Come unwind in the second oldest homestead in KS, homesteaded in 1854. Enjoy the peace and quiet of the country, while still on the edge of bustling Lawrence. This home sits bordering the Wakarusa River and is walking distance to the Baker Wetlands. You’ll find the built in 1878 home fully furnished and newly renovated, perfect for larger groups all the way down to a solo traveler. Our homes main level features a bedroom with a queen size bed, and a full bathroom with a walk in shower, as well as a washer and dryer for guest use. There are three additional bedrooms upstairs, two with a king size bed, and one with a full size bed. The upstairs also has a full bathroom with heated flooring, a walk in shower as well as a soaking tub, and an office space found in bedroom 4. The front porch features two rocking chairs perfect to take in the tranquility of country living, as well as a table with two benches. The back patio features a table and four chairs along with string lighting for the perfect ambiance. We also have a wood fire pit available as well.
