Visit the “Gateway to the West” and stay in our newly built Little Blue House in Kirkwood (a suburb of St. Louis). Very bright and open, this charming, one story home will be perfect for anyone from busy kiddos to LOLs (little old ladies) who can't run up and down stairs anymore! Accomodations include 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, as well as a pull out sofa with a queen size bed. We have recently added a pack n play for our youngest guests. We have plenty of parking right next to the entrance. This darling house comes with keyless check-in, a fully equipped kitchen, stacked washer/dryer, on demand water heater, and high speed wifi. Smart TVs in each bedroom and the living room as well. Remote control zoned heating/cooling ensures everyone stays comfy no matter what the weather brings. Even the bamboo floors are heated for those cold winter mornings! Situated off the interstate, this cozy house is a short drive to several restaurants, shopping, downtown, the Arch, Ball-Park Village, and a host of other attractions that St. Louis has to offer. Welcome to our guest house! This 1 bedroom 1 bathroom living space is completely private and ready for your stay. It is equipped with a private balcony, full kitchen, dining area, living room, one bedroom with King bed, and one bathroom. The unit is located above our garage in the back of our property. There is also a patio area with chairs and a firepit that is open for use. Street parking is readily available. It's roughly a 15-20 min walk to downtown Kirkwood(around 1 mile) and about a 20 min drive to downtown STL.

Downtown Kirkwood is a quaint area full of restaurants and shops to explore. The Amtrak station is also very close!

- "Great property for our family. Perfect size and amenities." - "The email outlining the check in process was easy to follow. The house was extremely clean and the neighborhood is great. Close to many stores and restaurants. The house is cozy and comfortable." - "We were allowed to check in two hours early, but the house was totally uncleaned. Dirty floors, and when we pulled out the vacuum it picked up a bunch of sand and dirt right away. The laundry water backed up in the tub, so standing water while showering. Found a dirty hair tie, floss stick, sauce pack cup, dirty used bandaids, and something splattered on the closet wall. Not sure why I was charged a cleaning fee, I should have been on the payroll for cleaning it myself. Also, 2 of the 4 days stay, the internet didn’t work. The space
Our home has 4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, a dining table for 8-10, and 2 living rooms.

Bedroom 1 upstairs is a queen with dark curtains, a closet, a dresser, and electric fireplace. The mattress is memory foam and has built in charging blocks in the back of the night stands. This bedroom also has an electric fireplace.

Bedroom 2 is a twin, including an office space for remote work. This office space has a monitor and connector so you can work remotely with a dual screen.

Bedroom 3 is downstairs with a full size bed with Hollywood memorabilia and an electric fireplace.

Bedroom 4 is also downstairs, has two twin trundles, and is great for kids with extra toys and games.

The kitchen includes everything you will need for your stay, including everything needed to host family dinners and Thanksgiving! We have USB charging blocks built into all the outlets - no more forgetting your charger!

All TV's are SmartTV's with access to Netflix and other streaming services.

The hot tub seats 8 - and the back yard has games, and everything you would need to host your family!

Additional rules
Our golden rule is to leave the place like you found it. Cleaning equipment and supplies are provided so please feel free to keep the place tidy. No smoking, no shoes, no loud noise. Quiet time is after 10pm. If any additional cleaning is required past one hour you will be billed $25 per hour. Please let us know in advance if you think the place will require additional cleaning. If you’re staying more than 30 days you agree to clean during your stay. At check out feel free to strip the beds leaving linens next to the bed. Leave comforters on the bed unless you’ve stayed an extended period. Empty the refrigerator and take out excessive garbage. It’s ok to leave a small amount of trash in the apartment as our cleaner/cohost will also have a small amount of trash to take out from cleaning. If anything is damaged during your stay please notify your host and send a picture of the item in the Vrbo app. Before check-in please let us know your final guest count. Anyone bringing more people than indicated on the reservation will have their reservation canceled without a refund. Any canceled guests (who do not complete their stay) agree not to write a review about our property.
If any travel issues arise within 72 hours of your stay you agree to contact me to resolve the issue rather than Vrbo. Any guests who does not contact me first to rectify a travel issue agrees to hold me harmless for a refund or for providing you with new accommodations. Guests staying 30 days or more are allowed up to $200 per month in utilities including gas, electric and high-speed Internet. Just opened the calendar for bookings again. We keep it simple at this peaceful & centrally-located place. Large bedroom suite with over 600 sq ft of private space, better than a hotel, and conveniently located about 20-25 minutes from everywhere in town. It is located in Kirkwood, a suburb in St Louis County. We provide a queen bed and twin bed. There is an additional charge if there is more than 1 guest.

The space
The private bedroom is located in the basement of the house and includes an attached private bath. It has 2 beds, a queen bed along with a Twin Bed as well as a TV. There is a family room with TV connected to the bedroom for your exclusive use although it shares a common walkway to the laundry facilities/storage area. There is a dedicated workspace along with a small fridge, coffee pot and microwave for your private use. There is access to a shared kitchen as well as outdoor patio.

Quaint cozy cottage on a “No Thru Street”. The best place to stay in Kirkwood.This was my childhood home. Only 1/2 mile to downtown Historic Kirkwood with its many shops & restaurants,Farmers Market, Kirkwood Park & Pool & Train Depot. A couple of miles to Museum of Transport,Powder Valley Nature Center & Magic House Museum is a MUST if you have children. Home has steps to entry & is 4th house from railroad tracks that are up on the hill at end of street.Close easy access to all major highways

The space
My home is not childproofed but children are welcome! Both bedrooms have queen mattresses, dresser,closet,luggage stand with shoe rack, small fan, sound machine, Master bedroom nightstand lamps have USB charging ports. Kitchen is equipped with appliances, bake pans, pots & pans, utensils, silverware, dishes, complimentary coffee,tea bags, creamers & sugars. 1 bathroom with tub & shower,shampoo,conditioner & soap. I supply towels, bed linens, starter t.p. & paper towels. Downstairs there is an iron,ironing board, washer & dryer with laundry detergent as a convenience. There is also a sump pump which you may hear running. You should have plenty of everything but if you run out you may need to restock. There is a 7-11 Quick Mart at the top of George & Woodbine. Kirkwood Cottage is a short .2 mile from Aberdeen Senior Living Community, .4 miles from Kirkwood Aquatic Center, Kirkwood Park & Community Center & a 1/2 mile to Historic Downtown Kirkwood unique shops, restaurants, Kirkwood Farmers Market. Close by is The National Museum of Transport, Powder Valley Nature Center & The Magic House Museum which is a MUST if you have children.
