I had to call hotels.com several times on the day of travel because I was on a train and therefore the calls kept dropping, but the staff at hotels.com clearly didn't know that the check-in procedure here was peculiar. They kept assuring me I could do things like take care of the deposit when I got there. Which I couldn't have, since no one was there. It all worked out, and I'll know for next time, but be forewarned. "
