the guest area. However, they are small dogs and they do bark. We have been told by many guest that they do not hear the barking, but for clarification you might hear them bark. We can not allow guest's to bring Pets, due to allergies.

This suite was originally a dentist office from 1872! It has since been restored and converted into the most romantic getaway around. Guests will enjoy exposed brick, tall ceilings, luxurious beds, antique decor, chandeliers, table and chairs, mini fridge, microwave, wine glasses and en-suite bath with a two headed shower, and claw foot tub. Built in 1872 this room housed the first dentist chair in town. It now boasts a stunning bay window and lounge day bed for bird watching or star gazing. Located upstairs on the south wing of Central Estate. Guests share a main entrance with one other suite on the north wing. Each has its own lock with private code.
