Basically, an extra room with an extra bed (or office) in the middle of the home. Don’t be surprised; there is no dishwasher. It’s ok though, you eat out a lot, and there are great restaurants nearby. It was in a historic building and in a safe community. Wooden floors, quiet location, and the King size bed was SO comfortable. There are TV’s in living room and bedroom. Laundry! You can do 4 loads at one time. Mike has a wealth of knowledge for people just passing through, or staying for a while. We feel gratefull to have found this property. 👍❤️ We HAVE rented from him again."

Our home sits on the corner and there is free street parking directly in front of the house. There is also a parking pad in the back of the house that is accessible via the alley which can fit one car and is available for you to use during your stay. Please be aware that our home is on a corner lot next to a busy street so you will hear typical street noise during your stay. We have built a wrap around fence to block as much of the noise as we can. The side yard is a perfect place for your fur baby to spend time while you are visiting. We have a $50 pet fee to accommodate your pets while you are visiting. We can't wait for you to enjoy all of the amazing things we love about The Hill.

This Vacation Home comes with a heavy duty Air Purifier and I ensure that the filters are changed regularly not only on the Air Purifier but on the home's furnace system as well. Traveling with Pets?

We had nine in our group so we were able to spread out with the kids playing upstairs while the adults cooked dinner and visited diwnstairs. It's close to so many sites which was convenient and the little girls lived the donut shop a couple blocks away. The sound machines in each room were also a nice touch. Crisp white bedding and fluffy white towels and the house was immaculate... Perfect!"

The Southwest Gardens Apartment is a large one-bedroom, one-bathroom home located just one-block west from the Missouri Botanical Gardens, two-blocks north of the historic Tower Grove Park and less than a mile from The Hill neighborhood. Mike was a great host, who clearly takes pride in his personal care of the property. He was quick to respond with our questions. Historic 1904 home, beautifully remodeled duplex, is located in the famous Italian neighborhood, the Hill. This is a 1,300 square feet, 2BR/1BA apartment on the first floor. Many Italian restaurants, bakeries and shops are within a walking distance. Also less than a 10-minute drive to SLU, Wash U, Barnes Jewish, Cardinal Glennon, Forest Park, Botanical Garden, St. Louis Zoo, The Arch, Anheuser Busch Brewery and the famous St. Louis Cardinals Busch Stadium.
The Property
This is a two bedroom, one bathroom apartment on the first floor. Each bedroom has a comfortable, queen sized mattress and memory foam pillows. The apartment is also close to both HWY 64/40 and 44 and just a short drive to Barnes Jewish Hospital, Children's Hospital, Forest Park, SLU Hospital, St. Louis University, Washington University, St. Louis Zoo, Missouri Botanical Garden, Downtown, Clayton, etc.
Getting Around
Some attractions are within a walking distance, but to get around St. Louis we recommend having a car. There is also public transportation available nearby.

The deck and fenced park-like yard provide an amazing space for outdoor entertainment. This property is conveniently located near major highways, making it easy to get around the city quickly.
- "This house was beautiful and had plenty of space. The newly updated kitchen was great for cooking (although I could have used a few more pans and cooking utensils). The house has central AC but also window units in the bedrooms if you only want to cool your sleeping space. Easy access, plus a secure place to park off the street. Beds were super comfortable and we never heard any noises outside that disrupted our sleep. Lots of space to store your clothes, but I would have liked some more surface area/storage in the bathrooms. The house is centrally located for anything you want to do around St. Louis, with plenty to do within walking distance. We felt at home and had everything we needed for our stay. We had a little trouble with the digital keypad, but Sophie responded quickly to my messages and was able to unlock it remotely to let us in. There's also a key you can use as a backup."

Getting Around
Some attractions are within a walking distance, but to get around St. Louis we recommend having a car. There is also public transportation available nearby.

The property has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. There is a King sized bed in the Master, and a Twin Sized daybed in the 2nd bedroom which is also set up for an office for those who need a little more room to work while staying in St Louis.
You will be pleasantly surprised at the little extra's we have for you. We aim to please our guests by providing as much of the comforts of home including fast high speed WIFI to office space which is supplied with a printer, ink and paper for you to use. The Elephant themed apartment sleeps 3 with a Queen size bed and a smaller convertible sofa. The tenants/guests each have their own door to their apartments on the 2nd floor. There are 2 outdoor patio tables/chairs that are shared by all guests.
Other things to note
We operate 4 separate short term rentals in our building. You "may" come across other guest in front of the building or when going up and down the stairs in the "general" area of the building. The 2nd floor balcony is for all guests to enjoy. Nobody has access to the private short term rental apartments accept the guest renting. If you see them in the staircase; feel free to say hello.

Your living room has an electric fireplace, a queen size sofa sleeper and a 42” Roku TV with cable provided. The bedroom is decorated with vintage drapes with an antique bed and dresser. The small bathroom has an antique clawfoot soaking tub. We supply bath balls, epson soaks and quality bodywash as well as shampoos and conditioners. There is also a 2nd floor shared balcony as well as 2 outside seating areas that each include a patio table, 4 chairs and an umbrella. Propane fueled BBQ pit is available to use upon request.
Other things to note
My spouse/Tom and I live in the building on the 1st floor. We like to give our guests as much privacy as possible; so try leaving you alone. However, one of the perks to having us in the building is we can usually get you what you need; immediately when you need it; within minutes. So don't hesitate to give us a holler if you need us.

The TINY HOUSE has everything you need in a small, private space. Updated and sparkling clean. The TINY HOUSE is located in a separate building, behind the main house. There is a small yard between the two buildings with an outdoor area with patio chairs and table. Very quiet and private.
The TINY HOUSE is stocked with everything we think you will need for a carefree stay. Feel like cooking? We have an assortment of pots and pans, pizza pan, salad spinner, blender, utensils and everything else we think you need to prepare a meal. We provide with everything you will need to start your morning including a drip coffee machine, French press, coffee grinder and electric kettle. We will also provide you with provide you with ground coffee, whole coffee beans for grinding and an assortment of teas, and basic pantry items. There are also fresh herbs available in the garden area during the summertime.
We pride ourselves in keeping our space spotlessly clean. Linens and towels are kept fresh and updated. Queen bed is a very comfortable Simmons Beautyrest mattress with lots of fluffy pillows and a freshly washed lightweight duvet. Hair dryer is provided.
Reclining chair-and-a-half is big enough for two. Check out the local stations or do some binge watching on the ROKU TV including Amazon Prime, or sign into your own services. Super strong WIFI signal provides plenty of power to stream movies and surf the Internet.
Desk is stocked with office basics, pens, paper, stapler, paper clips.
The TINY HOUSE has a new furnace that keeps the place nice and cozy. During the warmer months we install two window air conditioners. One is located in the kitchen, the other is located in the bedroom. Both rooms have a large ceiling fan. The cooled air can be circulated through the house through a duct system.
We think the TINY HOUSE is big enough for two people on shorter stays. Longer stays for two people may be better off in a larger space unless you enjoy TINY HOUSE living.
There are three Airbnb units on the property. The main building has two apartments, one on the 1st floor and one on 2nd floor. The Tiny House is located behind the main building. You’ll have the place all to yourself. No upstairs or downstairs tenants!The three properties share the laundry area where there are 2 washers and 2 dryers. We are near Downtown, sporting venues, BJC Hospitals, We are a short distance from downtown, our sporting venues, and our beautiful Botanical Gardens. Also convenient to universities, the convention center, the Arch & City Museum!
The space
This 2nd-floor apartment enters through the enviting bedroom with its queen bed and walk-in closet. The iving room with cool exposed brick has a roomy sofa w/ ottoman, and comfy chair to sit back and relax in, as well as a desk for your convenience. The sofa also has a trundle to convert it into a 2nd queen sleeping space if needed. This living area is open to the kitchen with its stainless steel appliances and center island for dining.
There is a new, in-unit washer/dryer located in the hallway outside the bathroom. The bathroom is clean and bright and has a walk-in shower.
There is also a balcony which is a great spot to sit and drink a glass of wine and just watch the neighborhood go by, even on the occasional warm winter day.
The park across the street, Sublette Park, has newly resurfaced tennis courts, and a playground as well as a soccer field and softball field. There is a deck out back for your use as well.
Guest access
The 2nd-floor apartment is solely for your use, you will not share this space with anyone. The entrance is through the rear door at the back of the property. We will send you an access code for the exterior door that brings you into an enclosed porch, and a key will be provided for your apartment on the second floor. All of these instructions will be sent prior to your arrival.
Use this key for the apartment during your stay and when you check out, just leave it in the door for our cleaning person.
Other things to note
The apartment is on the second floor and access is through the rear door where you enter an enclosed porch with an indoor stairwell. The apartment opens into the bedroom. Through the bedroom is the hall where the bathroom is located. At the end of the hall, the apartment opens to the kitchen and living room area. The balcony is off of the living room. This apartment is not handicap accessible.
Private apt is located on quiet street near the Hill, St. Louis' Italian neighborhood. Centrally located to St. Louis Hospitals. Walking distance to grocery, restaurants, bars. Comphy queen bed/linens, stocked kitchen, outside patio and shared laundry. Free parking on street. We do not live on the property but consider it an extension of our home. The furniture, art and decor are from our own collection. We personally manage and clean. Sorry, no pets or infants allowed for safety reasons.

The apartment has been renovated with a 1950's vibe. The living area has two leather chairs and leather love seat, 50” TV, modern shelving units and two comfy ottomans. As you walk through the apartment you pass through French doors to enter the bedroom area. The bedroom area includes a comfortable queen size bed with a premium Simmons Beautyrest mattress, and a desk/work space area. Just past the bedroom, a full bathroom with shower and tub are located to your right. On the left is a full size walk in closet. The sunny, light filled kitchen is located in the rear of the apartment and faces the south. It is fully stocked with cookware, utensils and pantry basics. You’ll be surrounded by nature in this apartment. Along with nature inspired artwork, there are several terrariums with live plants, hanging planters and succulents throughout the apartment. Outside the back door is your own patio, which has two chairs, a small table and more plants. The backyard is shared with the tenants in the upstairs apartment and the rear Tiny House. Very quiet and private.

The primary bedroom is equipped a full length mirror, charging ports for all of your electronics, plenty of hangers, extra blankets, and super comfy beds that you melt in, down alternative comforters, both soft & firm pillows for your extra comfort. All of our bedding & linens were specifically purchased to be hypoallergenic for our guests.
Welcome to bedroom number 1, where a beautiful king-sized bed invites you into a cocoon of soft linens for a night of dreamy sleep with the memory foam mattress, down alternative comforter and a ceiling fan for those hot summer nights, a nightstand with bedtime lighting, a dresser for your belongings to be kept during your stay, a plush wingback chair, a quilt rack with extra quilts, usb ports & extra outlets, even an alarm clock (just in case one is needed). The room is adorned with a lavish style throughout. Don't forget to look in the closet where you will find extra hanging storage, plenty of hangers and some more extra blankets.
The 2nd bedroom offers even more 1904 Worlds Fair memorabilia that adds stylish touches in this bedroom/office. Comfortable memory foam mattress with this daybed, soft, fluffy & luxurious down alternative comforter, both soft & firm pillows, extra blankets, some storage. This room doubles as an office with a full sized desk & chair, a color printer with ink, printer paper, and some office supplies for those who need them.
If our guests are in need of a Pack-N-Play, we have one for you to use, so you can leave yours at home.
*Bathroom*
Venture into the bathroom, another haven with its own lotions and potions. Need to unwind? Opt for a revitalizing shower with all the essentials to wash away the day's stresses. No need to bring shampoo, conditioner, body wash, we got you covered with the in shower dispenser. Need a bath tub to soak after a long day of activities, no problem, we have one for you. You will also find lightly scented hand lotion, cotton balls, q-tips, floss picks, black make up remover towels, a blow dryer, curling irons, flat irons and a first aid kit.
*Laundry*
Our laundry area is located in the basement of the property & provides easy access to the full sized washer & dryer, ensuring that you won't have to worry about dirty clothes during your stay. Whether you need to wash a few items or do a full load, our laundry facilities are designed to make the process as easy and convenient as possible. With everything you need right at your fingertips, you can focus on enjoying your trip without having to worry about laundry. We have provided a few detergent pods, dryer balls, an iron and ironing board for you to use included in your stay.

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire unit except the storage closet in the unit that is locked. Guest also have access to the washer & dryer located in the basement.
Other things to note
St. Louis has many things to offer our guests throughout the year, either downtown or only a short drive away, there is something for everyone. You will be only a couple of blocks to the Botanical Gardens & Tower Grove Park, both are in walking range. Just a couple more blocks & you can try one of St Louis famous restaurants "On The Hill" (Little Italy) where you can find anything from sandwiches to fine dining.
Downtown St Louis is only about 5 min away where you can go catch a Cardinals Baseball Game, a Blues Hockey Game, St Louis City SC Soccer game, go visit the St Louis Arch & museum, the St Louis Science Center & Planetarium, go to visit any of our FREE museums, Art museum History museum, Blues museum, or FREE St Louis Zoo, Forest Park, Botanical Gardens, Tower Grove Park, The Farmers Market, Ballpark Village, Union Station, The St Louis Wheel & Aquarium, St Louis City museum. Historic 1904 home, beautiful duplex is located in the famous Italian neighborhood, The Hill. This is a 1200 square feet, 2BR/1BA apartment on the first floor. Many Italian restaurants, bakeries and shops are within a walking distance. Also less than a 10-minute drive to SLU, Wash U, Barnes Jewish, Cardinal Glennon, Forest Park, Botanical Garden, St. Louis Zoo, The Arch, Anheuser Busch Brewery and the famous St. Louis Cardinals Busch Stadium.
The space
This is a two bedroom, one bathroom apartment on the first floor. Each bedroom has a comfortable, queen sized mattress and memory foam pillows. The master bedroom also has an extra 42" TV with ROKU. The unit was remodeled in 2016. The fully stocked kitchen has stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops and beautiful dark cabinets. Washer and Dryer are complimentary and free to use in the basement.
