I had to call hotels.com several times on the day of travel because I was on a train and therefore the calls kept dropping, but the staff at hotels.com clearly didn't know that the check-in procedure here was peculiar. They kept assuring me I could do things like take care of the deposit when I got there. Which I couldn't have, since no one was there. It all worked out, and I'll know for next time, but be forewarned. "

A couple issues: it takes three codes to enter the property and the instructions we were given for the second door were incorrect. It’s a first floor property and all the windows were unlocked and it was a bit challenging to get them all locked, which was essential for security. There are lovely six foot tall windows throughout the apartment, but the window in the main bedroom’s bathroom had no window covering at all and has a direct view to alley/parking lot. The space
You have the entire apartment to yourself during your stay! A parking space for a single car is out front and is included in your stay. A full eat in kitchen, large bedroom, well appointed living room, and bathroom round out the ~700 square foot space. The large front and back yard and garden are also yours to enjoy.

Guests can enjoy both the main floor apartment as well as the front porch, front yard, and backyard garden.

The home is located on a relatively quiet street in the city. There is occasional traffic noise. The neighbors have two large dogs that are always leashed or in their gated back yard. There are a few steps to climb to enter the home.

The home is a first floor apartment. There is a completely separate upstairs apt (separate entry, separate EVERYTHING) that we also list on Airbnb, so you may hear footsteps upstairs occasionally.

St Louis is an metropolitan city and we live in the heart of it. Please remove valuables from your vehicle, lock your vehicle and the home when leaving, and exercise relative caution. You might see a fully renovated home next door to a vacant home and across the street from one that's under construction...such is life in St. Louis. The patchwork of homes is diverse and many city blocks are still climbing their way out of the effects of redlining decades ago and the recession just a few years ago.

Welcome to St. Louis! This quiet and safe place is only minutes of walking distance to the Cathedral, Forest park,Barnes Hospital, Zoo, grocery store, and some of the finest restaurants in St. Louis. It is also 7 min drive to Delmar loop/the Pageant, 8-min to Clayton, 7 min to downtown. You will get a cozy bedroom on the 1st floor. We will share the kitchen, dining room, and the living room, which are all clean and tidy. Metrolink stop, bus stops, are close and easy to find in the neighborhood.

The space
You'll have a private bedroom on the first floor with a brand-new bed, desk, chair, ceiling fan and light. It is 250 square feet and has a tv with Netflix and Amazon Prime. This is a library room and the room door has a keypad lock. We'll share the kitchen, dining room, and the living room. There is a half bathroom on the first floor and a full bathroom at the basement level. If there is any questions or problems you just tell me and I will try to fix it.

Guest access
You'll have access to the basement floor bathroom, the kitchen, dining room, the supply closet, and of course your room. If there's anything you need feel free to call me or Mika, but everything you need for the stay should be available in either the kitchen, the supply closet on 2nd floor, or your room. Metrolink stop, bus stops, are close and easy to find in the neighborhood. But most of the attractions are within walking distance. Also Uber or Lfyt is very convenient. Parking tips- You can park on the street for free, but read the signs for the two or three mornings per month when they do street cleaning. Parking is usually reasonable during the day, but around 4:30 the spots fill up fast as people get off work. Therefore, we do have limited spots available for a $5 reservation per day. There is limited parking, so request early due to limited availability. If you decide to reserve a parking spot, please be sure to park behind the other cars. Let us know and I’ll send you a request for the total amount. The back parking lot is accessed only through the alley in between West Pine and Lindell. We also offer bike rentals. If interested please message us in advance. If there’s any questions feel free to message me and I will respond as quickly as possible.

I'm glad to answer any questions you have before, during, or after your stay! Since check-in and check-out are all keyless processes we might not run into each other if you're staying here briefly.

Guests can park at any spot on the north side of the street (except by the fire hydrant), best by the house but if taken, even 3 or 4 houses down the road is fine. Make sure to lock all your windows and car to enhance security.

Do not use the back door. Do not go to the back yard as it's private. Do not park on the driveway without permission. Park on driveway for loading or unloading purposes only and for a maximum of 20 minutes each time.

We are located a few feet from public transportation and the thriving "Historic Cherokee St. District", where you will find several restaurants, bars, shopping venues, and night life. We are also located within a mile of several large parks and less than 4 miles from downtown (Arch) and most special events.

The space
This room is exclusively for you. The two of us live downstairs, which except for the foyer is off-limits to guests. You won't have access to the kitchen or laundry. However, we have a breakroom with a table, chairs, small fridge, microwave, and ironing board/station. We also have several laundermats close by, or we have a limited laundry service for a nominal fee. The bathroom, breakroom, and library/hall, may be shared with up to 6 other guests.

Guest access
We have a code key for the front door so guests can come and go as needed. Guests also have a lock on their private bedroom.

During your stay
During check-in we quickly show guests how to work the front door, walk through criitcal listing rules, tour guest areas, assist with luggage, point out points of interest in the neighborhood and city if desired, and address any guest concerns or potential needs.
