This luxurious and comfortable private guest cottage was designed with Airbnb guests in mind! Approximately 500 + Sq ft., the cottage features a bedroom, bathroom, laundry room, sitting/dining/kitchen area, and a screened in front porch. The porch is the perfect spot to sip coffee and enjoy the beautiful view of the pond and back yard that make this listing so unique.
There is a comfortable pillow-top queen size bed, and a barn door separates the bedroom from the living space.
The bathroom has basic toiletries available as well as linens, a hair dryer, etc. The laundry room is accessible through the bathroom and has all of the basic supplies that a guest could need (washer, dryer, detergent, ironing board, iron, etc.).
A smart tv is located in the living area. It is a ROKU TV so that guests can use their own login details for their favorite streaming service (Amazon Prime, Disney Plus, Netflix, Hulu). Don't forget to Logout at checkout (:
The kitchen is equipped with the basic tools needed for cooking delicious meals or eating on the go: stainless steel cookware, enough place settings and utensils for 4 guests, as well as basic pantry items such as sugar, salt, pepper, and olive oil.
We are excited to support other local businesses and offer a complimentary selection of Leaf Logic tea as well as coffee from Cocoa Dulce to enjoy during the first day of your stay with us.
Note on Parking: There is a short walk from the parking area to the cottage via a gravel path (see photos). We have provided an all-weather luggage cart for your bags that is stored by the parking space.
You are welcome to enjoy a stroll around the pond or take off on the miles of dirt roads that are waiting just out the driveway.

-We have provided a guidebook/house manual for all guests that they will receive upon booking.
-As we are out in the country and have a pond in the backyard, we do battle mosquitoes during the warmer months. We do hope that the screen porch will provide the perfect barrier, but if you hope to enjoy more of the great outdoors, we do recommend packing your favorite bug spray.
- We have two large, friendly Bouviers, who love to greet guests. Beatrix and Mudbud are on an electric fence, and while their perimeter does not extend to the cottage, path, or the parking lot, they may bark their greeting, so please do not be alarmed.

Guests will find a well appointed interior complete with quality period furnishings and fine art from early-mid Century European artists. Our home was built in 1910 by Morris Schollenberger. He began the first Auto dealership in Wichita. There are many books filled with rich history about Wichita and the Delano area on the shelves in the parlor. Guests are welcome to browse thru the library and relax in the parlor or walk around the flower gardens or sit in one of the several sitting areas in around the gardens. The Schollenberger Room has a Queen size bed and a large closet. The private bathroom is original and has a large bathtub with a shower attachment added. The Penny tile on the floor will take you back to a time of early 1900's.
Guest access
In addition to the guest bedroom, the guest will have access to the Parlor, living room, & Dining room. The kitchen is available for guests to use the refrigerator if needed, but cooking is not available. We do have a microwave available if needed. Please let us know if you will be using the kitchen items.
The front porch is a wonderful place to relax. We have chairs and a swing for your enjoyment.
During your stay
We are as available to our guests as they want. We love to visit with guests, but will give them the privacy they want if that is their wish.

Our private studio apartment is nestled in the trees at the back of our property and centrally located in a perfect location in the heart of College Hill in Wichita.
It is within walking distance (just a few blocks) from the College Hill Park, swimming pool and amazing restaurants and bars.
Also within walking distance, there is a free bus, called The Q, that will take you back and forth to downtown Wichita and Old Town (bar and restaurant district) and Intrust Bank Arena.
The space
This is a completely private studio apartment above our garage at the back of our property (must be able to climb 1 flight of stairs). Plenty of free street parking available.
It is a cozy, newly decorated studio apartment complete with kitchenette, microwave, mini fridge, gas fireplace, built in blue tooth speaker and more!
The bed is a queen size with a super comfortable Serta mattress for perfect night's sleep!
