Welcome to our newly renovated, quiet, and cozy suite in the heart of Lawrence, Kansas! Just a 5 minute walk to downtown Lawrence’s historical Mass Street and the historical East Lawrence Art District. We also have great access to West Lawrence; just off 6th street. This truly is a unique and quaint space to call yours and you’ll be minutes from KU Campus, breweries, historical venues, parks, library, restaurants, and more!

The space
Relax and unwind in our newly renovated cozy suite, perfect for a weekend get-a-way! Located in the Lawrence Cultural District, this 500 sq. ft. Guesthouse sleeps a total of four (4) with one-bedroom (queen bed), sleeper sofa (queen), and one-bathroom. The Suite is fully equipped with a Kitchen, WIFI, Smart HDTV, washer/dryer, fridge, coffee, wine glasses, books and other reading materials, iron/board, and everything you'd need to call this place "home".

Before you book there are a few things you should know. The unit is located in an alleyway, behind a primary residence home. The home was built 1950, so although its clean it may linger an “old smell” on occasion, and there may be uneven spots in the flooring. Welcome to old Lawrence homes!

The kitchen does not have an oven nor a garbage disposal. Please do not put food scrapes down the kitchen drain. There is a trash can directly under the sink in the cabinet. You will have a two-burner stove top, built-in mini fridge in stainless steel with freezer, microwave, toaster, 1-4 cup drip coffee machine, dishware, cutlery, pots/pans, wine/bottle opener, wine glasses, travel water bottles, travel tumbler mugs for hot/cold beverages, popcorn, hot cocoa, and other basic seasonings. There is a first aid kit, fire extinguisher, and basic cleaning supplies provided.

There is a single step up from the kitchen into the bedroom. There is a step stool in the hideway on the step, which will hold up to 300 lbs. Be sure to stand on it with both feet flat, not one-footed, for best safety precaution.

The bedroom does not have a traditional closet, but there is a rod with hangers provided should you need them. We also have it equipped with a luggage rack and USB port outlets. The black metal Queen bed comes with a Zinus green tea firm-plush memory foam mattress and Easeland cotton mattress pad, and three (3) pillow varieties: Bamboo memory foam, cooling luxury gel, and plush down alternative. The maximum weight recommendation for the bedframe is 500 lbs.

For extra guest support, the sleeper sofa in the living room can accommodate up to 2 sleepers. Guests can enjoy the queen sized memory foam mattress. Extra sheets, blankets and pillows are stored on the top shelf in the bedroom.

For the bathroom, there is no bathtub. The shower features the Holispa rainfall shower head. Towels are provided. Under the sink you will find a hair dryer.

This home also features a washer/dryer unit, stocked with laundry soap, dryer sheets, lint roller, and ironing board.

We have an outdoor security camera monitoring the front door of the unit for safety purposes. There are no cameras inside the home, to ensure the privacy and peace-of-mind for our guests.

We are located about 20 minutes from the Clinton Lake Marina and Bloomington Beach area! Clinton Lake offers a treasure trove of outdoor activities for all community members, rent a kayak, enjoy lunch on the deck and live music, swim, camp in the safe campsites and more!

The guesthouse has a tile entry with one flight of carpeted stairs. The kitchen has white cabinetry with Silestone countertops, a microwave, range, dishwasher, and refrigerator. The laundry area has a washer, dryer, and a tankless water heater. The bath has a white vanity with Silestone counter, and sun tunnel.

The space
There is a Keurig coffee maker for individual cups of coffee. There is also a full size coffee maker, an Aeropress, a small French press, a gooseneck kettle and a V60 coffee dripper. Ground coffee and tea bags are provided. There is a Brita water pitcher in the fridge.

Full access to the apartment above the garage. Enjoy the relaxing deck with goldfish pond and small waterfall.

4K TV with Roku and a Chromecast for Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, etc. The TV is on a swivel stand so it can be pointed directly at the bed or sofa or in the middle so everyone can watch. We also have a sound bar.

The modern-style studio lies in the backyard of the historic 1908 George Walker house. George Walker was a famous black Vaudevillian. He built this home for his mother.

The studio was built in 1985 and contains two floors. The first floor has the open dining room/living room space, desk area, closet, kitchen, and bathroom. The living room area contains the top-of-the-line Tempur Pedic bed, which can be set up upon request; there you will also find a 55" smart TV. Fully equipped kitchen with all basic amenities, including simple cooking supplies.

A beautiful wooden staircase takes you to the top floor/loft area, which contains the queen-sized bed and side table. Please note that the ceiling of the loft is slanted over the bed.

The space gets plenty of light from its six large south-facing ceiling windows.

An ideal space for parents of current or future Jayhawks and visiting scholars.

We are located on tree lined street in a charming neighborhood known as North Lawrence, just north of the Kaw River and Historic Downtown Lawrence.
There is easy access to walking and biking trails along the river. A short drive to the University of Kansas. It is a unique and beautifully crafted home,
originally built for our mother. It is fully furnished and handicapped accessible. A fabulous tower room with skylights and a bit of a tree house feel.

The space
A separate handicapped accessible living space attached to our home. It has an open full kitchen combined with a dining area and workspace with a large work table originally designed as a quilt studio. a living room, one bedroom has a queen size bed. The second bedroom is a sleeping nook with a twin bed next to the workspace, it can be closed off for privacy. A tower room with a twin trundle bed. Handicapped accessible ramp to entry, handicapped main bath, a stair lift to the tower. Wide door ways. Televisions in the living room and Kitchen/dining workspace area. A sweet little screened in back porch with a porch swing.

We are just 2 blocks from the train tracks and with trains come the train whistles, several times a day.

Please take note, we are pet owners, a dog and a cat. They do have access to the place when it is not rented and will often try to visit guests given half a chance. We make every effort to keep them home when we have guests, unless a guest misses their own pets... in that case Dusty, the dog and Xen, the cat are more than happy to step in and keep you company for a bit.
