The kitchen floor was sticky and there’s paint splatters everywhere and the bed frame, floor boards, and window sills looks dirty and poorly finished, heavily used, and not cleaned. Also the drain in the laundry area/closet smelt absolutely terrible, the ice machine didnt work in the freezer, and the AC was stuck on 72 and you couldnt lower it while it felt like at night the ac turned off and would get super hot."

I wish I would have known about this place when my kids were little. The doors to the rooms still had the old fashion door handles with real keys. I had a bit of trouble with the key. I went and got some help and realized I just needed to wiggle the handle a bit while turning the key. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised and will be returning."

- "The home was comfortable and provided a great vacation hub for the 4-5 days we stayed in KC area. Centrally located to historical areas like Liberty, Independence, and Far West. The only thing we wish the property had was laundry facilities. For a short stay not a problem, but for longer it was unfortunate we had to go sit at a laundry mat for several hours on our vacation...never seen a house without laundry. Guess we shouldn't have assumed. We had two adults and four children; utilizing the blow up mattress. That worked but did make the living room pretty tight once the bed was blown up. Not a complaint, just wanted to provide that information for anyone who wants to know. It worked out just fine for us. Kitchen is very nice and well stocked with all the tools you would need. We grilled one night and cooked the others. Walmart just a few minutes away as well as several restaurants. Bathroom is cozy, but still nice. Communication was great. They sent us a text to welcome us and provide pass code for door. Also followed up during the week and after our departure. Super easy to work with in our case."

If you only need to sleep 4 and are planning to eat out for all your meals, it is great. Honestly, $30 is all you need to make this a great place for the 6 person capacity indicated in the listing. The dog in apt 201 next door woke us up barking at 3am every morning. That totally sucked. In general, everything was clean on the surface but the vinyl floors in the unit trap a lot of dirt that is hard to clean. It was apparent that the unit had been cleaned before we arrived but all my white socks are dark brown after walking around in the unit without shoes on."

This studio apartment has its own coded private entrance. It has a kitchenette with a microwave and refrigerator, crockpot, indoor grill and hotplate and dishes. Full size bed with night stands and reading lights. Two ceiling fans, two stool bar. Pullout twin sofa bed and TV. Full bath and large closet. The studio is a converted garage and is attached to our home. There is a lock on each side.

Guest access
You will have your own parking and separate door for access. We will provide code the day prior to your arrival. Each Friday we will collect soiled linens and provide clean linens. We do not provide laundry services for your personal items. We also allow access to our outdoor trash. The city picks up trash Wednesday morning. I take it to the street on Tuesday night. Please tie up your trash prior to placing it in our outdoor can. We will show you where our trash is located upon arrival.

Other things to note
Due to Kansas City ordering us to cease operating short term, we are no longer able to accept stays of 30 days or fewer. Please feel welcome to stay with us 31 nights or longer.
We provide 3 rolls of toilet paper, 1 roll of paper towels and 2 trash bags for each trash can. After these items are used you are on your own. No need to leave extra supplies!
Twin size pullout sofa/bed Can Not be used without permission because we have to move things around and we do not want guests doing that).

Speaking of expectations the bathroom should be cleaned weekly too. Our expectation is that YOU leave it as clean as you found it. Toilet, shower and sink, and everything else. We expect that you vacuum weekly and there is a vacuum provided. Please do not iron on the bed, use the board provided. We keep the right to charge for bedding damaged due to ironing on the bed. Please leave the refrigerator clean and empty.

Lastly, in terms of trash. You may use our external trash can. Trash goes out on Wednesday morning. Our expectation is that YOUR trash is in our provided trash prior to us taking our trash to the curb. (Might as well take it out on Tuesday). PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE tie up your trash.

This suite has a separate entrance and two locking egress bedrooms. You might have the whole space to yourself or I can let you know if someone is in the other room. Fully furnished kitchen, dishwasher, washer/dryer, Go-ogle Fiber, driveway parking, green back yard, quiet cul-de-sac. Get comfy on the Queen sized Sleep Number bed. At 900 square feet you can spread out and feel at home. Close to the intersection of 435, 470 and 71/49 highway--get any place in the city quickly.

The space
This is a beautifully finished basement. Everything is brand new. When we moved in upstairs most of the downstairs was unfinished. My husband is a contractor and he did a beautiful job adding two bedrooms, a kitchen and expanding the sad little bathroom that was there before. Both bedrooms have legal egress windows. New replacement windows let in lots of light. You get to park in the driveway on this quiet cul-de-sac. Sorry, no fires in fireplace.

Guest access
You have a separate entrance to access this space in the lower level of this ranch house. I live on the main floor.

During your stay
Since I live upstairs I'm available if you need something, but as a general rule, after making sure that guests know the ropes, I give them their privacy. There is a storage closet downstairs but if I need anything I will text to make sure it's OK to come downstairs.

Other things to note
Please don't let the security deposit scare you. It's not collected up front. It only becomes an issue if something gets broken or damaged. You will not be charged the security deposit when you book or ever if nothing is damaged.
