The old stone house of a rustic decor as well as a quiet peaceful retreat calls to mind the stern but loving nature that surrounds it. Walking distance to Clinton Lake. Public Hunting and fishing within 1-2 miles.
It features 2 bedrooms both with a queen size bed. Open living room, dining room and kitchen area. Full bathroom, laundry room with washer and dryer, BBQ grill and firepit seating area. Also includes. Kitchen ware: pots and pans, utensils, refrigerator, range, coffee maker, tea maker, microwave; TV/Antenna, DVD player and linens. You will want to bring your own food and drinks with you.

Quiet country cottage located a short 5 miles (12 minutes) south of Lawrence. Nestled against a hill with a backdrop of trees, this cute 100 year old house has charm as well as privacy. Located on an 80 acre rewilded farm, The Prairie Harbor, guests will enjoy natural surroundings.
The space
Up to 2 Guests have the entire house and yard for themselves. The front porch has a long (20 mile) view to the East to catch every sunrise and moonrise on the horizon. The house has classic yellow pine trim, original doors, windows and hardware. The heartwood pine continuous plank floors were just recently refinished to add that original antique warmth throughout the house.
Guest access
There is easy parking for two vehicles in front of the house along the driveway. This drive can also easily accommodate a truck with trailer and several vehicles, if needed. Please contact host for parking instructions if towing a trailer or driving a larger (moving type) truck. The Prairie Harbor is generally a safe space to park open bed loads without concern.
Other things to note
Access does involve a number of steps leading to the front porch from the driveway. The ability to climb stairs is a necessity, although the cottage itself is all on one level.
The cottage has one bedroom with an antique full sized bed, not a queen or king size.
The kitchen has a refrigerator, wall oven, cooktop, and microwave, along with other small appliances, upgrading an old kitchen to current modern standards.
This is a rural property with plenty of privacy on a short distance of gravel road. Snow plows may not clear this section of roadway on the first day(s) following a snowfall, so be prepared to enjoy a snow day, if there is heavy frozen precipitation.
