Historic Meets Modern at the Brick Street Apartment Studio Suite. It's classy, trendy, and so unique! We are located in the historic "Brick Street District" of downtown Augusta, KS. Our distinctively remodeled apartments are perfect if you're just traveling through or want a weekend getaway. The atmosphere is truly a one of a kind experience!

We kept much of the original exposed brick walls and retained much of the "mid-century" woodwork original to the building. From there, a full remodel with amazingly unique touches set our space apart from other nightly stay options. The Studio Suite features a king bed, a sitting area, a full bathroom with a distinctive curved shower door, plenty of towels and even a kitchenette with utensils, mini-fridge, sink, microwave, and even a Keurig coffee maker with complimentary K-cups, etc. If you’ve ever wanted to live in a downtown apartment, this will be the perfect opportunity to spoil yourself!
*Note for light sleepers: There is an active train track just blocks away so we keep ear plugs in the First Aid Box under the kitchen sink and have more upon request. Sound sensitive guests often will use Spotify to drown out the sound.
The apartment is located on the second floor of an office area secured by a heavy ornate metal and glass door. Once inside there are stairs going up to the suite that are wide, carpeted and well-lit.
There is free street parking but it is a business district so if you come early you may need to park a block or so away.

This property is located in an old "row building" in a historic downtown area complete with brick streets and tons of character. There is an amazing playground within walking distance as well as several shops, restaurants, and a yoga studio nearby. Santa Fe Lake is also a favorite attraction not far away with amazing walking trails, etc. If that’s not enough, we are just 20 minutes from Wichita where you'll find all sorts of shopping, dining, and a huge variety of activities including am amazing zoo!

Light sleepers are sometimes bothered by the sound of trains on the near by tracks. We have a high velocity fan you can request to drown out noise, ear plugs in the first aid kit or some guest use Spotify to play music or nature sounds while sleeping.

During business hours parking is limited, you may have to walk a block or so. Don’t forget to request a handcart in advanceshould you need to carry a lot upstairs! Uber is limited in this area, so plan accordingly. Renting a car is the best option if you're coming to stay for a while.

Bed very comfortable. There were plenty of dishes for 2. Plenty of towels and bedding. The walls are thin and you can hear the train, but the provided sound machine, fan, ear plugs were just fine. There is a cute coffee shop down the road we visited, but the host provided k-cups in the room as well. The next time we are in town to visit family, we will definitely stay here again!"

The Sunflower Loft was completed in the spring of 2023. The apartment was constructed using quality materials and professional design principles to insure the space would be both efficent and confortable. The 12 foot tall ceilings and 8 foot tall doors give the space a very open feeling. The kitchen and bath are of the latest design trends using granite, marble, ceramic tile and glass to make the loft feel like a luxury home. The bedroom features a beautiful antique chandelier, king sized bed, closet and large window. The living room has a sliding barn door 4 foot by 8 foot made from quarter sawn oak 2 inches thick. Also, the living room has a 65 inch smart TV, wall art and classy furniture. The washer and dryer insure all the conveniences of home. The house is located in the heart of Derby, close to all of the best that Derby has to offer. It's less than a block from Madison Avenue Central Park, which offers great walking trails, a playground, and event venue. It's just across the street from Panther Stadium (local high school). It is minutes from countless fast food restaurants and has easy access to the best parts of Rock Road and K-15. It's also just 10 minutes from McConnell Air Force Base, Spirit and Cessna.

Getting Around:
This house is located off Madison Avenue between K-15 and Rock Road so it has easy access to Derby, Mulvane, and Wichita.

Other Things to Note:
This is a QUIET neighborhood and we do NOT allow PARTIES. If there is any sign of a party (I.e. lots of people coming and going (especially late at night), excessive noise, complaints from the neighbors, lots of alcohol being brought in, signs of drug or and/or drug paraphernalia), you will be escorted out of the property immediately without refund.

Eisenhower National Airport. Located nearly in the middle of the city, right by US-54 Highway, providing quick and easy access for guests to enjoy Wichita’s museums, shopping centers, restaurants, local bars & clubs in the heart of Old Town Square, avenues and venues like Intrust Bank Arena and Century II.

The space
This modernized keyless entry space is a single bedroom apartment comes with its own dining area, kitchen, bathroom and private entryway. The space has its own private driveway in the rear of the home, convenient for guests to come and go without contact. Guests have their own private walkway up to the space on the second floor. Guests will notice going through the gated fence of the backyard and up the stairs, the space has plenty of windows overlooking the private driveway and walkway. For added security, the backyard also has security cameras and plenty of solar lights to guide guests at night.

Guests will stay in the attached apartment, if needed however there is access to a washer and dryer. Just let us know if this is needed so we can open the lower level door and put away our dogs for you.

Other things to note
There is a dog that lives on the property. She does not go into the guest apartment so no fear of allergies! The dog does go in the backyard to relieve herself but if she is out when you need to come in, simply message and we will bring her inside.

We use Tide Hygienic Clean for your linens. We have found it to be effective and non irritating to skin. If you have an allergy to detergent, we do have a hypoallergenic detergent on hand we would be happy to use instead. Just let us know at least 2 days before your arrival so we can rewash your linens

The full size kitchen, dining room and living room have an open cozy feel. The bedrooms are on either end of the apartment. The main bedroom has a queen size bed and second bedroom has two single beds for sleeping with an air mattress and pack n play in the closet. Full bathroom next to the main bedroom with apartment size washer/dryer for laundry. Bathroom has a walk in shower. Backyard is a shared space with the host.

Guest may enjoy the entire apartment including the entrance to the outside blue back door, the steps down to the apartment, and space right in front of the apartment. The room at the bottom of the steps marked "laundry", the lockers in the back entry and steps leading up to the host's back door are the host's space.

Guests park along the street. There is a cement sidewalk that leads to the apartment entrance. It is well lit path.

Guest are welcome to utilize that backyard by using the picnic table on the patio and yard space up to the fence and bushes. This would be a shared space with the host. There are folding chairs next to the outside blue door that guest may use and return.

We kept much of the original exposed brick walls and retained much of the "mid-century" woodwork original to the building. From there, a full remodel with amazingly unique touches set our space apart from other nightly stay options. The Studio Suite features a king bed, a sitting area, a full bathroom with a distinctive curved shower door, plenty of towels and even a kitchenette with utensils, mini-fridge, sink, microwave, and even a Keurig coffee maker with complimentary K-cups, etc. If you’ve ever wanted to live in a downtown apartment, this will be the perfect opportunity to spoil yourself!
*Note for light sleepers: There is an active train track just blocks away so we keep ear plugs in the First Aid Box under the kitchen sink and have more upon request. Sound sensitive guests often will use Spotify to drown out the sound.

The apartment is located on the second floor of an office area secured by a heavy ornate metal and glass door. Once inside there are stairs going up to the suite that are wide, carpeted and well-lit.
There is free street parking but it is a business district so if you come early you may need to park a block or so away.

Other things to note
Light sleepers are sometimes bothered by the sound of trains on the near by tracks. We have a high velocity fan you can request to drown out noise, ear plugs in the first aid kit or some guest use Spotify to play music or nature sounds while sleeping.
