Unique and tranquil getaway. Exclusive to guest and very private. Central to Council Bluffs area with a 5-10 minute drive to most of Council Bluffs and 10 minute Drive to Omaha. Small Turn Staircase is not steep as tread height is 7 1/2" USA standard. Spacious sleeping room/Living Room, Kitchen and small bathroom with new shower.

The space
Relaxing upstairs guest house loft all to yourself. Kitchenette and bathroom with full shower. Bedroom studio with tv, couch, and table for two! Stairs wrap a quarter turn and are normal height.

No shared spaces! Complete private access and guest house loft to yourself.

Enjoy some quite and peace among the deer, birds, raccoons and tree's. Be one with nature and de-stress.
The goat's that are on the property love to make friends with new people. A have a fire pit plus a charcoal grill are avail. A bathroom are located in the lower level of the main house.-- a short walk. AC and Heat are avail in the lodge. Dogs are allowed BUT need to be reviewed before booking plus with a additional fee collected. NOTE: October-April the shower IS NOT AVAILABLE

Beautiful studio loft over garage at our urban farm. Enjoy the country feel with the convenience of being right in town. Your door is straight across from the chickens, ducks and rabbits and down the hill from the goats and miniature horse. Tour and/or fresh eggs available.

The space
This is a studio apartment over the garage. It includes a beautiful dining area and kitchenette with microwave, toaster oven and mini fridge/freezer as well as a living area with TV, full size futon and daybed with trundle. The bathroom has a heated floor and large corner jacuzzi tub with rain shower head.

This property is an urban farm in a quiet residential neighborhood. Our house is also on the property and we are available should you need anything.
Your car will be parked on the driveway out front and you will need to walk up the driveway to the garage, then through the gate into the backyard and around to the back side of the garage second story. This is accessed by a set of uneven stone steps with no hand rail. There are security lights all night.

Our dogs may bark at you but will not be loose. There are also cats, rabbits, chickens, ducks, goats, and a miniature horse on the property. There are no animals allowed in the loft or loose in the area of the yard you must walk through to access the loft door except for outdoor cats. The chicken coop is 15 feet from the loft door and you will hear the girls talking in the morning. If you venture to take a look at the animals, the farm terrain is mostly dirt/mud and sloped as the entire backyard is a hill.

Guest access
Your space is the loft studio apartment above the garage. There is no access to the garage. You will walk through our backyard to get to the loft door. You can walk around the area of the backyard that you can access without going through another gate. Do not open gates or animals pens or hutches without permission. An urban farm tour can be arranged if you would like to visit the animals (rabbits, goats, miniature horse, poultry).

Other things to note
When we need to open and close the garage door below you, it will be loud through the floor.
There will also be noise from barking dogs, other animals, and children in the backyard!
Adults may be outside working, caring for animals, etc as well.
There will be a one lane spot available in the driveway for parking. Parking is also allowed on the opposite side of the street but not legal on our side. The city also does not allow parking on the gravel area in our front yard.

Walkable distance to restaurants and bars, family-friendly activities, nightlife, public transport, and a few minutes by car to Lake Manawa beach. You’ll love my place because of the ambiance, the location, the neighborhood, and the outdoors space. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and healthcare professionals.

The space
Reserve your stay in one of our 4 luxury guest rooms at the historic Thomas Metcalf House in Downtown Council Bluffs. Suite 1 is an intimate space, Suite 2 is warm, cozy with a huge walk-in closet, Suite 3 is for stained glass lovers, and coming soon is the Bridal Suite with two rooms and a canopy bed with a private bath on-suite.
Suites 1, 2, and 3 can accommodate 2 people each. Bridal Suite can accommodate up to 4 people and is priced at $400/per night (When it is available).

As hosts we are on property to check you in and to ensure you are comfortable and happy with your accommodations. Just keep us informed. We are here to ensure your stay is a success. Also let us know if you are celebrating a special event.

During your stay
David and I enjoy hosting our MTV Fans as well. We are available for photos and a quick video to celebrate your time with us. Just let us know.

Other things to note
David and I offer : Tours 1 to 2 hours and the cost is $75/hr for up to 2 hours. Just let us know your interest in history, houses, museums, and other attractions.
Special Event : Wine or Beer Flights with Charcuterie Boards for 2 are available upon request for $100 for 2 people.

A tranquil country setting with a private fishing lake to enjoy. The lodge is completely independent of our home with separate entrance. Access to the lake for enjoyment including a boat and canoe (waiver required). We are in the country, but only minutes from Council Bluffs, Downtown or West Omaha. Whether you are looking for a weekend-get-away, the College World Series, Berkshire Hathaway Week, NCAA B-Ball, Olympic Trials, or work we have one of the best locations around for relaxing.

The space
We love our relaxing lake for fishing, swimming, or reading under a shade tree in the Adirondack chairs. We have a "unique" property that is very private, yet still close to many major Omaha events throughout the year.

Guest access
With the private space, you will enjoy sitting/living room with pull-out sofa, kitchen, bedroom with queen bed, bathroom with full size washer/dryer amenities. You will have access to Smart HDTV, Secure Wireless WI-FI internet connectivity, Alexa, and Direct TV Now. We have parking in the garage if you so choose.

Other things to note
The wildlife and nature animals can be seen almost anytime of the day here. The deer to turkey roam as close as the front yard, and our resident Canadian geese are always at the lake. If you choose to go fishing (we like to call it "catching"), lets hope you also see some fish.
